Thank you Kenz! I do agree with you that we (other session women) need to communicate with each other. I have actually done that with several and it is a big help:)

Hello all.

I rarely post here but really felt the need to express a few thoughts on cancellations and no shows.

After several recent session trips to major metropolitan cities, I have been extremely frustrated and disappointed to have had many cancellations (some very last minute) and several no shows. For instance, I am currently finishing up a trip to Philly, Baltimore and DC. On this trip alone I have had 8 cancellations....three of which were two- hour  sessions. That equates to 11 missed sessions that were all confirmed and booked!!

It is amazing to me how many "car accidents", "family emergencies" and "sudden business trips" pop up at the very last minute.
I really DO UNDERSTAND life happens...emergencies come up and some things are just unavoidable. It does make me wonder however if I had collected deposits on those sessions (which I rarely do)  would that car really have "broken down" or "business trip" been suddenly planned? Perhaps, but at least I wouldn't have been out each and every penny I had counted on.

I am a very positive, trusting and appreciative person. I honestly do love doing sessions and bringing some happiness and pleasure to the gentlemen who take the time (and spend their hard earned money) to see me. However the seemingly never ending cancellations and no-shows has me seriously considering implementing a deposit policy for all new appts. I really would rather not have to do this but it  seems unavoidable to me.

On the flip side of things I can completely understand the reluctance to give a deposit!!! With all the recent issues of deposits being lost, stolen and not returned, one would rightfully be hesitant. Usually word of mouth gets around. The names of sessionettes known for abusing and or stealing deposits becomes known and sending them a deposit should be avoided. Conversely, word of mouth gets around about the honest women and who one can trust.

I would like to add this....if you would like to book a session with me or any other sessionette please remember this: we plan on and book our times and schedules around you and your appts. PLEASE do not book something if you honestly do not plan showing up!!! While it may be exciting to connect with, text and email your favorite fbb, I, as do many other fbb's, take my job doing sessions very seriously! I make my living doing sessions and depend on you following through with your appts.

Thanks for listening!   ;) I'd love to hear your thoughts on this subject.

Hope to see many of you on my upcoming trips :)

the same could have wrote jana....

jana has a new system now...if guests book a one month membership to her website, they get the money back (19$) when they show up...so they arent paying a deposit....they get 200 gibyte of clips and pics...

Thanks for posting, Kris. And you know your fans in upstate NY would never let you down :-)  We miss you! Best wishes in 2014.

I commented before I don't mind a deposit if its reasonable amount and the session provider is known to be reliable-  however, I understand that many people won't do deposits so by requesting you might be turning off business-  one solution might be to ask for references, if the person has seen others and not cancelled, you have a better chance of him honoring the appointment, lastly on another thread it was recently stated that the women have gotten burned by cancellations a lot more than the men by losing deposits- I would have to agree with that- I have only been asked for deposits on a few occasions, but on all those occasions I never lost a deposit

most session girls are having this problem i think. for me maybe 30 to 40 percent of guys who book sessions don't show up, so most trips don't make profit for me. i try to ask for deposit but i know that most guys don't like to pay this so i don't have option but to take booking without deposit. also many guys pretend they want a session but really they just want to chat and keep sending many emails. i like to chat with my fans but i just don't have time to do this.

I had no idea the problem was so rampant. 40% wow? I would never not just show up or set something up with the intention of never going. I had to cancel an appointment only once, but because my preferred slots were taken and on the one that was avaiable I took a gamble and it did not work out, but I told her so beforehand.

I think with the internet established sessionettes should ask for a deposit, if they are reliable. I am guessing many do not because they are afraid to lose buisness.

People need to consider the costs these women incur. It isnt just meeting her, but also the time spent in the gym, the cost for supplements.

Kris,

After having read your post and trying to put myself in your shoes, I would most definitely start requiring deposits; at the least from first-timers who have no referrals.  I know that this is probably an unpopular stance on this board, but you are a service provider; doctors to hair stylists all charge cancellation fees, and with virtually no ability for you to do that, I see no other choice than requiring deposits.

I know you are well regarded on this board, and I gather from reading previous posts that you have established yourself as trustworthy, so I really don't believe first-timers should have a problem with a reasonable, required deposit.

Just my two cents, and good luck; we need more open dialog to de-mystify sessions.

Thanks.

Sad to see the scene go this way, but if it's what it takes...

Kris when are you coming over to the U.K.? Don't think you'll get one calculation..

clarkflex

Thank you all for your input and thoughts:)

Red, I hope to be back in the UK late this spring or early summer. I actually hope to have several "calculations" but no cancellations  ;)

Thanks again  :-*

Make no mistake, deposits are a necessary evel, courtesy of the tossers who see fit to mess the girls around.  The girls then suffer, as do the honest session guys.

and dont forget ...girls that i know dont like to ask for deposit, because a big part goes to the card company, another part is lost with bad exchange rate....and the rest is lost by taxes....they would prefer to deal with honest people

Eight no shows during one week,  :wow: Shocked that happens to a woman with your sterling reputation. Did you have to turn down anyone due to a slot being booked by a no show? Very sad this business has deteriorated so much.  :'(

:shucks   Requiring a deposit seems to be the only effective tool to weed out the no shows

BGF - why don't you just say that the girls you know would prefer to avoid paying any taxes on the income they earn ?? In the USA it's called Tax Fraud - don't know if the same term is used in Europe.  However - isn't it better to get a deposit even if the provider has to pay taxes on it rather than getting nothing ??
