Hopefully I put this under the right topic thread.  Been back and forth with a physique competitor near my area and finally asked about MW sessions. She replied "how much could I make from that?"  I gave her a broad range depending on numerous factors. She literally laughed and said "it would need to be $1000 because I can make $300 for a five minute video".

Is that the going rate for videos?  If so, I think we cracked the code as to why the scene seems to be shrinking. (Maybe everyone already knows this and I'm late to the party).

  Did she mean for shooting one or sales via OF? The lesson is you are not recruiting her for others. If you want to session with her  you make an offer that gets her attention ahead of getting her on the scene

Correct,  but I think his point was he was surprised that a number of guys are willing to pay $300 for a 5 minute video.

And let's face it, a lot of guys are too shy to show up for an in person session and they'll throw all kinds of money on cams and custom vids. Yeah, I figure that's the main reason there aren't a lot of women doing in person.

The time for her to care what other guys might pay for a session with her is (hopefully) after she enjoys doing the session with you. You most likely are going to need to take one for the team as it were when you do this with someone new, you'll be paying more than others will eventually so you'd better really want to do the session and be prepared to lay out accordingly.

If she's getting $300 for a short video - for the sake of argument, assume her makeup was already done and she does 2 takes to get it right - then $1000 to leave the house and go meet someone sounds like a good deal for the would-be client.

If she can get that $$ more power to her but still till the day I die no one is worth $1000 an hr idc who it is or how great the session. But usually UTR rates especially if you trying to get someone brand new will be on the higher end..thrown added travel cost (gas/tolls) and getting hotel it adds up.

If she can get $300/5-minute-video at scale, there is no point for her to do sessions (at a normal price point) at all. If she just sells one or two videos at that price, she may circle back to the session world, and $500 or less won't seem bad. To make a not-so-perfect analogy, if you have a job working from home, would you be willing to switch to an in-person job making the same amount just so useless middle managers can tap on your shoulder all day?

For some people, the good times don't last forever and at some point you may have to "go to work" (i.e., work in person). Others may just be lucky enough to be very popular and have tons of suckers willing to pay high prices for very little. In the OF thread, someone posted Carriejune Bowlby's page, and I took a look. She was selling 6 second videos of her trying on shorts from her clothing line for $50 (I didn't buy). Suckering one guy into buying that video is just as good as selling an actual pair of shorts, and you don't need to take a trip to the post office.

And no, it's not the going rate for videos. There isn't one going rate. I've had some sell me amazing stuff for $20 (somehow, aka they probably don't want to risk losing the sale), some for $50 (ended up re-selling it for cheaper at scale, no issue for me, $50 was still good), and a number for $100, occasionally $200. I did pay someone $200 once for a video that'd normally be $100 as some appreciation + motivation to hit all of the details in the "script" I mentioned + make it quickly (she made it same day). That's with the 20% overhead from OF though, and the $200 is probably just because that's the max tip on OF. Videos are more expensive if it's not a solo video though.

I guess it should be mentioned that just because somebody "can" get $300 for a video doesn't mean they do get that rate often. I imagine the more fame that the person has online especially with the younger generations.  The easier it is for them to monetize online with it. I am still kind of miffed about the "influencer" craze that has happened in the past 15 years. Many of these people are unknown and don't have their fame with older generations   So finding someone who's fairly new to the scene or someone who is UTR has some advantages in price. But there will be inexperience to deal with. 

Kind of reminds me of the online personalize videos website, I would imagine supply and demand quantifies the price.

I took a look around Cameo this morning. Obviously not sexual, and the videos tend to be on the shorter side. Lots of folks who were former reality tv stars, crossfit athletes, "influencers," "life coaches," various other scam jobs. Charging various amounts, mostly $50-100, sometimes a bit more.

Then I saw Erin Andrews on there. Something doesn't add up. Why would someone actually famous and successful making millions working on ESPN, Fox, be wasting her time making a video for $250? She has a business price of $1750, and I saw she did a 30 second video on youtube promoting some crypto platform (in the video, it's obvious she knows nothing about crypto). Still seems kind of a waste of time for her, especially with some risk to her image if said crypto platform goes under or whatever.

PS, you are correct.  It was the first time I had anyone bite on the MW question via IG and may have dropped the ball and I was too vague.  I don't know where she is making that kind of coin for a video so I guess I was looking for some insight from y'all.

I'm going to follow up to see if she'll tell me where she's doing those vids.

  The follow up needs to be an offer to see her rather than going over old ground. And don't think of it as taking one for the team as suggested. If you want to see her  make it happen for only you. DM or email for any advice you want

I've never cold called a request, only asked about meeting after having already exchanged unrelated messages over a period of at least a month. Have found a good success rate with this approach.
