Virus-related cancellations

Hey guys  - I was curious... has anyone encountered sessionettes who canceled on you to due to virus concerns? Or have you had to cancel any of your session plans? I have a couple of sessions booked for late March and early May, and still plan on keeping them. This whole mess is very disruptive! I wrote to the admin at Session Girls and asked whether they might have a pop up box on the home page, warning of potential virus-related cancellations.

I know some people have had to cancel a visit to a city because of it (mainly in Italy). I'm sure it'll become a bigger issue in the coming weeks.

Yes. Both of us decided to postpone the session for a couple of months

Thanks! I think it's a good idea to be cautious. This shit is getting real for sure - it's amazing all the cancellations announced just today.

This is definitely something to think about, I was thinking about booking a session for someone coming to town next weekend but with this thing going around, it's a no go for me.

I am very surprised that so many women maintain their tours and sessions and don't postpone. I think it would be a responsible behavior not to have sessions in this period. I have cancelled a session last week (I apologized and cancelled 5 days before the date, of course it was not a "no show"), and think we all should do the same.

I dont agree but to each his own. If that is how you feel great. But not everyone feels the same way.

MakeMeFly

Absolutely. No need for this panic. The media is blowing everything out of proportion.

I absolutely don't panic. I have no fear for myself : I am in very good health, and this virus would have on me no more effect than a big flu. But it is a responsibility as a citizen: help the autorithies so that the virus don't spread more and more, block the health system, kill many many weak, ill and older people.
You can prefer trust Donald Trump than "medias" or scientists. In Europe, the recent measures are drastic : close all schools, high schools, universities, sport clubs, theaters, museums... The economic activity almost stops. You can think it is a priority to keep on doing sessions on this period. Or not.
You can be a little shocked when a session woman announces: "coronavirus discounts !". Or find it is a good opportunity. It's up to you.
The sessions I do are sensual. Lips are involved. A touring session woman can do 8 sessions in a day. It appears to me a less prioritary activity than schools, universities, museums, theaters...are. And they are all closed!
In Italy, the nurses and doctors are exhausted: the hospitals are full, they have to chose between the patients who they will attend to and who (mostly elders) they will let die. You could think one or two months ago that medias were overreacting (I did too) but maybe, now, you can open your eyes...
Same situation coming in Germany, France and Spain.
In less than one month, it will be the same in the USA. And with the Health system this country have, there might be many many (poor) people who will die with no medical care.

I'll say this much, sessions being what they are if either person is carrying the virus it's a virtual certainty they will pass it. So I would say taking some time off from sessions is prudent if either person is over the age of 50 or has any history of breathing-related illness.

Not only ! Each of us has a responsibility to try not to catch the virus, not only for our own's health, but mainly not to spread it. In order to limit the pandemia, it is my responsibility to limit my risk of being infected by the virus. If schools are closed, it is not to protect children (who are not in danger) but mainly to avoid that many of them are infected, even without symptoms, and get contagious.
It seems to me rather simple and easy to understand.

I have a session scheduled for later this month. I'm going to wait and see if the sessionette postpones the session.

I second this! For the moment there is no need to panic. But we have to follow strict rules - as we have in Austria since this week. Just to slow down the spread rate, so health care system can handle. If we don't .... believe me there will be reason to panic. And honestly said: I'm afraid exactly this will happen in US.
So damned, don't do things that are not really necessary. Don't travel. If we have some discipline it's just a short while ...

I think it would be wise to avoid sessions for the next couple weeks at least - if they are recommending not shaking hands sessions would seem riskier - I have something scheduled April 7 with a visitor - at this time I am planning on keeping - hopefully far enough out that things will be more normal

artax

I'm surprised there hasn't been more cancellations- I think if I was a session provider the last thing I would want to do right now is travel on planes and have close contact with many people
