Why is pain important to some men during sessions?

Please forgive me for my ignorance but it seems there is a small group of men out there who not only enjoy being dominated by muscular women but want stuff like:

Physiologically: when people are in pain, their brain responds by releasing a flood of endorphins. Many people end up forming a psychological connection between these and become masochistic- even very vanilla people may enjoy slapped or spanked during sex, for example.

Just like anything else, you can build up a tolerance to pain. Most people who want that sort of hardcore brutalization didn't start that way, but lesser punishments have lost their luster for them. Of course, at the point you're talking about it'd be irresponsible for any domme to oblige.

She did you a favor.  It would've gone from crappy to worst session ever if she'd gone through with it.  She'd done enough to know that only a certain "type" would go for something like that.  Everyone else would just get pissed off.

As a masochist you explained a great deal of it. For me I would be down and have had my balls treated like a punching bag and I've gotten some good punches to the face too. However, for me it's that a woman can do it. I'm not huge but I'm bigger than most women and unless they're putting in insane effort they're not beating me. The martial artists, boxing ladies and muscular women with skill can beat without effort and that's very hot to me.

Yeah, she was the absolute worst. Session was over in 20 minutes and I didn't even mind.

Pain isn't important per se, it's an occasional biproduct of my preferences. For some guys looking is enough to satisfy, I like feeling what she can do with her body firsthand. For a fbb that means her treating my body like so much gym equipment and for a boxer it can mean getting punched.
