If she really gave you no explanation, whatsoever, perhaps the attitude you've demonstrated here is the reason.

I didn't show any attitude. I booked the session after two or three email with no problems or "attitude". I'm always straight to the point and I don't waste anyone's time. Then, out of the blue, she just cancelled the session. I didn't even email her after that.

She canceled in advance and you didn't lose any money. You coulda just expressed your disappointment that she canceled - after all, shit happens - but no, you had to go in and question her professionalism on a public forum.

This Karen-ass, beta boi energy is a whole fucking problem in parts of Western society.

I'm not gonna comment on the stupid thing you or the stupid western society. She cancelled the session without an explanation and without even an apology. If you think that's professional, you have a problem. You can simp all you want for these women, they don't really care.

What you explained is 100% the definition of professional.  A professional email or any professional communication should be done with no personal feeling, slant, or information.  A professional email should be to the point and present the information clearly.

She doesn't owe you reason, nor does any other provider, or anything in a professional situation.  Any exposition beyond the facts, is personal choice. 

And if you going off of your own standards, you not replying back to her or further communicating with her, would be considered unprofessional.

She either ignored, didn't see, or read my email and decided I wasn't someone she wanted to see.  Such is life.  I do not take this stuff personally in anyway, it is a business transaction.  Plus I also realize I reached out to her 6 months before her tour dates to my area, sometimes women wait to reply and sometimes those emails just simply get lost.  I do not hold it against her at all....Garth Brooks once sang "some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers."  Sometimes the things we really want, are not the things we need and life steers us that way.

Actually your attitude is what is wrong with this community.  You act like you are owed something, you aren't.  I have had to cancel a session on short notice, I really didn't fee like sessioning right after getting a phone call telling me my mom was being put in the hospital.  I didn't tell the girl, other then I compensated her fairly for her lost time and that something personal came up that I didn't want to discuss.  When you cancel or change plans, there is no obligation to explain why, unless money had already changed hands and there is a opportunity to re-schedule.

Hell, a few years back I was on my way to a session that was supposed to be starting in 30 minutes, I texted the girl that I would like 5 minutes late but I was still coming.  In return I recieved a call tell me that she wasn't feeling well and didn't even make the trip to my city, and she thought she had contacted anyone.  I was pissed, but I also understand that we are all humans and shit happens in life.  I had a girl text me an hour after our session time saying she was sorry and something came up that she had to attend to and sent my deposit back in full.  She never visited my area again.  Again, she is a human and shit happens.

Just becuase things don't go the way we want them to doesn't mean the other party is being unprofessional or we are being wronged.  It means we are all humans and we all have different expectations of what we are owed in this world.

In the past 5 years (or so), I've cancelled on her twice, and she's been nothing but understanding both times. The first time, she held my deposit as a credit when she was within her rights to not do so.

It can be very frustrating, obviously, if it's last minute but we're not exactly operating above board here. Hell, I was supposed to meet someone in NJ last week and she ghosted me the day of the session - no deposit, thankfully 🙂

Like I said in my reviews a few pages ago: I've met her twice. These were not fake reviews. She is very well organized and remembers email communication. She provides an excellent session given her stated limits and her higher than average hourly rate. I scheduled a third encounter with her this year but she cancelled with an explanation, and refunded my deposit.

This is why several experienced clients of hers have given their recommendations and said she is professional.

And on the other hand we hear from you, over and again, putting this woman down while never having met her. She cancelled with you, well in advance. This is not a valid complaint, only a statement that she let you know she wouldn't provide the session. She didn't tell you why? That's your complaint?

This was very unfortunate, I was sick the night before due to a food poisoning. I had to cancel 6 appointments that day. With the travel expenses, I sure will never cancel without a legitimate reason. That being said, I wish to acknowledged your comment personally and publicly.

Everyone who travels overseas knows how uncomfortable it can be to be sick in a foreign country, all by oneself. You surely were compassionate when responding to my email because I felt no bitterness that day, only support. For that, I am very thankful.

Please keep in mind that we are referring to a cancelled appointment, without any lost money involved. I am one who does not request deposit base on faith and respect but also to avoid this type of situation. I get hundreds of cancellations per year and keep grinning and enjoying the session world. You took one lost.
