Rachael did much to promote FBB ( ...and the Wieder enterprise).  She's a drop dead beautiful woman & fit looking in a very attractive sort of way.  As far as muscularity?.... not so much.
( I'm ducking for the smite votes....but this was something that many of us early in competition had a hard time digesting)

Well,this was before Bev Francis turned the game on its head with her Terrific Uber-Muscled Body,so compared to Rachel,yes,Rachel was smaller.and,sadly at the time,looked down too,and rather unfairly,dare I add..Now,Bigger  is better,sometimes with tragic results,sad to say,with the addition of 'Roids added to both Men and Women's Bodybuilding.

When I saw Laura on "Real People" I gasped,"My God,She's Gorgeous!" I loved those muscles! My Grandpa didn't know why I got turned on by them,but I did!

Yes, true.  There were some muscled gals ( not uber-muscle)...but pretty defined pumped muscle that were not making the mark.

(grin)....interesting theory.  It was fairly obvious there in the 80's/90's period that a commercial component was playing in heavily as to who hit center stage and stayed there.  That said, these women...Cory & Racheal were a real shot in the arm for the gals out there that enjoyed athletics and looking strong.  They got the ball rolling.  ( I just was pondering the latest Saradas muscle goddess......my my)

What's funny is so many of the covers are from after she retired from competing. Her last contest was the 1984 Olympia when she got a "Thanks for Boosting FBB" gift tie for second with Mary Roberts behind Cory.

I think that she quit the bodybuilding contests because in 1984 she started acting in movies.  You can make a lot more money acting than doing bodybuilding contests.  She only did a few movies but did lots of tv commercials and some modeling.
