I thought that Paula's pics were on Saradas, but cannot find many, maybe her name is mis spelt so my search has not discovered. So, here is my collection anyway. Must be 11 years since she passed on, so this is a tribute to a stunning lady. Such a shame she is no longer with us.

[Timmon]

Date of Birth: ** October 1968
Date of Death: ** November 2001
Zodiac: Scorpio, Latin name: scorpio
Died at Age: 33 years

I don't know the full details first hand Moovee Guy, only what I have discovered over a few years.
She was one of the most popular FBB's, and very marketable to the FBB world at the time.
She fell into a life of depression, alchohol (and possibly drugs, not sure), was reduced to working in a topless / strip dance club where she earnt tips from customers etc. She was anorexic, and then found dead alone in her apartment. Seems unbelievable that such a beautiful lady can die so tragically.
I sent an old WPW video tape to one of her friends in the US about 8 years ago (WPW had no stock at thet time and this was before they started digging out their master tapes and releasing downloads).
He said Paula was a really wonderful person, kind and thoughtful to everyone, which makes her ending even more sad. He said he was going to share the tape with her family, so was very grateful to receive it.

How sad......man, that story makes me wanna cry. Just tragic

[Taylor]

That's a real shame. Poor girl...

[alison brundage]

Exactly Taylor,   I was looking at her pictures thinking ...wow I sort of remember her...and what a cute talented bodybuilder she is.   I had forgotten that she passed away...and like that.   There was in recent past years a top male surfer fellow that passed away the same way.  He was handsome and about as talented as it gets.  He died in a hotel room coming back from a contest....body saturated with drugs but he died of a heart attack.   His wife was just about ready to give birth to their first child.  Laura Combes as well passed away from alcohol intoxicaiton as I recall.   I surely hope that fame in sports was not primary in taking these young talents out.   If we have friends and they are in some sort of self denial...I should hope we do something that might save them.   I think so often as friends we tend to ignore the elephant in the living room ya know ?....we avoid the obvious for the sake of friendship?  Be honest with them, tough love ya know?

I don't remember the exact source but,I recall reading that Paula died from cancer complications.

[Timmon]

I don't remember the exact source but,I recall reading that Paula died from cancer complications.

I don't know about that Cas. It is reported that the coroner recorded "Natural Causes" for the death, but friends basically put it down to anorexia and drug addiction. Anorexia could of course be a side effect of cancer, but can't find any reference to cancer myself.
She moved to Vegas and fell victim to the seedy side of a rich boys playground, and that must be a hard situation to pull yourself out of.

[ginny333]

Yes its so sad. Shelley Beattie took her own life and to me she was a princess of FBB. Life can be very cruel.

[OdoHerr]

Well, timmon, I had also searched for the original thread to which you and I had mainly contributed, but could not find it no more.
It is not the only disparition: other original threads vanished, among them: Sharon Bruneau, Marjo Selin.

I recognize here some of my own scans: thank you, timmon, for reposting the whole collection.

Anyway, here are some more, not the best quality, but material about this lovely lady is so rare.
(among them 2 higher quality reposts)

As far as her death is concerned, I also had the only information that it had natural causes.

[Timmon]

Thanks OdoHerr. I thought you might have been the originalthread owner, as you are the Saradas historian in my opinion! There's not much you don't know about the golden age of FBB, and your library record is vast.
It is not uncommon to search and find classic athletes seem to have disappeared. Maybe the photo hosts deleted them and the mods got rid of the thread, as it was empty. Anyway, delighted to reinstate your work and K for the additional images of the legendary Paula. The colour video caps are from the video I sent to Paula's friend, I thought I'd added these to the original coverage of her as well, so it' good to get everything back under one thread once more.

[OdoHerr]

Timmon

Many thanks for your appreciation. But I want to say that I do not pretend to be the "owner" of anything here, even if I started numerous threads in this section. This is not my work only, I mean you also are one of the great suppliers here with so many high quality posts. And I do appreciate exchanging pics with people like you (and some others, too).

Best regards
