Hi it's my first story, English is not my language so I made my best. Also I used an help with IA

Chapter One

The Suit in the Woods

Almost no one used the path behind the school.

Clara knew it only because, on the days when she needed to breathe, she took the long way home instead of heading straight back through the streets. The trail cut through the small stretch of woods between the old neighborhood and the hill, winding beneath chestnut trees and tangled branches until the town noise faded behind her.

She was eighteen, in her final year, and lately everything felt like it was pressing on her at once: exams, expectations, choices, the future. Everyone seemed to know what they wanted to become. Clara only knew that she was tired of feeling small.

The air smelled of wet earth. It had rained earlier, and the low leaves brushed against her jeans as she walked with her backpack hanging from one shoulder. She wasn't looking for anything. She only wanted silence.

Then something glinted between the roots of an old chestnut tree.

At first, Clara thought it was plastic. Maybe a trash bag, half-buried in mud. She stepped closer, already annoyed that someone had dumped garbage in the woods. But when she pushed a branch aside with the toe of her shoe, the dark material beneath it shifted.

Clara froze.

It was a suit.

Or at least, it looked like one.

Black, smooth, and strangely glossy in places, it lay folded in the dirt as if it had been placed there carefully. It looked thinner than rubber, but firmer somehow, shaped with an impossible precision. There were no seams. No zipper. No labels. No sign that anyone had made it.

It seemed like a single piece of living material, molded for a body that wasn't there.

"What are you...?" Clara whispered.

She should have left it alone. That was the sensible thing to do. Turn around, walk home, forget she had ever seen it.

Instead, she crouched.

The moment her fingers brushed the surface, a warm vibration ran up her hand.

Clara gasped and tried to pull away, but the suit moved.

Slowly at first.

Then all at once.

The black material lifted from the ground as if it had woken from a deep sleep. Before she could scream, it wrapped around her wrist.

It did not hurt. It did not squeeze hard. The pressure was soft, steady, almost careful. Like a hand closing around her, but without fingers. Clara stumbled backward, yet the suit followed her movement, sliding up her arm like dark water.

"No. No, no, no—"

Her backpack dropped from her shoulder and hit the mud.

She grabbed at the material with her free hand, but the suit opened suddenly, spreading through the air with a smooth, silent motion. In the next instant, it slipped over her.

It was not like putting something on.

It was like being chosen.

The suit sealed itself across her shoulders, chest, back, waist, and legs. It moved over her body without coldness, without friction, without a single wrinkle. Clara felt every inch of it settle against her skin like a perfect second layer.

For one terrifying moment, she thought she would not be able to breathe.

Then she inhaled.

Air filled her lungs deeper than she could remember.

The panic changed.

A warmth spread under her skin, thick and strange, pulsing outward from her chest. It was not pain. It was energy. It felt like the burn after running, when the body aches but also feels more alive than ever.

Only this was stronger.

Deeper.

Almost beautiful.

Clara stood motionless among the trees.

The suit trembled once, then adjusted itself around her, following every muscle, every heartbeat, every breath. It no longer felt like a thing stuck to her. It felt as if it were listening.

As if it knew her body better than she did.

Then something inside Clara answered.

Her hands were shaking.

Not from fear this time.

She looked down at herself. The black surface hugged her arms and torso perfectly. It was smooth, flexible, and impossibly light. She lifted one hand, turned it slowly, then curled her fingers into a fist.

The movement felt different.

Sharper.

More certain.

She took a step.

The wet ground gave slightly beneath her shoe, but she did not slip. Her balance was perfect. Her legs felt rooted, steady, ready. She bent to pick up her backpack, expecting the usual pull against her shoulder.

Instead, she lifted it with two fingers.

Clara stared.

The bag was full of books, notebooks, her laptop, and a metal water bottle. Usually it dragged at her shoulder after ten minutes. Now it felt almost weightless.

"That's impossible," she murmured.

But her voice did not sound afraid anymore.

It sounded curious.

She looked around. The woods were empty. Trees, leaves, mud, wind.

A few steps away, half-hidden under moss and rainwater, lay a fallen branch as thick as her thigh.

Clara stared at it.

She did not know why, but she wanted to try.

She stepped toward it slowly, the suit moving with her like a second skin. She reached down and gripped the branch with both hands.

It should have been heavy.

It should have stayed stuck in the mud.

Clara pulled.

The branch rose easily.

Too easily.

Her eyes widened as she lifted it clear off the ground. Mud dripped from the bark. She held it in front of herself, then, almost without thinking, raised it higher.

Over her head.

The motion was smooth.

Natural.

Powerful.

Her heart hammered, not from effort, but from the thrill of it.

She lowered the branch and let it fall. It struck the ground with a heavy thud.

Clara looked at her hands again.

Something had changed. Not enough to see clearly yet, but enough to feel. There was a tension beneath the suit now, a readiness under her skin. Her arms felt warmer. Her shoulders felt stronger. Her whole body felt as if it were waiting for permission.

A thought came to her.

Clearer than any thought she had had in weeks.

I don't want to feel small anymore.

The suit pulsed.

Clara swallowed.

The woods seemed to go silent around her.

Chapter Two

The Shape of Strength

For a few seconds, Clara did not move.

The thought stayed in her mind, bright and impossible to ignore.

She was tired of feeling small. Not just physically. She was tired of being talked over in class, tired of shrinking into herself when someone laughed too loudly, tired of pretending she did not care when people treated her like she was fragile or forgettable.

She remembered gym class. The pull-up bar. The way her arms had trembled while others watched. The joking comments, not cruel enough to complain about, but sharp enough to stay with her.

She remembered walking through crowded halls with her shoulders slightly hunched, making space for everyone else.

She remembered wanting, just once, to feel impossible to ignore.

Strong.

Not delicate.

Not uncertain.

Strong.

The moment she admitted it to herself, the suit reacted.

Warmth surged through her chest.

Clara gasped and took a step back, but there was nowhere to run from something that was already part of her. The black material tightened against her body, not painfully, but with a firm, deliberate pressure. It felt as if the suit were holding her together while something underneath began to change.

Her arms tensed.

At first it was only a fullness beneath the skin, a slow swelling pressure, controlled and deep. Then the muscles began to grow.

Clara's breath caught.

Her biceps rose beneath the suit, rounding out in smooth, powerful curves. The material stretched with them perfectly, never tearing, never resisting. Her forearms thickened, becoming dense and solid, their shape sharpening as new lines formed beneath the black surface.

Her shoulders broadened with a slow, heavy pulse.

Clara stared as her own silhouette changed in front of her eyes.

The growth was not chaotic. It was precise. Beautifully precise. Every new inch seemed to belong exactly where it appeared. Her upper arms filled out, her shoulders capped into strong, rounded muscle, and her chest and back tightened with a new, powerful structure.

It did not feel fake.

It did not feel like air or padding or some temporary trick.

It felt real.

Alive.

Hers.

Clara lifted one trembling hand and touched her opposite arm.

Her fingers pressed into her bicep.

The muscle was hard.

Not stiff like stone, but dense, warm, and living. She squeezed gently, then harder, and the muscle pushed back against her grip with shocking solidity.

Clara's mouth fell open.

"Oh my God..."

A thin vein appeared along her forearm, then another near the bend of her elbow, faint at first, then clearer beneath the suit's strange surface. They traced delicate, powerful lines over the new muscle, like proof that what was happening was not an illusion.

She flexed without meaning to.

Her bicep rose.

Large.

Round.

Undeniably real.

Clara let out a short laugh. It was nervous at first, then brighter, freer.

She flexed again.

This time on purpose.

The muscle swelled into a powerful curve, and she stared at it with wide eyes, half shocked and half amazed. Her arm looked like it belonged to an athlete, someone who spent years building strength. But the feeling was even more unbelievable than the sight. She could sense the weight of it, the power stored inside it, the way every fiber responded when she moved.

The suit pulsed again.

The warmth dropped lower.

Clara braced herself as her legs began to change.

Her thighs tightened first, then expanded. The muscles pressed outward, firm and sculpted, filling the suit with a strength that made her stance wider and more grounded. Her calves followed, hardening into clean, defined shapes. She shifted her weight, and the earth beneath her seemed less unstable than before.

She felt anchored.

Balanced.

Powerful.

Her back pulled straight on its own. Her shoulders no longer wanted to curl forward. Her body had become too strong for that old habit.

Clara ran both hands slowly over her arms, then across her shoulders. Every touch confirmed it. The muscles were there. Solid. Permanent. Real.

They were not swelling and shrinking. They were not fading.

They remained.

Her body had changed, and it was staying changed.

The realization should have terrified her.

Instead, it sent a thrill through her so intense that she laughed again.

She turned toward the fallen branch.

This time she did not hesitate.

Clara grabbed it with one hand.

One hand.

She lifted it from the mud and raised it to shoulder height, staring at it as if it had betrayed the laws of the world. Then she curled her arm slightly, and the branch moved with it.

Her bicep tightened into a thick, powerful mound.

A rush of excitement shot through her.

She tossed the branch aside.

It crashed through wet leaves and rolled against a tree.

Clara stood there breathing hard, though not from effort. Her heart was racing because she loved it.

She loved the strength.

She loved the weight of her new muscles.

She loved the veins standing out along her arms, the way her shoulders filled the suit, the way her legs felt like they could carry her anywhere and stop for nothing.

She looked around quickly, searching for some way to see herself properly.

There was a shallow pool of rainwater near the roots of the chestnut tree.

Clara walked toward it, each step heavier and more confident than the last. She crouched beside the water and looked down.

The reflection trembled.

Then the image steadied.

Her face was still hers: wide eyes, flushed cheeks, damp strands of hair around her forehead.

But below that, everything had changed.

The girl staring back at her had broad shoulders, powerful arms, a stronger neck, and a body shaped by muscle that had not been there minutes before. The black suit clung to every new curve and line like it had been made for this version of her all along.

Clara touched her reflection with two fingers.

The water rippled.

She looked down at her real arm and flexed again.

The muscle rose.

She smiled.

Slowly, almost carefully, she traced the shape of her bicep with her fingertips, then followed the vein down her forearm. She touched her shoulder, feeling the rounded strength there, then her thigh, firm and solid beneath the suit.

Her breath shook.

Not with fear.

With excitement.

"This is me," she whispered.

The words felt impossible.

Then they felt true.

She stood and looked at herself in the water again. The suit gave a soft vibration, almost like approval. Clara lifted both arms this time and flexed them together.

The reflection showed a body full of power.

Full of muscle.

Full of strength that would not disappear.

A grin spread across her face.

"I'm strong," she said.

Then, louder:

"I'm really strong."

The words seemed to change the air around her.

For the first time in as long as she could remember, Clara did not want to hide. She did not want to make herself smaller, quieter, easier to overlook.

She wanted to see what else she could do.

She wanted to know how far this strength could go.

The suit pulsed gently against her skin.

And Clara smiled back at her reflection, no longer sure whether the strange thing from the woods had found her by accident.

Or whether it had known exactly what she wanted before she did.

Chapter Three

The Return

Clara went back home almost running.

Not because she was afraid.

That was the strangest part.

The fear that had seemed unavoidable only a short while earlier had vanished somewhere in the woods, left behind among the roots of the chestnut tree and the broken branch she had lifted as if it weighed nothing.

Now there was only energy inside her.

So much of it.

Too much.

It pulsed through her legs, her shoulders, her back. Every step felt longer, steadier, more decisive. The black suit clung to her body as if it had been born with her, following every movement of her new muscles: real, full, powerful. Clara could feel her quadriceps contracting with every climb, her calves pushing against the ground, her hard abs moving with each breath.

Halfway home, she stopped in front of the dark window of a closed laundromat.

The reflection was dim, slightly distorted, but it was enough.

Clara saw herself.

And smiled.

She was no longer the girl who had left the house that morning with a heavy backpack and rounded shoulders. Her arms were big, sculpted, crossed by visible veins whenever she clenched her fists. Her shoulders widened her whole frame. Her torso was compact, powerful. Her legs looked as if they could crack the pavement beneath her steps.

Slowly, she raised one arm.

She flexed.

Her bicep rose, round and hard, swelling beneath the glossy surface of the suit. A vein ran along her forearm, sharp and alive, as if her own body wanted to display how much it had changed.

Clara laughed softly.

Then she flexed the other arm too.

The girl reflected in the window almost seemed to be challenging her.

And Clara loved that feeling.

She ran her hands over her arms. Her nails, longer and more polished than she remembered, slid over the suit with the faintest sound, following the curve of her biceps, then the cut of her forearms, then the veins that rose whenever she clenched her fists. She was not simply touching herself to check.

She was recognizing herself.

Taking possession of every new line.

With her fingertips, she moved up to her shoulders, slowly massaging her round, hard, full deltoids. Beneath the suit, there was nothing inflated, nothing fake. Every muscle responded to her touch with living tension.

Clara smiled again.

"Do you even understand what I'm becoming?" she whispered to her own reflection, before she had even reached home.

When she arrived at the front door, her heart was beating fast, but not from running. It felt as if there were a storm beneath her skin. She opened the door with one hand, maybe a little too quickly: the handle creaked.

Clara stopped.

She looked at the handle.

Then she smiled even more.

She climbed the stairs two steps at a time.

From inside the apartment came the sound of the television. Her brother, Matteo, was probably on the couch. Her father had to be in the kitchen, as usual at that hour, preparing something while pretending not to watch the game too.

Clara stood for a second outside the door.

She inhaled.

The suit tightened gently around her body, as if encouraging her.

Then she went in.

"I'm home."

Matteo did not immediately look up from his phone.

"About time. Mom said you—"

He stopped.

The phone almost slipped from his hands.

Clara stood in the entrance hall, her backpack hanging from one shoulder as if it weighed nothing. The corridor light drew her new figure clearly: broad shoulders, powerful arms, a narrow waist, solid legs. The black suit seemed to absorb the shadows and return them as strength.

Matteo stared at her, speechless.

"Clara...?"

She tilted her head slightly.

"What?"

She said it naturally, but the smile on her lips was far too wide to seem innocent.

Her father appeared from the hallway, a kitchen towel in one hand.

"What's going on? Why are you making that face?"

Then he saw Clara.

He stopped.

Silence fell all at once.

Clara felt it.

And she liked it.

It was not the distracted silence of people ignoring her. It was not that empty space where she had so often felt herself disappear.

It was attention.

Full.

Absolute.

Her father slowly lowered the towel.

"Clara... what on earth...?"

She let her backpack drop to the floor.

The thud was heavy.

Then she took a step forward.

"I don't really know," she said. "But look."

She raised both arms.

She flexed.

Her biceps exploded into two huge, compact curves. The veins along her forearms became more visible as she clenched her fists. Her shoulders contracted, broad and round, and her chest rose with a deep breath.

The suit seemed designed to enhance every detail: the separation between bicep and tricep, the hardness of her forearms, the line of her traps rising toward her neck, the back that widened her posture even when she stood still.

Matteo stood up from the couch without realizing it.

"But... that's impossible."

Clara bent one arm further, watching her own bicep as if she were admiring a trophy.

"It doesn't look impossible."

Then she looked at her arm and smiled.

"Do you realize the kind of strength I'm slowly reaching?"

No one answered.

Clara walked over to the narrow mirror hanging near the entrance. Before, she had always avoided it. Usually it showed her a version of herself she did not care to look at for too long.

Now she stood before her reflection calmly.

Proudly.

She tightened her abdomen.

The suit clung even more closely to her torso, revealing the sharp lines of her abs: hard, deep blocks, sculpted as if they had been built over years of training. Clara passed her fingers over those new shapes, following every separation, every ridge. Her nails slowly traced the grooves between each abdominal muscle, then moved up toward her ribs, over her obliques, along the tense line of her side.

She inhaled deeply.

Every muscle in her torso seemed to tighten.

Then she looked at Matteo through the mirror.

He was not laughing.

He was not making jokes.

He could not even speak.

Clara lowered her hands to her hips and tightened her abs again, then turned her torso slightly. Her obliques appeared sharp, strong, full of controlled tension.

"I can feel them," she said, almost amazed. "I can feel everything. Every muscle. Every vein. Every fiber."

Her father took a step forward, but stopped immediately, as if he did not know whether he truly wanted to come closer.

"Are you all right? Does anything hurt?"

Clara turned toward him.

For an instant, something in her gaze changed.

It was not anger.

It was not cruelty.

It was a new kind of confidence, almost heavy, filling the room more than her body itself.

"I feel great."

She said it quietly.

Then she raised one arm in front of them and flexed it again. Her bicep swelled beneath the suit, hard, huge, crossed by veins that seemed to pulse with her euphoria.

Clara looked first at her father, then at Matteo.

"Touch it."

Matteo blinked.

"What?"

"Touch it," she repeated, more firmly. "My arm. I want you to feel it."

It was not really a request.

It was a calm order.

Matteo hesitated. He looked at their father, then back at Clara. Finally, he reached out and placed his fingers on her flexed bicep.

His expression changed at once.

First disbelief.

Then fear.

"It's... rock hard."

Clara smiled, satisfied.

"Harder."

Matteo pressed a little more.

The muscle did not give.

It did not tremble.

It did not lose its shape.

Clara watched him from the height of her new certainty, motionless, letting him understand on his own. Matteo's arm looked small next to hers. His hand almost disappeared against the full curve of her bicep.

She flexed just a little more.

Matteo pulled his hand back sharply.

Clara laughed.

"Did you feel that?"

He nodded without speaking.

Clara turned toward her father.

"Now you."

Her father remained still.

"Clara..."

"Dad."

The way she said it was enough.

He slowly approached and placed his hand on her forearm. Clara clenched her fist. Veins rose beneath the surface of the suit, thick and alive, and her forearm became a compact mass full of strength.

Her father tightened his jaw.

"This isn't normal."

"No," Clara said. "It's better."

He lifted his eyes to hers.

Clara did not look away.

Then she gently took her father's wrist and guided his hand to her shoulder.

"Here."

Her father touched her deltoid.

Clara contracted her shoulder.

The muscle rose under his hand, round, hard, powerful.

Her father took half a step back, as if that simple movement had reminded him that the person standing before him was no longer only the daughter he had watched leave the house that morning.

There was something new there.

Something growing.

Something he did not know how to control.

Clara understood.

And the realization passed through her like an electric charge.

Then she grabbed the edge of the living room coffee table with one hand.

Matteo barely had time to say, "Hey, wait—"

Clara lifted the table.

She did not drag it. She did not tilt it with effort.

She lifted it.

With one hand.

She held it suspended for a few seconds, her arm extended, her bicep and shoulder swollen with real strength. The wood creaked slightly beneath her grip. Clara looked at it, then looked at them.

"Do you even understand what I'm becoming?" she said, this time out loud.

Matteo took half a step back.

Her father said nothing.

Clara set the table down gently, almost as if the gentleness were the most impressive part.

Then she turned back toward the mirror.

She stood sideways.

She flexed her leg.

Her quadricep contracted beneath the suit, big, hard, carved with deep lines. Her calf followed the movement, full and powerful. Clara lowered one hand and touched it, pressing with her fingers, then let her nails slide along the curve of her thigh, following the muscle down toward her knee.

Solid.

Hers.

Real.

She slowly massaged her quadricep with both hands, as if she wanted to learn its shape. Then she tightened her leg again, watching the muscle tense beneath her palms.

She laughed.

Not a nervous laugh this time.

A full, happy, disbelieving laugh.

"It isn't going away," she said. "It's not some temporary effect. It stays."

Matteo swallowed.

"How do you know?"

Clara looked at him.

Then she clenched both fists at her sides.

Her whole body seemed to ignite: arms, shoulders, chest, abdomen, legs. Every muscle contracted in a silent, brutal display. The veins on her forearms became more visible. Her neck tightened. Her back widened her posture.

There was no need to answer right away.

The answer was there.

In front of them.

Matteo looked down at his own thin arms, then back at Clara's.

The comparison lasted less than a second.

But Clara saw it.

And something inside her swelled again, not in her muscles this time, but in her pride.

She approached her brother slowly.

He stayed still, but his shoulders stiffened.

Clara passed beside him and placed one hand on the back of the couch. Her grip made the inner wood creak.

"Relax," she said with a smile. "I won't break anything."

Then she looked at the couch back.

"Unless I want to."

Matteo did not laugh.

Her father inhaled slowly.

"Clara, we need to understand what's happening."

She nodded, but she did not seem truly worried.

She walked to the larger mirror in the hallway, the one she and Matteo had used when they were children to measure their height. She stood in front of it and looked at herself from head to toe.

The reflection gave back an impossible figure.

Powerful.

Dominant without needing to say a word.

Clara raised her arms once more, more slowly this time, enjoying every second of the movement. Her biceps swelled. Her triceps sharpened. Her forearms showed thick, living, real veins. She tightened her chest, then her abs, then her legs.

Every muscle responded.

Perfectly.

As if it were only waiting for her command.

She ran her hands over herself again, from her shoulders to her arms, then over her abs and down along her sides, massaging her muscles as if they were living armor. Her nails moved over the suit, slow and precise, and every time Clara flexed, the lines of her body became more defined.

Her father and brother stood behind her, reflected in the same mirror. They looked smaller, more motionless, almost out of place in their own home.

Clara noticed the difference.

She said nothing.

She did not need to.

She raised one arm and bent her elbow, making her bicep rise again.

"Look carefully," she said. "Because tomorrow I might be even stronger."

Matteo held his breath.

Her father lowered his gaze slightly.

Clara noticed.

She simply straightened her back, widened her shoulders, and looked at herself with a smile she had never had before.

"It suits me," she said.

Matteo spoke in a low voice.

"The suit?"

Clara looked at her reflection.

Then she flexed again, bringing out every line in her arm.

"No."

Her smile deepened.

"Me."
