I'm a numbers guy and one thing I've found frustrating is locating body statistics for the female body builders. it's sporadic at best. You can find the height and weight for most but getting the chest, waist, hip measurements is a real challenge, even more so for the competitors of the early eighties. Is there any websites that lists the statistics for the older, newer and current female bodybuilders.

You're not wrong—detailed stats for female bodybuilders are surprisingly hard to find, especially compared to the men.

A few reasons why:

• They were never consistently tracked (especially in the 80s/early 90s)
• Magazine profiles would sometimes list measurements—but not always, and not standardized
• Contest shape vs off-season shape = very different numbers, so even when listed, they weren't always reliable

Best places to check:

• Saradas archive (here) → honestly one of the better sources, especially older profiles and magazine scans
• Old Flex / Muscle & Fitness / Women's Physique World scans → sometimes include full stats (bust/waist/hips, arms, etc.)
• You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login athlete profiles → more for modern competitors, but usually limited to height/weight
• Wikipedia / random fan sites → hit or miss, but occasionally useful for basics

For 80s competitors specifically:
Your best bet is:
→ old contest reports
→ magazine features
→ rare profile scans

That's where you'll sometimes find full measurements like:

• Bust / waist / hips
• Arm size
• Thigh size

But even then, it's inconsistent and scattered.

One thing to keep in mind:
A lot of those older "stats" were:

• Self-reported
• Rounded or promotional
• Taken at different points in prep

So even when you find them, they're not always apples-to-apples comparisons.

If you're a numbers guy, the best approach is honestly:
→ build your own reference list from multiple sources
→ cross-check when possible

It's a bit of a rabbit hole—but kind of a fun one if you're into the history.

If you've got a few specific athletes in mind, people here can probably help dig up some of the harder-to-find stats.

Thanks Zenzen for the advice and the list of references. I do have my own spread sheet that is a work in process. I will definately take a look at the references you provided.

Andy's Muscle Goddess does have some statistics on their athlete profiles. Then there is FTvideo does the same. The problem is that it has athletes starting from the late 90s to 2000s. The ones from the 1970s and 1980s you would have to go to another source.

I also noticed on Wikipedia it does have some stats related to female bodybuilders. This can be found on athlete's biographical entries.
