More then any other time, it's a sessioniate market as there just doesn't seem to be as many quality providers then there was 15 years ago as I felt us schmoes had more quality ladies to chose from therefore it seemed to keep the average price down more then it is today.

Correct, if meeting a pro is your thing you now have fewer options thanks to cam, which in turn makes actually getting to meet one more valuable to you. The point is for a producer to make supply (time spent) meet 'their' ideal level of demand (dollars earned), not yours.

Oh very odd. I was very direct in my ask to her about the type of session I wanted and received a quote accordingly. She (or her handler) even seemed willing to come down from her original asking price after I initially scoffed. A few things came up, so I couldn't swing it. Always worth a shot to ask.

Most sessioniates charge a reasonable fee IMHO though most of the ones I see I am a long term client so often they give me a break especially since they know I tip well so it evens out.
