There's a disconnect here on the part of the service provider. What sort of a business is she trying to run? You can't ask for a deposit without a confirmed schedule and location. What is the deposit supposed to be for? The process of scheduling?

Yeah the last part of the appointment process is her deposit. If she won't commit to time/place/basic parameters etc then no deposit should he made. Very minor details can perhaps wait like what specifically she will wear but that is about it.

I'm not sure most of this is right? She does send you to her form, but as far as I know she will answer very direct questions about booking (time/location) over email. It's possible she has gotten very restrictive about the work thing, but she was not when she started a few years ago.

I am very affirmative. She now asks ID and you have to fill form and send deposit with no possibility of direct questions by e.mail before booking.

Then get ready for blackmail with your family.

I'm glad somebody finally brought this up in the thread because I've been encountering this more and more. I'm going quote below an example of what was asked by the last person I reached out too.

Now I know obviously there are some people who do this because they have been burned, physically assaulted or had to deal with crazy people but simple verification or checking reviews by others should be sufficient in today's day and I guess isn't.  Ive had sessions where I've walked in the door everything seemed OK and the provider asked me to pull up my junk in front of her as proof that I'm not a cop 👮 I imagine. 
Speaking to a session friends of mine, they told me that there are websites that providers use that log in phone numbers or email addresses of people that were red flagged and that they could check to verify if this person has seen someone else and there was an issue. 
Problem is it's pretty easy to get a new phone number or use a different email address. And the whole personal  reference system is not the same with everyone.

Blackmail is illegal so any sessionaite who would try it is risky time in the pokey plus at bare minimum a shattered reputation that will ruin any future business. But I agree this type of background check would make me nervous.

To me, both are privacies in a session are right up there with safety in terms of importance. A few sessioniates have allowed me to know about them beyond their public persona but I never have and never will pry. And for their part, all have respected my privacy as well.

To me, the old system of references among sessioniates as always worked the best.  I guess I got lucky in that regard as I started in the summer of 1999 and was fortunate enough that the first sessioniates i was with gave me a excellent reference to the next set and it just built from there. Or they simply didn't ask for one.

I guess the sessioniates have to be extra careful including guys getting too rough. We lost a couple sessionaires over the years due to that.
