I once drove to London (nearly 4hrs) for a 90 minute session.  That was about ten years ago.  My interest in sessions isn't what it was years ago so these days, I won't travel more than 1hr.  I did make an exception last autumn to see Vladi which was about a 2hr drive and a night in a hotel.  I only did that because IMO she's at an elite level and I suspected that she wouldn't be doing them much longer.  12 months on I can't see her doing anymore sessions as she's now sort of famous and I'm guessing making five figures a month plus from OF.

If we are talking only local and not flying to meet someone for a session I would say I've driven 6-7 hours one way to meet someone for a session.

I think it doesn't matter. For me I travel farther by plane then drive for a session but I never really travel exclusively for a session. Either I was traveling for work or was traveling for vacation and simply work them in.

I was lucky at the height of my session career. Top session ladies traveled to my city, where I lived and worked. If I sessioned on the weekend it was easy to get around the city or suburbs, especially in the morning I remember going to the suburbs to see a favorite and it was a three-hour round trip for an hour session. That would be my limit.

I also traveled a lot in my career - Vegas and California - and was able to fit in an occasional session into my schedule without having to spend my own cash for flights or hotels. As I said earlier, I was lucky... very lucky.

I forgot one last frustrating point, at least for me. I had several conventions in Orlando but - after much consideration - I could never drive to one of the great cities with female bodybuilders/wrestlers, Tampa/St. Pete. I should have MADE the time.

One of my first sessions was to fly from Glasgow to London to meet Sheila Burgess. Looking back now I think, what was I doing 🤨 , but at the time, no girls ever came to Scotland so I knew my only choice was to travel. Long day, but Sheila was absolutely fantastic. 👌

Sheila certainly was worth it. What a woman! one of the all-time-greatest to me.

Coming to think of it, I actually flew from Amsterdam to Switzerland when I met her for the first time. It wasn't a trip exclusively for meeting her, but it surely made the trip extra great!
