I agree with Kek and Facelessman about ignoring what you don't like. This is a site for the unusual so there's going to be a lot of stuff that won't appeal to all of us. I don't like stories about incredibly violent women or FMG to inhuman proportions or stories involving steroids. I just ignore them and hope someone posts something more to my taste (or sometimes write it myself).

For those who'd like to see more of a certain type of story but don't feel they can write it themselves, I'd suggest PMing the author of someone who writes what you like and offering them a commission. I'm pretty sure there are a number of writers who'd be more than happy to write what you want for a quite reasonable page rate (maybe we should have a thread for authors seeking commissions or those who want to offer a commission for a certain type of story).

But you also have to keep the meaning and messaging behind the types of characters you chose to write in mind, too.

For example, take Superlurker's Little Miss Massive. It's decently written, with a clear focus on characters getting big at the start. But once it stopped caring about dynamics and what the characters represented in the story, and instead focused solely on the gratification angle of the story, it devolved into just a series of sex scenes involving animal people with exaggerated body types having sex as "the next wave of humanity". Just mountains of flesh with no personalities beyond "get bigger, must fuck".

Contrast that with bertmacklinsbrother's Conquering Vinland. A solid story about a character's struggles to gain respect and power, having to earn the favor of the Aesir through various trials, with the culturally valued prize of strength as her reward. It's an incredibly focused tale, remembering its core values and what the central meanings and messages of its protagonist, Freydis Eiriksdottir, represents. Relationships are not just based around the surface conceptualization of power dynamics. It's an ever shifting tide of bodies in water, which I think is a far more interesting idea for that type of story.

Going back to my story, titled "Your House", I'm using the inherent issues of familial themes in our shared niche of fetish with the dynamics of Desmond, his sister Desiree and his mother Laura, as a fulcrum for the inherently unnatural situation he is now in (because Incestuous stories, while quite common in fetishistic material, is still a very taboo and unnatural situation). The story is, at its core, a rather overwrought Speculative Sci Fi Horror story inspired by the pulp paperbacks of the 60's and 70's discussing the distinctive presence (or lack thereof in regards to actual feminine interpretations of our fetish) of Feminine Power and its presentation. Because we have to be completely honest here, there is a distinctly masculine overflow when it comes to female muscle stories.

While I wish it was really all about the idea of relationship and power dynamics (something I actually cover quite often in my stuff, like in Blockbuster and The Sandow Family), you'll more often find it's about the perverse nature of the situation that writers will use relationship and power dynamics to allow themselves, and thus readers, a safe avenue to explore. It's okay to admit it.

Also, to each their own. I'm not gonna tell you what is or isn't to be written. "You do you, boo" and all that. Just don't write something and expect everyone to want to read it. Cause everyone's got content limits (I actually don't like incest stuff myself, it's just there as a plot point in Your House for the extremely eagle eyed reader because there are actual clues as to what's going on if you pay very close attention to the social cues the characters are conveying).

I apologize that I was coming off as heavily opinionated against your stuff. Like I pointed out earlier, you're a good writer. But that sort of push with the complaints of others shows they didn't trust you to write the story your way. You got skill, and I would like to read a story you wrote for yourself, first. If they complain, then let'em complain. You deserve to be catered to, as well. Even if you're the one handling it.

Lately I've really been thinking about gender, sex, roles in relationships, etc. Sure, there are the classic role reversal stories and they can explore some great territory. What if there were a much more in-depth and maybe even nuanced story about gender and sex being explored on both a very personal and relationship level between two people who started out believing that they were a cis man and cis woman in a very loving and committed relationship. The man reveals his love of muscular, powerful women and the woman begins lifting and building muscle. As she does they both begin deeply exploring their gender and sex. Instead of a classic domination story they actually become closer and more loving both physically and emotionally in their relationship as the man explores his femininity and the woman explores her masculinity both personally and within the context of their relationship. There could be different variations of outcome... full on gender and sex reversal or somewhere in between. Possibly even include futa. The overall arc of the story though is as she becomes bigger and stronger it puts them both on a trajectory of exploring this journey together and in the end strengthening every aspect of their relationship in a very loving way.

So to put it into a short summary, what if as she becomes more muscular and powerful, their relationship completely transcends gender and sex and they become closer and more loving as a result.

I think there are a couple El_Roy_1999 stories that tackle that to a lesser degree. Same with bertmacklinsbrother story "My Wife Jennifer". What you might be looking for is actually strictly categorized as Gender Transformation if we're talking about complete switching of characters' sexes, presumably under the FtM (Female to Male)/FtFu (Female to Futa) tags, which has those sorts of themes as a very predominant structure, specifically in terms of power dynamics. In all honesty, I think you might find the most satisfaction out of Interactive Story sites like CHYOA dot com (I think the story Size Matters, which ties into the original topic, has several branches that cover this sort of thing, at least in terms of muscles and futa content but be aware that story DOES dive in gay content too).

Personally, I like the fact that there are various stories (or types of story) available here that aren't the sort of thing that I would write myself.

Even if I don't love a story or the specific kinks or fetishes therein, I often still appreciate - or even admire - how the author goes about writing it.

And sometimes, just sometimes, there's that magical story that on the face of it looks like something that I just won't like at all, but then I start reading it, and I get sucked in, and I look forward to the next instalment, and I become impatient waiting for the the next instalment after that, and it becomes a favourite that I go back to and read again and again. Those can be the best stories of all.
