have been traveled around korea, taiwan and china lot.  FBB/fitness women's physique is far more acceptable in korea than it is in China and Taiwan, especially China, women with muscle are often viewed as abomination in majority cities in China, male just don't know how to deal with them or how to define them.  though women China has most naturally gifted physique. tall on average, large frame, big and shapy legs(even without exercise)  the only problem is, most of them spend most their lives think about how to be smaller.  please refer to that calf reduction surgery thread of mine.

The average European/American white woman is about 5'6". The average Chinese woman is about 5'2". That means that Chinese woman are not "tall on average" as you claim, they are actually just the opposite - they are short on average. I won't even get in to your description of Chinese woman as large framed with big and shapely legs. I think most people would describe them as scrawny with no ass.

i'm a chinese guy, and the answer is really simple, there is absolutely no market for the female bodybuilding in mainand china.

even for the male bodybuilding guys, they are struggling for their passion for this sports.

the gym market is not good either.

it has something to do with the traditional culture and history.

That's sad to hear China's view on fitness and physique. I thought Bruce Lee spending time and work on keeping his body fit would inspire and gravitate China toward fitness.

I don't know why you all took dragon's words seriously. lived in Taiwan for a decade and travel to asia(especially China) at least 3 times a year.  Here's a more accurate picture, do Chinese still have such prejudice on female bodybuilders? yes, but not as much as you may think, Chinese Fbbs are all natural so their mass usually aren't so visible when putting on cloth, also people's opinion varies from City to city, most of them don't understand the concept of having big muscles on female body, just like the rest of the europe and America, but America is far more open minded than any counties out there.   however, people in China still regard male FBB or men with muscular/toned body as the ultimate aesthetic symbol,  for example, their pop stars, character arts in movies and games etc. 


It's just a different beauty standard. like us saraders.

Most Chinese girls don't like to exercise because they have common misconception that they will become muscle girls.  They don't know it takes a lot of hard work and the right nutrition to achieve a fit body.  With that said, Chinese culture tends to like their women feminine.  As stated above, this varies from city to city.  Big cities like Shanghai and Beijing are more open minded to bodybuilding.

To each his own, I find east asian women way more attractive than women from other ethnicity, curve is not about one large portion of the bod but the loveliest distance between 2 points and I found asian had the best assets

As a matter of fact, most western and black women are overweight, those who manage to look half decent are under extreme high maintenance, even then they can't get over some genetic factor such as manly voice, massive body hair, chicken legs, wrinkly and disease sensitive skin.  if those qualities make a woman "feminine" than I don't know what makes a man "masculine" sorry if it sound offensive to anyone but it's my honest opinion
