Kris Murrell brought a powerful, athletic look to Women's Physique.

- Conditioning
- Presence

Where does she rank in the Women's Physique division all-time?

Does she hold up against today's competitors?

Kris Murrell is a really interesting case because she kind of sits at the intersection of eras for Women's Physique.

At her best, she absolutely brought one of the most physically strong, dense looks the division has seen:

• Density → borderline bodybuilding-level in some shots
• Conditioning → consistently sharp without looking flat
• Presence → very commanding, especially in mandatory poses

She didn't just look athletic—she looked powerful, which not everyone in WPD can pull off without losing shape.

All-time ranking?
She's not in that Mount Rushmore tier (Dana Linn Bailey, Juliana Malacarne, etc.), but she's comfortably in that next group down—the athletes who could win on the right day and always made lineups tougher.

Where it gets interesting is how she stacks up today:

• Modern WPD tends to favor a slightly softer, more flowing look
• Kris at her peak might be seen as a touch too dense/hard by current standards
• But structurally and condition-wise, she absolutely still holds up

So:

• Strength/density → near the top all-time for WPD
• All-time placement → strong second tier contender
• In today's division → still competitive, but might need slight refinement to match current judging trends

She's one of those competitors who maybe didn't define the division—but definitely pushed its upper limits in terms of muscle and presence.

Curious if others think her look would be rewarded more or less in today's Olympia lineups.

Kris was a great physique model. She would also, make an avid bikini or figure competitor as well. Kris has well formed  structure. Great muscle definition, size , strength, pretty face, proportion, and a pleasing personality. Her smile just illustrates her enjoyment of the sport. Too Bad she wasn't able to compete longer. I can not find a picture of her when she competed in the 2009 NPC Natioanals. This particular picture was taken ina naturally lighted formal carpeted hotel or formal lobby.
