What do people here think about the new show of MOTU Revelation ? My feelings are mixed about it. However, I am hopeful that it will improve. I'm  willing to watch part 2.

I watched all five episodes and I thought it was okay. Since I'm not a uber fan of the original show, so I didn't feel as betrayed and angry as the other MOTU fans. The animation is superior to the 80's show, the voice acting is not bad and it was nice to see scareglow make his appearance. However, there are some things I dislike about this show. First off Teela's new look and demeanor. Look I think that Teela is and always will be a strong character. I don't have a problem with her having a more muscular look, but I do hate her new haircut. It is supposed to show that "she's a strong independent woman who don't need no man"? For the record, I love strong women physically AND emotionally, but for cripes sake you don't have to make her into an abrasive bitch with a chip on her shoulder to prove it. Also her hatred for magic is forced and stupid in my opinion. I believe that this show wants to honor the style and characters of the original show, but nowadays it does feel like everything in media has to have some "current year" politics in to it. I also want to watch part 2 and I hope they actually give he-man and skeletor more screen time and that we get to see more of the masters of the universe like stratos, ram-man etc.

The haircut seem more sci-fi than fantasy based. It does not work for Teela. The anger she has will probably subside as she realizes how much Adam means to her. The hate for magic will also change I predict. When she learns more about her mother then she will embrace it. Skeletor will be getting a good chunk of screen time. There were elements I did not like. Teela was out of character and Orko is gone. Who knows that could change with more episodes.

I think it  is possible that part 2 will be longer. I really hope the series lasts for a good number of episodes. The original was only 130. The 2002 series was less than that.

Just to let you all know that Master of The Universe Revelation part 2 is coming out November 3rd. He-Man is not dead either. Looking at the poster art apparently he got some power from  another source of magic. This version of the character will be Savage He-Man. I'm hoping this gets more seasons. Also maybe Teela will get rid of that awful Karen haircut. My guess is that she will be the next sorceress. I'm going to add more images of Teela here and other buff women in the series.

It's a shame that female characters never get that much attention on muscles as male ones

That is changing. I notice more cartoonists and animators are willing to put the muscular body type on female characters. The process is slow and there are going to be reactions .I remember how some were reacting to Teela's design. The haircut I can see why people do not like it. However, the complaints about her being muscular are just so ludicrous.

I wish they made Peggy Carter more muscular, but. I guess small steps first
