There are several gyms moving their business outside though they are just cardio equipment and or dance classes not weights.

Since Gold's Gym has filed for Bankruptcy. I will not be surprised if Powerhouse and a few other gym chains follow suit.

It is too bad some gym chains are closing. That is horrible on multiple levels. That will just add to the unemployment numbers. Everything is just generally horrible. I just hate to think what the world will be like a decade from now.

There probably be some more bad news throughout the year, but things should get better soon.

things quite bad also thorough europe (except for some countries such as sweden,spain....)

no opening  date targeted as for now (as panicing rampant  of "mutations" by poiticians........)

lucky to have gotten a pair of  "bowflex" dumbells  just at beginning of 2nd lockdown.....and glad to have a multi-power station based on cable
(-never used in years  before........................)

doesn`t give same rush as training in gym ,but at least a chance  to train at least ...
....ordered also a rack ,a barbell with vaious discs ,but waiting now for over 3 months ......markets empty-handed ,and delivery chains
    (mostly by ship)  disturbance

hoping for  starting up vaccinations (situation poorer then in US,because order too late, payed less for doses...so will take time,,?!)

and for warmer weather ,infection rates will decline then(as also for the  flu") , as also happened last year....!!?

so before easter(april) ,or even later ,so at pentecost(mai)  see no chance  gyms to be reopened

so look with a bit of envy and sadness, pictures and clips of training  FBB in open gyms in the US, brazil, and elsowhere in the americas...!

there are mutations, there is no need to put it in quotes (or bowflex?).

warm weather won't kill it. we get 45-50C in the summer in some places in the US, and those places still had explosions in cases last summer. although if it's hot enough that humans can't survive, the virus also won't survive.

vaccination will be a long process. if you're not in a privileged nation, maybe next year.

The pandemic has been really horrible for anyone. I hope we could gain some stability.

Well the vaccines are out now and we got plenty of masks and hand sanitizers to go around. hopefully by the end of this year or by 2022, everything gets back to normal.

There is no getting *back* to normal. There will be a new normal. This may seem pedantic, but a lot of people seem to romanticize the idea of returning to 2019. Travel and gyms will still be a thing, but some changes will be here to stay (possible examples: home gyms, WFH, moving out of the cities, airline miles getting devalued and other ways of jacking up travel costs, small businesses going under, big businesses getting bigger, all of which could have lasting impacts on session availability/prices), other things will go back to before.

there IS a relation between season and rates of infections (in my ,and some virologists opinion?!)
but only in nothern regions : (so as it was last year in northern europe )....?!:sharp decline in april /sharp uprising in october

not so seasonal in southern europe /souther states in the US and,not to forget brazil:

 what could be the resson?:

- lesser adaptation/"experience" of the immun system of people in warmer regions with this class of viruses (flu, cold viruses)

- widespread air conditioning in summer( contrast cool inside rooms-hot outside) : is worse then winter contrast (warm inside-cold outside)
and US air condition is VERY cool inside !
( got most severe infections when travelling in hot countries ,due to air condition) - also ,air condition tubes areoften full of filth
       ,dust(and so full   of bacteria/virus...!!)
that´s only my theory ,and reallyhope it will get better from spring on -it`s the only hope as for now (as concerns the situation in europe)

since governments (in europe)are getting stricter and more radical all the time: hospitalisation and fatality rates are dropping ,but
not much hope for reopenings ,since "positive infection rates " are rising again (despite mostly no symptms )
testing rates just were massive increased,so you find more infections ,so more resson for another lockdown ..!?

                        - vaccinatiaton campaign is ruling out sluggish ,will take a long time /despite vularable groups are yet mostly vaccinated
but governments request  total vaccination of the population "before normal life can restart"??!....(can take another year
                          from now on...!)

and media panicking about several ,as they call it "mutants"(is an expression from Sci-fi/horror genre ,
should be spelled  "mutations"..make more fear in population )
from england ,south africa ,brazil, every few weeks another new stuff
(mutations are natural in this dynamic : ,mostly getting more infectious ,but less falal: virus doesn`t want to kill his
host,  -prefers  to get transmitted by aliving host to another......

perhaps this is only pretext to fulfill the agenda of the WEF by Klaus Schwab :
first crash the old system ,to rebuild it then
                                                   - digital&  oecological, ruled by oligarchs as bill gates, bezos , george soros and so on , on the top
                                                   - no more middle class/ruined by the measures against corona
                                                  -  normal people are then financed by the state with unconditional basic income, living quite poor,
so a typ of digital-oeco-socialism/communism on the base -totaly digitally monitored:

if you want to know more: google "The great reset"

but I not sure if it`s really a conspiracy, perhaps only wordwide hysteria ,I don`t really know .I hope it`s not
we´ll see what future brings ....?!

-seems, situation in the US is better,am I right? ; vaccination campaign is rolling out quick, falling infection rates despite less
restictions/no more  lockdowns, even gyms mostly open (altough compulsory mask-wearing)
                                                            - when I see pictures from there,I m a bit envious.....here gyms closed again since november ..!!

Sure, everything is correlated, nothing is truly independent. That doesn't mean heat kills the virus. Correlation != causation. In the hottest major city in the US, they had massive spiking in the summer. The only thing that slowed it down was the cities putting in local mask requirements.

They use the word mutation. Please link to articles where they say "mutants."

The US pretty much never had lockdowns. Your conspiracy theories are not new. The erosion of the middle class was not caused by this crisis, and will continue long after this crisis.

Relax. The vaccines have been pretty effective, even against the new strains. Getting them distributed is another monster. If you live in the US or western Europe, you'll probably be okay this year. If you live in a poor country, maybe next year, maybe 2023.

Bill Gates plans to donate most of his wealth btw.
