Its a shame she will never be back displaying the kind of mass we all loved, but she has had health issues and so I can understand why she has decided against juicing to the levels required to compete in bodybuilding. She clearly loves the sport and the lifestyle of bodybuilding but has probably made a sensible decision.

I think sometimes people underestimate just how much potential damage, both mentally and physiologically the drugs required to get to the size of pro level bodybuilders require! I hear many stories of massive pro level women that have serious health issues that get brushed under the carpet or simply not talked about. One girl I have talked to had her testosterone levels in the 1000s which cannot be good! I suspect that this is the norm for a lot of girls though :)

Test level in the thousands?! Jesus. That is high enough to cause serious health issues in men.

WHAT?!?!?!?!? FIGURE?!?!? Not even Physique?!?!?! It's a sad day when you hear news like that. Anyway, if the pics we have been seeing are any indication, I think she is "too big" (sigh) for Figure.

I think what we all need to realise is that sometime some women we admire cannot get 'big' without significant chemical assistance, and that can and does have a significant effect on many, leading to them quitting the sport after only a few years or at least scaling back their physique so that they don't need to take so much (if any) of the strong PEDs, which are mainly designed for use by male BBers.  One thing I often see is the stark contrast between the woman before she started training and today (when in full-on beast FBB mode): some of our favourite women were, to all intents and purposes, waifs or at least slim before starting training, and its just not natural to go from a 30in chest, narrow shoulders and skinny arms to a huge 45in+ chest (not including breast implants) and 17in biceps.

Its those women who were already athletic and at least reasonably well-built before hand (the swimmers, sprinters, soccer players, etc) who should be those who are best suited to become the larger FBBs, without the need to heavily juice.  Rene's situation is, as others have said, not uncommon, especially these days when FBBing is even less attractive over a 'career' of 20+ years (as was the case in the late 80s - mid 2000s) as there less financial incentives and higher costs than before, so some women appear to take big risks by seriously upping the dosages and strength of PEDs they take to get 'big' quick so they can get to the top/win something before they effectively bankrupt themselves as well as ruin their health/looks.  More often than not it doesn't work out, as most aren't genetically gifted enough to get to the highest levels without the major side effects that quickly follows.  A shame, but that's life.

I agree. I think her placing is going to suffer greatly because of her size.

Because schmoes get butthurt when FBBs downsize. They take it personally.
Definitely agree with both of you. They aren't objects in a fantasy. Schmoes are lunatics who see only the women as objects first and human beings second. They tried bb, did it, then move on. Best way to be in life if you tire of it. Cheers gentlemen.

In my opinion, she still looks amazing! She says she loves this new size, and she felt less nervous on stage and loved walking in heels! Best of luck to her!

Here she is at this weekend's 2016 Dayana Cadeau Classic.  She didn't place as well here in figure as she did in FBB.  She needs more time to downsize if figure is what she wants vs. physique.
