Raquel, "petite"...LOL Well, it depends on how big you are. Raquel Huggins is a lot bigger than most figure competitors. I think she's around 5'8" - 5'9" and weighs around 160 lbs. She's a pretty big girl for a figure competitor and yes, she is insanely strong. Her energy level is through the roof. She call herself the "Energizer Bunny". I spoke to her many times several years back, but lost contact. She's a very sweet person.
Anyway, I once read on a forum, maybe Bodybuilding.com or FTVideo that Alexis Ellis was the "Strongest fitness competitor" during her competition days. In fact, some guy wanted to put up money in challenging any female competitor in a squat contest against Alexis. He claimed that she was capable of squatting over 500+ lbs with no belt or assistance. I'm not too sure how accurate that was, but I remember, GeneX adding to that guys claims and stating that Alexis was a lot stronger than she appeared.
Also, sometime during the 90's, I either read in a magazine or heard someone say that Debbie Kruck could lift an entire refrigerator on her own and carry it on her back and perform squats. I'm really not that sure if it was an exaggerated statement due to how strong she was or if it was fact.
Newcomer Tanya Kim is pretty strong as well. She told me (via chat) that she knocked a man out. Supposedly they got into an argument at some venue and he attacked her, pushed her to the floor and called her a b!+(%. She said she just reacted out of anger and "knocked his ass out" with a single punch to the jaw. As far as size goes, that girl is BIG! She laughs everytime I call her Amazon or Kim "Bo" Slice.
