"Name a Champion Who Should NOT Have Won"

Let's go straight at it.

Pick a Ms. Olympia or major show winner and say it clearly:

They should not have won.

- Who should have won instead?
- What did the judges get wrong?

Photos encouraged — back your argument.

I'll go with one that still gets debated:

1994 Ms. Olympia – Cory Everson vs. Lenda Murray

I know Cory is a legend, but by '94:

  • She was past her absolute peak
  • Still great shape, but not the same dominance

Lenda, on the other hand:

• Better flow and structure
• More complete top-to-bottom
• Looked like the future of the sport standing next to Cory

To my eye, Lenda just had the stronger overall package that day.

What the judges got "wrong":

• Leaned toward established legacy instead of the best physique on stage
• Possibly rewarded Cory's presentation and reputation over actual comparison

And to be fair, this was a turning point:
→ Lenda did go on to dominate right after
→ Which kind of reinforces the idea that the shift was already happening

So:

• Winner (official): Cory Everson
• Who I'd pick: Lenda Murray
• Why: More complete, more current, and ultimately the direction the sport went anyway

This is one of those cases where history almost "corrected itself" the very next year.

Curious what others pick—there are definitely a few controversial ones once you dig into the 90s and early 2000s.
