So if you read the previous chapter, you'll notice some mysterious yellow beings in both these two stories. Those were supposed to be the main villains of the story, these multiversal threat, creators, destroyers, prime provocateurs of every single catastrophe in existence... The hand that moves the puppets, the wheels of fate.... The Omega Point mentioned at the end was supposed to be the "Justice League" of this universe, a group of "heroes" and survivors of the different multiverses, that managed to exist out of the confines of existence (read about the Omega Point) and fight against the builders and creators of existence itself.

******************

Time frozen. Every single molecule in absolute stillness. The world an ever reaching landscape of ice and snow, stretching for all eternity, or it would be if it weren't for her...

Frigida Icebreaker was the youngest & last daughter of her people. Nobody could acknowledge this for her, no one could communicate anything to her. That was, because her entire race was frozen, appearing perpetually motionless. There was no one to argue with, no moments of mirth, only an emptiness and silence that pervaded the entire area. Frigida could tell she was different, she was able to see her people, everyone with outcroppings of ice surrounding them. No response from them. At moments she would rest her head on her mother's lap, and pretend she was having a conversation, rather than the nothingness and coolness she always received.

Being for all intents and purposes in alone in the world, there was only a thing Frigida could do: explore. However, no matter how she traveled, all she saw was ice and snow, the same monotonous panorama, for as far as she could see. No matter how much she traveled, how many mountains she scaled, or chasms she descended, there was nothing but ice. Cold, uncaring ice. She'd often catch herself and marvel at her own reflection. How come she was so different? She'd touch her face, testing the contours, and even in her own body, she'd notice the coolness of ice. Even within her, the same solitary caress was always present.

Having being on the road for what must have been a decade, if time even bothered to move or existed, she decided to travel back home. However, where was home? For as much as she had journeyed, she had become lost. Everything, everywhere looked the same. In despair, she restlessly begun punching the ground, shouting at the heavens, cursing to no one for her plight. There wasn't even an echo to argue with. Tired, Frigida closed her eyes and decided to let the coolness overcome her.

There was a bite in her arm, it felt heavier than before, Frigida tried to open her eyes, but this too was difficult. Feeling constricted and suffocated, Frigida begun to struggle, a crack could be heard as her muscles struggled against whatever was covering her. She sat uptight and noticed a blanket of ice covering her, a thick layer of ice had newly formed where she had previously rested. Scared Frigida jumped to her feet and her astonishment grew as a blast of ice propelled itself towards her, as if chasing her. It was still too slow for her, but unwittingly an icy outcropping had sprung by her foot tripping her.

Frigida blinked several times as a wall of ice moved to entomb her. 'Why do you resist?' she heard a voiceless voice, 'Don't you want to live?'

"Who are you?! Where are you!?" the girl shouted to nothing in particular, the icy white void around her, more glaringly obvious that usual.

'Stop fighting and your answers will be answered. Become one with Me', the voice reverberated in her head. An amorphous symphony, too potent to be ignored, sending shock-waves that rattled her brain and bringing her to her knees. The young girl gasped, clutching her head, realizing that whoever was talking to her was speaking directly into her thoughts...

As she lay there stunned, the walls begun to enclose around her. Gasping out-loud Frigida noticed the wall was right in front of her, mere inches away. From within the wall, a figure partially emerged, icy, raw, barely recognizable, until it slowly begun molting and Frigida saw herself, white as the ice around her, but her enough.

"Who are you?", the perplexed young girl asked, her hand trembling wanting to probe her other-self.

'I Am Erunuku, and Erunuku is All. Join Me', the frost-white doppelganger outstretched its arm meeting her reach, and instantly ice grew across her arm, encasing it, consuming her...

'Don't struggle. I am Everywhere. I am Everything. It is pointless to struggle'

The girl felt a swift caress from her cool prison, almost as if lulling her with comfort, to surrender. For a moment, Frigida close her eyes, and there she saw visions of her family, yet it wasn't her family. They were actually moving, a slow lethargic motion, but movement notwithstanding. In that moment, Frigida remembered the only thing that had accompanied her in her loneliness, she was alive, she was her own & somewhere she had family.

Frigida's muscles tensed as she struggled against a monumental constricting force, a massive glacier that had surrounded her, that had surrounded every tiny speck of empty space available. Exerting more force, gritting her teeth, Frigida's embittered battle intensified. Her muscles flexed crunching against the ice, as their owner vied for release.

Feeling her struggle, and feeling It's grasp escape Erunuku tried to compel her, reason, increase It's hold as cracks started to spread across It's perfectly uniform surface.

'Don't you want to be with your family? STOP struggling. Surrender yourself to Me!'

"Noooooooo....!" the girl shouted as she outstretched her arms and arched her back. In that moment, a chasm begun to form around her, a moving chasm that tried to mold and form itself around her, not wanting to release It's hold. Not giving up Frigida gave a primal roar and started punching the wall, tearing a huge chunk of it and flailed it like a weapon, shattering ice and sending smithereens flying all over the place. For a moment, the ice receded, as if experiencing pain. Soon enough, a massive tsunami of ice rose threatening to engulf her.

"Did you kill my family!?"

'No. They are part of Me. They returned to Me. It is the Only Way to Save Myself, to Save All', the voice spoke with a vibration that emitted a sense of fear. Fear for itself. However, Frigida was undeterred and she flung against the tsunami and begun fighting against her very own surroundings. No reckoning of how long it happened, but the assault was hectic. Frigida was tossed around like a rag-doll, but on the same token, mountain-sized chunks of ice flew around, smash and crumbled.

In a rare moment, Frigida who had also been enduring a mental assault noticed the fear intensified, and all grew silent... All grew calm, the tempest seemingly over. No time to muse what caused Erunuku to stop its assault. In that moment, out of instinct, Frigida begun to run the barren wasteland of surrounding ice, carving a pathway, a pathway home.

As she fought against the ice, Frigida for a second wondered if she did hear a feminine laughter drowning, Erunuku's tantrum, wondered if that laugh had anything to do with that Being's fear and slumber. That thought lasted a moment.

Fashioning herself a hammer out of the ice, Frigida carved a gorge that continued to expand. Soon enough a valley between surrounding glaciers was formed out of craggy icy peaks. Within the valley, Frigida found her people. The icy outcroppings that had surrounded them were now part of them, almost like a plate armor of ice. As usual, no response came from them. Yet, Frigida mused as she used to, how time with her family would be. She decided from that moment, to protect her people, and never leave them, again.

***

Respite. How long had it been? Monsters of ice lunged against her, Frigida smashing them with her body, her body tensing, her arm wielding her massive hammer like an extension of her arm. It seemed like an endless battle, fighting creatures of ice, and her environment, as holes begun to open below her feet, or missiles of ice burst against her flesh. She suffered no pain, no exhaustion, yet these relentless assault drove her to the edge. She had been safe-guarding her valley from these assaults for a long time. Frigida, however, noticed the desperation in Erunuku's mental voice. Almost pleading...

'Why do you fight? I want to Live, Don't you Want to Live?'

'I am Everything, you Are Part of Me. Return to Where you Came'

'This is the only way, Otherwise, All Will Be Lost'

This type of frenetic banter continued, meshed with animalistic growls, cries of anguish. Yet, Frigida did not cease her resistance. Hoisting tons and tons of ice around Frigida was equally relentless in her defense. Crunching those monsters of ice in her bare hands, smashing a dozen with her hammer, worming out of colliding walls that threatened to crush her.

Amidst all the fighting, that something that happened ago repeated itself, however, this time, it was clearly evident. A shrill laughter, a profound, rich voice pierced the air, with it, the ice begun to liquify, tremble, and go into turmoil. Even Frigida shook in one sensation she had never felt before: terror.

The voice taunted the spectacle before her, taunted the entity for being incapable of submitting a single individual to It's Will. In a last effort, Erunuk stopped fighting, and almost in a whisper, begun to converse with Frigida...

He fully revealed his plight. The universe was not like this before, it moved, it had change, things didn't remain perpetually stationary or frozen. He was Happy, because He was able to sustain Life. However, even in His early hours, Erunuku had noticed beings beyond His reach, and they terrified Him. Threatened Him. Those same beings visited Him regularly throughout many years, yellow beings of an impossibly bright light. That is when Erunuku grew to fear for It's own End. To stop the coming of this Eventuality, the sentient universe reached an only conclusion. To perpetuate itself, everything within it, would have to stop, and live forever. Maybe this way Erunuku would cheat death.

That is why for over a millennium entire star systems would stop in motion, no sound would travel, and eventually the entire cosmos was ravaged by a creeping ice threatened to engulf all of it. The ice, the result of time and space itself freezing over, a physical manifestation of the Universe's will. With relief, Erunuku believed he had succeeded, save for a single exception: the girl he had been trying to fight for years, Frigida Icebreaker.

On it's own sense of omniscience, Erunuku had unforeseen a single detail: that the very own life he sustained, would become sentient and fight for it's own state of being. The result, was that evolution had a jump start for billions of years. Thru parthenogenesis, all genetic material had accumulated into a single being, and be born. To counter a place where all stood motionless, this being had to move faster that the speed of light to evade any constrictions.

Now, feeling It's fate was sealed, Erunuku chose a single route of action. Use the girl as his vessel and try to escape.

Frigida stood motionless, as she was overwhelmed by the history she had been revealed. The realization that she was facing things far beyond her comprehension. At that crucial moment, tendrils of ice shot to grasp her. The young girl gasped in terror, as yellow beings descended from the heavens. The amusement on these beings was clear as well as their awe-inspiring might. The whole icy universe would recede as fast as It could to give way to the yellow assailants, all they while these aliens would marvel and at the happening, satisfied with the Universe's reaction to their coming. Around them, it was evident how reality started to fragment itself, laws of physics distorting themselves, a liminial existence as all sense of form and boundaries ceased to exist.

The bright beings descended upon the universe, flooding any empty space left behind with an eerie and blinding glow... Then they stopped. Their leader stood at the center, watching with amusement what was happening before Her eyes.

Frigida was effectively trapped, now even her strength was enough to escape this predicament, her mind alone was overwhelmed trying to assimilate the existence of the beings before her. Erunuku had receded faster and faster, away from the yellow malevolence. In a final attempt, it desperately stroke against Frigida, a tsunami of information, of power seeping itself into Frigida's gaping open mouth. The massive torrent never stopped, the girl squirmed, unable to even close her mouth as Erunuku had decided to integrate itself into her. Nobody could tell why the girl died at that point, perhaps it was the will to live, but their she stood baring the assault as an entire universe impregnated her with It's essence. She wanted to scream, the pain was unbearable, yet, all sound was drowned by a shrinking and disappearing universe.

The skies, the silence was pierced a chime, a harmonious chime with a dissonant tone, as the leader of the yellow aliens laughed, with her laugh existence begun to fragment like broken mirror and fall an awaiting nothingness. Her entourage was also amused. This was what they lived for, to create, mold existence, and reap the rewards of seeing their creation squirm at their hands, by their mere presence.

In a flash, a white blinding light stormed up towards the heaven's the Leader's eyes peeled, unfazed. The final act had begun. Once the light stopped there stood the convulsing form of Frigida, as she was trying to assimilate the last threads of what had happened, and fighting for her sanity, her own cohesion, as upon her now resided an endless. Then she glanced towards the heavens and locked glances with the sole being that filled her with the greatest terror. Cocking her head to the side, the Leader's amusement was evident. She squinted Her eyes, as if eying Her prey. At a blinding speed, she stood right by Frigida, in an instant shortening light years of distance that separated the two. The young girl spooked, and from her emanated a white light that pierced thru the barrier of time-space and disappeared.

What followed was a dance through nothingness and emerging universes, a whisk of bright light entering multiple iteration of existence, and ending them. Close by the Leader alone followed Her, mocking the Living Universe, as by trying to perpetuate Itself it was destroying many other realities its wake. With this act, Entropy was first created.

Within the girl, a battle for dominance ensued. Not even with It's Omnipresence encapsulated into a single girl, could Erunuku subdue the girl's identity that also vied for dominance of her own body.
Not even then would Frigida cede an inch, as her instability brought cataclysm to other realities, the Leader and Her people retreated to study the effects of this anomaly. Alone. Frigida blinked in and out into realities.

There is where Beyond Singularity found her. The gynoid had been replicating her stored data and trying to create a pocket dimension, when suddenly a massive influx of data accessed the place obliterating an otherwise stable attempt. Beyond Singularity could compute a single thing: a feeling of annoyance, ire. The collapsed pocket dimension was as close she had reached at a stable simulated pocket reality, a paradise for her creator. The data therein contained was salvaged and free of corruption, within Beyond Singularity's central processing core. However, being sentient, she still was capable of emotions. Her optical processing interface had been able to distinguish within the blinding light the form of a girl of a pale blue countenance. Immediately she followed in pursuit to study or terminate the object.

***

The speed by which they traveled reached impossible limits, not even the light would reflect off Beyond Singularity's platinized exoskeleton, analyzing the lifeforms she was chasing, the gynoid concluded that the being was out of control. In and out they phased out of the time-stream, into different realms. One thing was clear, Beyond Singularity needed to contain this entity, as it was risking countless of data she had yet to study and assimilate.

Matching the speed, Beyond was able to deflect the extra-dimensional comet into a super massive Black Hole, in there, the gynoid erected a enclosed time loop and stabilizing the time dilation between Frigida and the rest of reality. Slowly, the girl slowed down in speed. Having originally moving at faster than light, and then being free of the constriction of her own reality had caused her to be erratic and displaced throughout creation. Now, Frigida's body and molecular structure begun to pair itself to match the speed of her surroundings. What was left, was a traumatic broken girl, vessel of a cosmic entity of unimaginable power. However, the girl stood there blankly at the robot that had stopped her rampage. The sensation of the meld, driving her into a sense of detachment.

At that moment, as the enclosed loop begun to collapse, Beyond Singularity reached the conclusion, that this entity could serve the purpose of her Creator well. Also, there was only something the robot could compute upon looking at the broken girl before her: pity.

***

Years passed, Beyond Singularity continued her mission of preserving data and finding a means to escape the reality: Existence Was But Subject to the Whims of It's Creator. Each iteration she visited, she saw again the same resolution: her creator, an otherwise biologically immortal human die time and time, again, just as a universe would reach its end. Each time, leaving Beyond Singularity alone to carry on her will, to try fight the impossible odds of dealing with omnipotent beings, and break off the chain of destruction and recreation.

To transition to another universe Beyond Singularity would replicate itself, and phase into another system. Next to her, was Frigida, another being for whom time was no longer a concern. Being a singularity of her own, one of her kind, Frigida was unable to be duplicated, much less replicate herself as the countless of times her robot custodian did. Beyond Singularity had offered to assimilate Frigida and perpetuate her, this way she could also be replicated and preserved, but Frigida declined, afraid of losing her identity, losing herself, her ingrained need to survive still very much ever-present.

During this time, Frigida remained aloof as always, but had begun to socialize, not only with her companion and her creator, but with the different cultures they encountered throughout creation. Not even witnessing the birth of the stars, or the emergence of new lifeforms would draw an expression out of her young, and frozen face. Her own personality had emerged as dominant in the battle she waged with Erunuku, the Living Universe simply incapable of enslaving her to His will. However, certain features clearly of His begun to emerge. Frigida had an incalculable amount of physical strength and stamina, more than that, she couldn't only freeze her environment well into the realms of absolute zero, but she could freeze time and space itself to create constructs of ice.

At times, it was hard to maintain the stillness of her form, her own singular cohesion, as the trauma of her experience would at times compel her to diffuse and scatter. In time, she would learn to master this too. The Omega Point may depend on it for the upcoming battle...

As a bonus, here's an intro to another character (you'll notice a Red Power Ring, because... I came up with the idea when playing DCUO, writing up backstories for my character's I ended up branching out):

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crimson Deathmasque
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crimson Deathmasque has forgotten her identity, her old memories still hunt her, like a hot brand scorching her mind. Her tragedy, and how she was powerless at those key times, pushing her to nevermore feel that terrible feeling: be out of control. Being completely disillusioned with society's entrapment's, Crimson Deathmasque has trained herself almost like a machine, in all aspects. From corporate espionage, martial arts, deadly weapons, hacking, survivalist skills, surgery and medical knowledge, to mundane things as croche. She believes no knowledge is trivial, in fact considers anything she knows, as a tool to bring punishment to all the echelons of society. No one escapes her judgment, from government officials, corrupt businessmen, to regular petty crimes. Such is the crime, such is the punishment (amped up). News have littered the world with her exploits, corrupt businessmen found dead, suicide, criminals executed in the most gruesome of fashions. Never a trace be found. Batman found her once, tried to stop her, reason with her, but was unable to contain her. Now, even to him, she is lost. Scary thing, is that she could be right in your neighborhood, watching, tallying outrages you commit, waiting to punish you.

Having a knack to take the most vicious, and sinister of criminals to her lair, she has subjected these special types of people to cruel torture and manipulatation, trying to gimplse at vast criminal empires, or extremely complex and contrived corruption networks, to bring punishment and end them. Having caused so much pain, and fear on her marks, Crimson Deathmasque drew the attention of an extra-dimensional demoness, a demoness in the hunt for Sublime Paragon. This demoness used all the pent up feelings within Crimson Deathmasque's base to shift to our dimension. As a reward, she trapped Crimson Deathmasque on her own dimension, where our avenger experienced equal amount of torment.

This act, caused Crimson Deathmasque's blood boil, to such extreme, as she was furious, not so much at the pain she was suffering, but at herself, for feeling impotent, despite all she achieved. Her time in seclusion only served to make the embers of her memory burn brighter: her entire family brutally murdered, being sent to an orphanage, only to be sold like a child sex slave, thanks to the works of a seedy businessman with connections to high society. How, at that point in time, when she was about to be taken advantage of, she steal herself and swore to become the relentless angel of vengeance that she has become and killed her assailants. At that point of seething wrath, a Red Lantern Ring breached the interdimensional divide, that had been created, to join her. Crimson Deathmasque's resolute will being powerful enough to let her keep her identity, instead of falling into a berserker rage.
