I think that b&w image of Martinez was from the 1983 American where she was runner-up in the Lightweight division to Susan Roberts. I actually thought that Roberts and Dinah Anderson had more muscularity than overall winner Lori Bowen.

It comes from the 1983 Nationals indeed.
As far as Roberts and Anderson are concerned, may be were they considered as "too muscular" as compared to Lori Bowen?

Yeah well perhaps that's it. Pillow finished fifth and Lisa Elliot was fourth in the heavyweight division, which Bowen won. In an article I read in Flex on the event, the thinking was that if the judges were interested on awarding the muscular entransts it'd be Pillow for the heavyweight class,  Candis Caldwell for the middleweights, and Mae Mollica for the lightweight division.
