Looking at Anastasia Leonova now versus when she was competing is honestly kind of embarrassing for anyone still pretending hard work is what built that body. The difference is night and day. She spent her whole life training and dieting like a maniac, yet the second the heavy roids and everything else got pulled, the whole granite look just collapsed into this soft fuller version that barely even looks related. The veins, the striations, the dense muscle fibers that used to push against her skin are completely gone, now she's just a regular buff woman who clearly still lifts but has none of that insane hardness left. This new look of hers is clearly nothing close to the average off-season look, everything that made her look insane is gone...It really puts the whole effort narrative in its place, because if pure dedication and pain could create that kind of physique then retiring wouldn't erase it so fast. The truth is the roids were doing almost all the real work barely holding that physique together, and once the drugs stopped supporting it her body had no choice but to deflate back toward something more normal. The insane dedication was just the excuse people use to avoid admitting how dependent that look was on the purest harshest gear available. Am I overreacting or has anyone else noticed this too??

It's a dramatic transformation, but I think you're oversimplifying things a bit. Years of training, genetics, nutrition, and pharmacology all play a role in building an elite bodybuilding physique. Stage-level conditioning and that extreme hardness are also difficult to maintain year-round. Her current appearance doesn't erase the years of work she put in, but it certainly raises interesting questions about how much PEDs contribute to maintaining that exceptional competition look. It would be interesting to hear what others think.
