Jennifer Thomas and Steve agree to engage in peace talks

Guys,

I talked with Jen. We agreed to engage in "peace talks" regarding our dispute under these conditions:

- Steve agrees to take down "Jennifer Thomas is a scammer"-type posts on ***** and Saradas and "knock it off" for the time being
- Jen agrees to do the same with her social media posts
- A mutual friend, Kat ( You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login ), agrees to be our "go-between" in the talks
- Steve, Jen, and Kat will go to a restaurant of Jen's choosing
- the goal is to create a short-term truce that benefits both parties, and perhaps the community in general. We can optionally renew the truce based on good behavior from both parties.
- steve gets to walk Jen's dog Daisy

Questions, comments and suggestions are both welcome and accepted.

Every contract I've ever engaged with Jen says "if there's a dispute in the contract, it goes to mediation. LOSER PAYS MEDIATION FEE!!!!"

Then she doesn't abide by the contract, keeps the money and states "I refuse to see the mediator".

Again, if everyone is so sure she is "rin the right", she should just go to mediation with me and she'll WIN.

Excellent news! However, I think it would be healthiest both for you and the broader community for you to handle this matter privately rather than on public forums. There is nothing to be gained by amplifying such a fraught personal conflict, and it seems to have had negative effects here and on r3ddit. If anything, it likely is only heightening the pain and frustration of it all. Wishing you the best.

As long as disputes get handled by a private mediator, I am fine. Loser pays mediation fee. This is in the contract.

Ok, just to let you know ,I finally met up with Jennifer and Kat. Overall, the meeting went overall well in the sense we both talked civilly at least. While we couldn't come to agreement, it was decided that we brainstorm more offers and discuss this with a couples counsellor before she leaves for Las Vegas. So we'll see I guess.

She's also letting me walk her dog Daisy.
