Not sure if those knockouts were real since I wasn't there, but I have done multiple sessions with both ladies and can say each is capable of really doing it. With Severa I felt myself going out and tapped, Gia finished the KO.

Idk for videos I'm not it but vast majority is real scissor squeezing going on and yes guys do get Knocked Out often.

I suspect its applied around the diaphram not the ribs.

Correct, although squeezing above the most fragile ribs is sometimes part of doing it also.
