Ogress

The First One

Tara Jacobson, better known to the general public as Ogress, was just finishing up a masturbation session.  The custom-made gigantic couch she was sprawled on was broken, as it always was after she did this.  It wasn't cheap to replace, but as the most powerful figure in Solar City's underworld she could afford it, and the continuous reminders of how strong she was were more than worth the expense.  She rose and stretched, then walked up to the mirror that took up the entire wall the couch faced to take in her body.  She was the first to admit that she had a narcissistic streak a light year wide, but who could blame her?  She stood a full twelve feet tall and her entire frame was swollen with immense, diamond-hard, bulging muscle.  She had been small and skinny before her Neohuman gene activated during puberty.  She had "only" been eight feet tall and a couple tons before she got tired of living in her parents barn and hiding from the rest of the town.  So, at age sixteen, she left, running faster than the fastest car to Solar City, the Neohuman capital of the country, if not the world.  The odd jobs she initially drifted between barely provided her with enough money for a one-bedroom apartment in the seedy part of town, and ever since she had started growing she had wanted some opportunity to seriously test her strength, an opportunity neither her work on the farm (alternating between manual labor and helping with bookkeeping) nor her work in Solar City had allowed her to really do.  Soon she had found an underground Neohuman fighting ring, which she dominated for about a year, during which she first started calling herself Ogress.  The organizer liked her, at least at first, but eventually her effortlessly beating the shit out of any challengers got boring, or at least that was what he said when he gave her his cousin's phone number.

It turned out his cousin was the Melter, one of the most powerful criminals in the city.  Having grown to enjoy overpowering her opponents in the fighting ring, Ogress was on board when he explained he needed more muscle for his organization.  It was early in her time working for him that Tara would discover another aspect of her powers.  Her initial job was simple enough, guarding a warehouse being used to store weaponry of various types.  One night, three weeks into the job, the warehouse was raided by Devil and Angel, a husband and wife hero duo.  Devil's monstrous horned form was bigger than her (at the time), and physically stronger than anyone she'd fought before, but not strong enough.  No sooner had her battered, unconscious husband hit the floor than Angel had one of her haloes around Ogress's neck, choking her unconscious.

When she regained consciousness in the back of a heavy-duty police van, which she effortlessly broke out of, Ogress was bigger (and, she would later discover, significantly stronger) than before, about six inches taller and several hundred pounds heavier.  About a year later, the next time she and Angel fought, Angel would try the same trick again, only to find Ogress's throat was now muscular and strong enough to breathe without issue.  When Tara made it back to Melter's penthouse, he was in the middle of saying that screwing up so badly so early in her career wasn't a good first impression when she, on an impulse, punched him.  He was caught sufficiently off guard that he didn't have time to turn to liquid as he usually would, and died instantly.

The safes containing both ridiculous amounts of cash and access information for Melter's bank accounts and so on wouldn't have been even a minor challenge to break before Tara's growth spurt, and definitely weren't now.  As such, taking over the organization was child's play.  She, as her predecessor had, realized the benefits of keeping a low profile in her current position, and largely did so, hiding behind the goons and hired supervillains who remained loyal to her and several others she was able to use her new assets to hire or otherwise recruit.  Early on a few other villains tried to take over the same way she had, and failed.  Likewise, the occasional superhero who managed to find her or become a major thorn in her side that her subordinates weren't able to conclusively deal with also gave her the chance to relive her fight club days.  Whenever an opponent actually managed to meaningfully hurt her in the process, she experienced a new growth spurt and her body adapted to prevent the same kind of thing from happening again.  That plus a weight room with adjustable artificial gravity she had commissioned to be built in the building she primarily lived in had allowed her to grow into the behemoth she was now, easily the most muscular person in the world and stronger than anyone she'd ever met.  She had a small harem of lovers, but nothing got her off like her own muscles and strength.
To be continued (seriously)

I like the way this is starting.

Interesting start, seems a bit rushed to set up everything in a small chapter. Still, not bad. Keep it up.

Nice. She should take every opportunity to get hurt, or even hurt herself, in order to get tougher. She seems to have unlimited potential.
