Muscular Music

(A quick little beginning of hopefully something good.)

Two women stood in the middle of a dusty road well outside of town.  Each one dressed in a finely pressed black suit and bow tie.  They looked identical down to their long blonde hair and black sunglasses.  There was an old school looking boombox sitting on the ground next to one of them.  The sun was high up in the bright blue sky, the heat sweltering, but the girls didn't look the least bit fazed.  Not a drop of sweat on either of them.  They both grinned as the ground underneath them started to rumble.  Three massive tanks rolled to a stop about five  hundred feet from them.  Big trucks with mini-guns attached to the top came to a stop on either side of the tanks.  The whirring of helicopter blades hovered overhead.  Hundreds of men dressed in heavy body armor holding various weapons- machine guns, rocket launchers, you name it, they had it- settled in a flanking pattern.  Every single weapon was pointed at them, yet they acted like they couldn't care in the slightest.  A well decorated general stepped up in between the tanks, holding a megaphone.

"Stand down now.  There is no need for this to get ugly."  He said, voice carrying through the megaphone.

The women just grinned wider.  Neither said a word.  One bent over and pushed a button on the boombox.  Welcome to the Jungle by Guns and Roses started blaring through the speakers. The other woman lowered her glasses onto the edge of her nose, revealing a set of blazing yellow/orange eyes, before raising them back up, and held out her hand giving the general the signal to "bring it on".

"So be it.  Men prepare to fire!"  he said, backing up, and disappearing behind the tanks.

The girls each adjusted the other's bow tie as Sharp Dressed Man by ZZ Top started to play on the boombox.  They ran their hands through their hair, pulling it up into ponytails.  The first bullet hit one of them in the shoulder and stopped dead, falling to the ground in a crumpled up mess.  The girls continued to make sure their dressings were in proper form as more bullets buzzed through the air, each one tinking on the pavement.  The general screamed for the men to keep firing and hundreds of bullets tore at the women, searching for any weak spot.  One of them yawned and brushed a wrecked bullet off of her shoulder.  They looked at each other, and then started walking forward, heads bobbing to the beat of the music.  The general, meanwhile, was starting to get angry.

   "Mini-guns!"

The humming of thousands of bullets a minute nearly drowned out the new tune rocking the boombox speakers- La Grange by ZZ Top.  As soon as the beat picked up, the women took off in a sprint, running right at the tanks.

"Rocket Launchers, tanks, helicopters- hell fire everything!"  the generals voice screamed into the megaphone.

Missiles hit the women dead center, exploding into a great ball of fire and sending about a ton of dirt and dust into the air.  By the time the dust cleared, it was too late.  A tank suddenly flew through the air and crashed into the side of a mountain, bursting into fiery shrapnel.  Another One Bites the Dust by Queen began to play as another tank took flight.
