First off you have to give this woman credit for not only coping with adversity but pushing ahead and being a model for anyone dealing with a handicap.

One of the things I always think of when I see anyone who is handicapped is the totally inadequate mechanical limbs they have to deal with.  They either get something that looks fairly normal but doesn't work very well, or a device that looks like crap but works fairly well.  With modern technology this woman could have a set of mechanical arms that both look and work well.  The limbs could be covered in a soft skin like plastic that is colored to match her own skin tone, the limbs could even have the small hairs, etc., the hardware is pretty simple, the control would be a bit wonky and take time to learn, but once the person was acclimated to the limb would work just like a real limb.  She could even have limbs that have muscles that bulge when she bends the arms.   But there are two major problems preventing this, one is simple greed, any company with the technical expertise to do the work would want millions to do it, or those who are willing to do the work for free have no money to build the devices with.  Then the other major problem is laws put in place to make billions for medical corporations and doctors.   It costs a small fortune to get any medical device Licenced in the USA.
