The musclemorphosis

One morning, when Georgia Samson awoke from troubled dreams, she found herself transformed into a giant musclebound woman. She lay on her muscular back, and lifting her head she could see a massive bosom sitting atop a broad chest, neither of which she had any memory of. Using the two hefty tree trunks that had replaced her arms, she felt around her torso, discovering below her breasts what appeared to be a set of eight solid abdominal muscles. She then spotted the two thick and powerful legs further down, dangling by several feet off of the end of her mattress. She lifted each foot up in turn, confirming that these unfamiliar appendages did indeed belong to her.

Georgia's chest, shoulders and buttocks had expanded in size so prodigiously that by all accounts the clothes she had gone to bed in should have been ripped to shreds. Yet, curiously, she was still sensibly covered in what appeared to be an enormous replica of her familiar pink pyjama two-piece. She tossed her colossal frame to and fro, realising as she did that she was lying much closer to the ground than she recalled. It seemed that her old wooden bed frame was gone. Instead, she now found herself lying on a double mattress that had been placed unceremoniously on the floor of her bedroom.

Georgia had no interest in continuing this nightmare any further. It was time to wake up. But every attempt she made to rouse herself from this frightening dream seemed to fail her. Whenever she shut her eyes and opened them again she returned to her familiar bedroom, but the terrifying muscular creature continued to lie there on the mattress where her body should have been. It was uncanny really. Georgia looked about her room, somehow it was all still exactly as she remembered. Typical of a teenage schoolgirl, it had four pink walls, a fluffy white carpet, and a small dresser and wardrobe off to one corner. With the exception of her vanishing bedframe, everything was in its rightful place. It was only when she looked more carefully at her desk and the chair, did she wonder if they seemed a touch larger and sturdier than she remembered.

All of her books and belongings were in their usual places too, her various ornaments adorning the surfaces of furniture in their carefully scattered yet organised arrangements. The Polaroid photos—memories of outings with her family and Rebecca—were all hanging in a neat collage on a corkboard beside her bed. But when Georgia propped herself upright and inspected the photographs closer, she saw that they had, in fact, changed. She looked at the most recent one, expecting to see herself: a five-foot-nothing, skinny and underdeveloped 18-year-old, standing next to the much taller Rebecca atop their favourite hill in the local park. Rebecca was there, just as she remembered, but instead the photo now displayed the girl struggling to get her arm around the waist of another woman—a monstrous mountain of muscle, twice her height, and presumably multiple times her weight. Georgia was horrified to see her best friend enjoying herself with such a beast and wanted to toss the photograph aside. But when she forced herself to look at it again, she noticed something strange about the woman. She was blonde and freckled just like her. In fact, the woman had her face.

It was all too much. Georgia turned from the photographs and looked out the window at the dull weather outside. Droplets of rain hit the pane which made her feel quite sad about everything. "How about if I sleep a little bit longer and forget all this nonsense," she said to herself out loud, but that was something she was unable to do. Her thoughts were scattered and difficult to reign into anything coherent. And when she lay down to try and relax her mind back to sleep, she found her movements were awkward and restricted by her bulk. She tried to roll onto her side, but the bulging masses of her arms and shoulders prevented her from settling into her preferred sleeping position.

This was all horribly inconvenient, she thought. She had an important test that day, and it was not the ideal time to be suffering from a hallucinatory episode. Georgia—a straight-A student, in advanced classes in all subjects, and soon to be attending the most elite university in the country—had never missed a day of school in her 18 years of life. In fact, she had never even shown up a minute late to a single class. Georgia scolded herself for having set such impossibly high expectations for herself, that a simple setback like this would scupper it all.

She prodded and poked at various parts of the unsightly bulk that surrounded every corner of her colossal frame, but still, the illusion refused to fade. The body she now inhabited was akin to that of a champion weightlifter, but somehow even more massive than that. It was not defined and veiny in the way of a professional bodybuilder's, but rather meaty, as if all of these muscles were a product of raw strength as opposed to vanity. "No, no, no this won't do at all," Georgia grumbled, grinding her teeth back and forth as she flexed her thick arms resentfully in front of her face. But seeing that there was no apparent way to escape this nightmare, for the time being, Georgia decided to lift herself from the mattress at last.

It was clear within seconds that her body was too large for the room, but even taking the greatest of care to move as slowly and carefully as she could, she still found herself colliding head-first into the ceiling with a painful thump. She was not even standing upright yet, how could she possibly already be at the ceiling? Georgia bent forward slightly so as to allow her legs to fully extend and support her heavy frame. To remain standing upright she was forced to crane over by quite an acute angle, suggesting she was at least two or three feet taller than her ceiling now—perhaps over 12 feet in height from head to toe if her estimations were accurate.

In her stooped position, Georgia looked down at her body again and inspected it with mild disgust. What had not been as clear while lying down, but was quite unmistakable now that she was standing, were just how large and heavy her newfound breasts were. In fact, Georgia considered them to be rather unnaturally soft given the degree of bulky muscularity that encased the rest of her body. She stumbled across the room towards her wardrobe, keenly aware of how her bosom swayed from side to side as she walked.

Expecting to find the wardrobe full of now insufficiently proportioned clothing, Georgia was instead surprised to discover that everything was all there just as she remembered, only in versions ten times their previous sizes. She picked out the tartan skirt and the white button-down blouse of her school uniform and held them against her body. The fit was much too close to her present size to be accidental. In fact, the only items in her wardrobe that she didn't recognise were the gigantic brassieres dangling off of one of the hangers, which, having previously been a girl with a profound lack of chest, she had little idea what to do with.

This was becoming far too realistic for her liking. If this was not simply a frightfully persistent nightmare or hallucination, Georgia presumed that the only other explanation was that she had slipped into an alternate reality. She began to grow frustrated at the thought of it. It was a Monday morning after all: she had school to attend. "Good grief," she moaned, shaking her head in frustration. If only she didn't put so much pressure on herself, then she might have been able to skip one day to figure it all out. Other girls her age might have just complained of a sore throat to get the day off, but Georgia would not hear of it. Come rain or shine, or transformation into a 12-foot giant, Georgia would attend school.

So with time marching on, and her monstrous body apparently not going anywhere, she began to get changed. From the outside, Georgia could not have fathomed that any clothing in existence would have comfortably fit her, but after slipping the blouse over her solid shoulders and meaty arms, she discovered that it really was not so bad. Sure, it was only just enough to cover her upper body, and the sleeves were much too short for the size of her arms, but at the very least those ghastly breasts were covered up. A pair of knickers came next, followed by the tartan skirt. Both were in a similarly improbable size, but they seemed to fit her well enough. Then came the finishing touches: a pair of long white socks and two shiny black shoes. It all fit her, just about, but the sheer size of everything—the shoes in particular—made her grow even more concerned about just how convincing this alternate reality seemed to be.

Having now covered up her colossal body in her new clothes—save the bra, which she did not know even how to begin to put on—Georgia considered herself to be as satisfied as she was likely going to be. She then looked over at the alarm clock ticking the precious seconds of the morning away on her chest of drawers and gasped. It was half past seven already. Had the alarm not rung? Had she slept through it? Her absence at breakfast would surely have been noted, and by her luck, her mother would be ascending the stairs right now to check on her. They would be leaving the house together at eight and she would have to rush like mad now if she were to make it to school on time.

Through all the madness, Georgia had scarcely even had the mental energy to pack her bags yet. What about her homework, she thought—all the assignments that were due in that day? But in yet another eery coincidence, when she inspected her desk, she found all of her finished work was still strewn across it, scattered in an identical fashion to how she remembered leaving it the night prior. For some reason it was this that seemed the most out of place of all. Something was definitely all mixed up here. It was improbable really—the way in which everything in this world was so precisely as she recalled it being, with the sole exception of her body. Everything was the same, down to the placement of the sheets of paper upon her desk, and still, she looked like this. Georgia could not figure out how any of it was possible. It must have been her then, that she was going mad somehow, imagining herself in this way. She knew she should surely take the day off sick—all signals were pointing to that. But that was not like her. Even a morning's absence would be enough for her impeccable academic record to be tarnished for good.

Georgia thought hurriedly through her options. She was unable to decide whether to ask her family what was wrong with her, or whether to ignore it all and simply get on with her day like everything was normal. The idea that she might have truly gone insane was now edging in front as the most likely explanation, but perhaps raising an alarm would be unwise. She couldn't waste the morning on a visit to the doctors. Her mother would surely insist upon that if she learned that her daughter was imagining herself as a 12-foot-tall musclewoman. And besides, despite her frightful appearance, she really did feel totally fine. More than fine, in fact. When Georgia picked up her now-minuscule backpack—full of heavy textbooks, and folders stuffed full of school work—it felt almost weightless in her hand.

Georgia chewed down on her unpleasantly thick fingernails to assuage her anxiety. But just then, as if awoken by the act of her chewing, her stomach began to growl. That was the last thing she needed. Just to make this predicament of hers even more dire, now this blasted oversized body needed feeding it seemed, and desperately so. She held one massive hand across her hard abdomen and winced as the sharp pangs of hunger ricocheted around her belly. As a previously small girl who had never claimed to have much of an appetite, this was a feeling that she was not at all familiar with, and of which she was certainly not a fan.

Just then, there was an angry knock at her door.

"Georgia" a woman called, "it's half past seven, your breakfast is getting cold. If you don't get up soon you'll have to walk to school."

As expected, it was her mother—her tone stern and uncompromising as usual.

"Yes, mother. Nearly ready," Georgia called back through the door, foolishly.

Her voice made her pause. It was her own for sure, still with its polite Southern English accent, but with a character that was notably different. It was much deeper and huskier sounding than before. No longer the feeble whine of an introverted girl, but the rich tones of a woman fully grown. Georgia instinctively covered her mouth as if to stop more of this voice from coming out of her.

"Are you all right dear?" Returned her mother, now sounding more confused than impatient.

"Uh-huh," Georgia replied at once, trying to raise the pitch and lower the volume of her voice as if to mimic the one she was used to.

"Very well. Hurry up, will you?"

Her mother called back as she descended the stairs again.

There was nothing for it now. She had to get on with something at least. Georgia scolded herself yet again for allowing such high expectations to be set for herself. If only she were a less diligent student like her brother, a minor setback like transforming overnight into a colossal hulk perhaps would not be so problematic. But Georgia had no recourse available to her, she needed to get to her quiz, lest her perfect track record of academic achievement suffer unnecessarily. So with an audible gulp to swallow her fear she opened the door.

Almost in an instant, Georgia was faced with what should have been an obvious realisation: that her humble family home was not built to house a creature of her size. The doorframe proved the most immediate task, requiring her to bend her legs, lean forwards, and twist her body to the side just to get through it. But that was nothing compared to the staircase that followed. Their family's house was a small semi-detached building, and the staircase was narrow even by a normal-person's standards. To say it was profoundly inadequate for a body as prodigiously wide as the one she now found herself in would be a vast understatement. But of course, there were no other routes available, she couldn't exactly hop out of the window. So there was really nothing else she could do but to turn to a sideways position, and crab-walk down the stars as carefully as she could. Though Georgia took great efforts not to knock all of her family photos off of the wall, one small frame did meet with an unfortunate end when it collided with the bulge of her breasts towards the final steps. Clearing up the debris as quickly as she could, Georgia decided she was too preoccupied to worry about the fact that a childhood photo of her with her brother did seem to make him look like he was smaller than one of her legs.

Out in the kitchen, her mother, father, and brother, were all in the process of setting down their spoons having finished breakfast. Georgia's usual bowl of warm porridge was set out for her uneaten. Perhaps it was all of the protein that had done this to her, Georgia thought to herself when she spotted the size of the bowl. It was considerably larger than the other three, closer to a serving bowl than anything any reasonable person would eat out of. It was full almost to the rim with thick, gloopy porridge covered in a layer of golden syrup. Her stomach growled angrily yet again at the sight of it and she found herself licking her lips involuntarily.

But her hunger-filled daydream was soon broken by the stern voice of her mother calling up to her again,

"Georgia, please, hurry along or you will have to go without breakfast."

Georgia could not understand what was happening. Despite being convinced that this was all in her imagination, she had still half-expected her family to react with the same horror and disgust as she had done when first laying eyes upon this new hulking frame of hers. But they merely stared back at her, waiting for her to respond. It was like nothing was different at all. In fact, the only thing that seemed to concern them was her unusually furtive behaviour. But then, Georgia realised something horrifying: It could not have been that they merely did not see her for what she was. She was so tall that in her hunched position, Georgia's head and shoulders rested firmly up against the ceiling, and all three of her family members were craning their necks up in that direction to look her in the eyes. The hypothesis that she had been transported into a parallel universe now, sadly, seemed even more likely. That, or she had well and truly lost her grip on reality.

"I'm not feeling well today mother, can you not tell?"

Georgia replied in that commanding voice of a woman that she had yet to become accustomed to. Her mother shook her head and pointed to the reinforced and specially lowered chair that had been placed on her side of the table.

"You look perfectly healthy to me dear, now eat your breakfast, I won't have you complaining that you're hungry again—your appetite is putting us out of house and home as it is."

Georgia's mind fell even deeper into turmoil at learning this news. What could it mean? Her mother was acting as if she had always been this way—an overgrown beast who couldn't fit in her home and had an appetite that could compete with a family of four. Georgia's inquisitive mind wanted desperately to find some rationale for how a world in which someone like existed could make even the slightest bit of sense, but her mother began to yell at her once again before she could give it any serious thought.

"Georgia, last warning!" She barked, "Eat, or go hungry."

At the very least her mother's temperament was the same—and by the fact that her father was still hidden behind a newspaper, and her brother trying his best to ignore them all by playing a video game on his phone—the whole family seemed to be the same as well. It really did seem as though it was only in her mind that something had taken a dramatic shift.

To make matters worse, her mother's warnings about her hunger were evidently well-founded, as Georgia's belly, for the third time now, threatened to tie itself into a knot from hunger. So she picked up the serving spoon she had been given and began to shovel the enormous portion of porridge into her mouth. It was still warm enough, and deliciously sweet thanks to all the extra golden syrup her mother had drizzled into it. She finished the lot in little more than a few spoonfuls, and licked the bowl clean when she was done. Her mother then promptly gathered up the dishes and tossed them into the kitchen sink for her father to deal with.

"That's the daughter I remember." She said with a sigh of relief, stroking a hand tenderly across one of Georgia's engorged triceps, "Come on then darling, let's get going."

Georgia tried not to dwell on the fact that the section of her upper arm that her mother was touching seemed to be larger than the woman's entire head, and instead did as she was told and followed her out the door.

While the bizarre parallel world that Georgia found herself in that morning was uncannily similar to the one she remembered, there were a select few differences, aside from her body. And out in their driveway, she discovered another—a large white minivan was parked where their small family hatchback used to be. Her brother and mother each got into the front two seats without saying a word about the matter, leaving Georgia behind, unsure of where she was supposed to sit. Although it seemed like an unwise decision, she briefly attempted to get in the back seat, but her mother began to protest as she opened the door,

"Georgia we are already late, stop messing around!"

Georgia understood what the issue must have been: given that she was almost twice the height of the minivan it was abundantly clear that there was no way she would fit in the side door. Her suspicions were then confirmed when she spotted her mother lean out of the window and gesture towards the boot.

Upon opening the two rear doors it suddenly became clear what the plan was. Inside, the entire vehicle had been gutted of all its contents. Instead, a soft blanket had been draped across the empty space where perhaps up to four passengers would have once been.

"Come on Georgia, get in! What has gotten into you today?"

Her mother growled at her, with even more urgency than before. Apparently, this was how a girl of her size was supposed to travel around. So squeezing her oversized body inside the cramped space, and wincing at frightening creak of the van's suspension as it strained to take her weight, Georgia felt a new wave of humiliation flush across her. She recalled scenes she had seen in documentaries about zoos, in which heavy, wounded animals had to be tranquilised and carried away in reinforced vehicles just like this. Now she was no different than them, she supposed: just a huge and heavy inconvenience.

*

Like her home, and even her mother's specially prepared minivan, Georgia's high school did not fair much better at handling her sudden giantism. As she walked through the school that morning, she found that every space she encountered was routinely too short, narrow or cramped for her. Even the high-ceilinged hallways that joined the various classrooms together were decidedly not built with a 12-foot woman in mind either.

Georgia shuffled around the school with her shoulders permanently hunched over. She tried her best to pull her massive arms into her equally massive chest as much as she could, all in a futile bid to reduce the size of her body. It was simply no use though, somehow being around so many other people that morning made her feel even more ginormous than ever. Gazing down at her classmates below, she recognised that not even the tallest amongst them reached more than the height of her upper thigh. She was truly some kind of behemoth now. Anyone seeing her would have been well within their rights to scream and run in the opposite direction, like when a Kaiju is about to demolish a city in some old films she'd seen. Yet most puzzlingly of all, her presence did not actually seem to be a cause for alarm. Although it was obvious that if Georgia was by some misfortune to fall, she was easily heavy enough to crush any of the students' puny bodies into pancakes, they did not seem to be fazed at all by that possibility. They all saw her coming sure enough and knew just how to dart from her path ahead of time so as to avoid a head-on collision or worse. But for the most part, she was treated like just another student, albeit a very very large one.

Her first class that day was English, which meant that it was time for the quiz. It was not foreseen to be challenging one by any means, but so full of fret had Georgia's mind been that morning that she had had little bandwidth to mentally revise for it like she usually would. As she lumbered towards her classroom, her fear turned momentarily to frustration. If this inconvenient transformation of hers was going to lead to getting her first mark below 100%, she really would be mightily annoyed with it all.

The classroom was just like she remembered but with yet another all-important change. Set at the back of the room were a startlingly oversized chair and desk. Unlike the hastily modified dining chair that her family had prepared for her back at home, this set seemed custom-made to fit a genuine giant. It was perhaps three times the size of the others in the room and looked utterly absurd sitting amongst all the normal-sized furniture like that. A desk of that scale could surely have had no real purpose at all being so large, but of course, it did not take any imagination to determine who it had been placed there for. Georgia felt her frustration bubble up even further. This would not do at all—she was a front-row student, and everyone knew her as such. This relocation to the back of the class was most unwelcome indeed.

Having arrived early, Georgia took her—admittedly rather comfortably sized—seat and watched the other students file into the class behind her. As they had done in the hallways, the others largely paid their giant classmate little more than a passing glance. She spotted her best friend Rebecca taking her usual place at the front of the class, just beside where she used to sit. The pair exchanged a polite smile and a wave, but again no remark or even a bemused expression was made to suggest anything was out of the ordinary with how she looked.

Mrs Lovelock then set about passing around the quiz, and the class was instructed to begin. Georgia's mind was still embroiled in the state of panic of its own making, and she found herself racing through the exam faster than ever. The quiz was about an old Victorian novel  that she had read long before the class, so her brain was able to go into autopilot. In fairness, she couldn't be sure that this transformation might have caused her mental prowess to suffer, so she tried to ensure she would have all the time she needed to check and re-check her answers. But in the end, Georgia sped through the quiz in less than 15 minutes, surprising herself with just how eloquently she had managed to write for the descriptive questions. In fact, as she had inadvertantly destroyed three of her pens in her fingers in the process, she probably would have been able to finish even faster had she been more careful. Once she was satisfied with her answers, Georgia set down her paper and cleared her throat to get the teacher's attention.

Seeing that her star pupil had finished in record time, Mrs Lovelock looked up and smiled. Georgia then did what she always did, and got up from her desk to take her walk of pride over to the teacher's desk. Unfortunately, now that she had to deal with the fact that she was situated at the back of the class, and was too tall to even stand upright inside of it, this was a much more perilous victory lap than she would have liked. From the grunts of consternation echoing around the room, it was clear that her classmates were none too happy either about the way she was attempting to squeeze her overgrown body past them. Essentially every desk on both sides of her body was forced into tipping over slightly by her muscular legs as she pushed her way to the front of the class. Still, eventually, she made it, and once beside her teacher's desk Georgia triumphantly placed the completed test down—if a little bit too forcefully by the way the desk shook under her palm. Seeing it unwise to attempt the journey back so soon Georgia elected instead to lower herself down to her knees beside Mrs Lovelock and watch her mark the test.

"100% yet again Georgia, you never falter do you?"

Mrs Lovelock proclaimed when she was done, leading to yet more muffled groans of annoyance from her classmates. This was something she was quite used to, being the girl who intentionally worked as hard as she could so that no one else could even compete. However, these particular groans seemed a touch more mean-spirited than usual. Perhaps it was the way she had pushed her way to the front of the class like that that had annoyed them, she wondered. Georgia felt her face turn red. Only Rebecca in the front row offered her a small smile and a thumbs up to try and console her.

Following this latest embarrassment, Georgia saw it best to stay put at the front of the class. She had realised too late that her little stunt from earlier probably led to quite a few of her classmates looking directly up her skirt, and that alone was something she really had to make sure she was more careful about in the future. So for the remaining 45 minutes of the period, Georgia sat by herself in the corner of the room, reading a book from Mrs Lovelock's shelf. There, at least, she would be a nuisance to no one, she thought.

Although the next class, chemistry, followed immediately after their first period, Georgia had more important things on her mind. If there was one person in the world that she would be able to talk to about all of this it was her longest and closest friend. So, out in the hall on their way to the next class, she tried to catch Rebecca's attention to glean more about this sudden transformation. Leaning down and tapping her on the shoulder, Georgia tried to hint as subtly as she could that she needed a word.

Of everyone she had towered over already that day, it was towering over Rebecca of all people that made her feel the most unsettled. The slender 6'1'' basketball player had been her beloved giraffe for practically as long as they had known each other. In fact, Georgia had always assumed that being known as the tallest girl in school had always been a part of Rebecca's identity in a way. That was until now, it seemed.

"Bec," Georgia began casually, trying to sound as if the question she was about to ask was out of mere curiosity and nothing else, "have I always been taller than you, for as long as you've known me?"

Rebecca craned her long, swanlike neck up to the ceiling to look at Georgia. But she just smiled and scoffed,

"Funny question to ask, surely you would remember?"

"Yes, heh, but I'm just trying to figure out when it was that I got, uh, tall."

Rebecca's eyes narrowed. She knew something was up already. Stopping Georgia in her place, she reached up to lay a consoling hand on a meaty forearm that was about the same width as her waist.

"I dunno. You've always been taller than everyone, Georgie, including me. Don't you remember back in primary school—you were a foot taller than all the teachers even then? Is everything okay, babe?"

Georgia tried her best to respond with just a calm nod of her head but could feel that the tears had already begun to well up in the corners of her eyes.

"Yes... I mean... I don't know... can we talk somewhere?"

"Alright," Rebecca answered, supportively "we can, but we'll be late for chem—"

"I don't care about chemistry right now!" Georgia snapped back, "I just want to talk to you."

"Oh." Rebecca replied, her facial expression suddenly acknowledging the seriousness of the situation, "Yes something must really be wrong then. Let's go."

The two of them then hurried off into the bathroom, but once inside they discovered they were not alone. A year-ten girl—a pipsqueak around the same height that Georgia used to be—was there washing her hands. In a moment of panic, Georgia instinctively found herself puffing out her chest and flexing her arms to scare the girl off. It was not something she felt in the least bit comfortable doing, but at least her excessive size did have some uses.

"Rebecca", Georgia began once they were alone, "I think I'm having a nightmare... or... memory loss or... something... I'm not sure what to call this exactly."

"I see, go on," Rebecca replied, lifting herself up onto the bathroom counter to get to a more comfortable height to have a conversation. Georgia responded in kind by kneeling down—certainly a lot more comfortable than standing with her shoulders hunched over like she had been doing.

"It'll sound crazy, but I woke up this morning looking, well, like this." She continued, gesturing towards her body. "And I don't remember being like this at all, but everyone seems to be acting like it's any other day."

One of Rebecca's eyebrows raised, clearly unconvinced.

"Right. And what did you think you looked like?" She asked, sceptically.

"Well... like you... sort of, not exactly. You were always much taller than me. I used to be small. Like that girl who was in here just now... People always used to comment on how I looked much younger than my age. Don't you remember? I never used to be like this, right? Not all... big."

Georgia lifted the two bulging monstrosities that were her arms and rotated them around in the air as if to showcase them to Rebecca. Georgia found them just as difficult to look at as when she had woken up. It was like two huge slabs of inanimate meat had been surgically attached to her torso against her will.

Rebecca's eyes widened. She seemed to be stifling a laugh now.

"Riiiight... Well yes Georgie, I... think you must have hit your head in your sleep or something, because you look exactly like yourself to me, and I don't see anyone else around here acting any different. So I'm not sure what you're going on about if I'm honest."

Rebecca glanced away for a moment, the look in her eye suggested she was by no means convinced by any of this and was probably wondering what to do if her friend really had gone a little mad. But Georgia snapped back,

"That's exactly what's so weird! I thought everyone would be as shocked to see me as I was when I woke up looking like this, but everyone's acting like it's how I've always been. Even my Mum and Dad! My big brother's no bigger than my arm Bec! How is that possible!"

Rebecca's amusement seemed to make way for genuine concern at last.

"Well... I mean, you have Georgia. You have always been..."

"What?" Georgia snapped, "I've always been what, Rebecca?"

Rebecca chewed on her lip for a while before replying.

"Um, I mean, like you said: big. You've always been, really, really big... It's just...I'm sorry, but you usually hate it when people talk about you like this? Are you sure this is okay?"

Rebecca seemed to be genuinely nervous raising the subject.

"Talk about what?" Georgia moaned, "Rebecca, I'm telling you: I don't remember anything about this, please explain what you're talking about!"

Georgia found herself tensing up her muscles as she spoke which caused her veins to bulge visibly out of her arms, and the seams along her sleeves begin to rip apart. Rebecca withered at the sight of her and instinctively pushed herself backwards on the bathroom counter,

"Okay okay." She began breathlessly, holding her hands in front of her chest as if facing down a wild animal about to pounce. "I guess, if you really don't remember... Look, it's just... you're a really big girl, okay? Always have been. None of us really know why—I don't think your parents have a clear idea either. It feels weird even talking about this, to be honest, because ever since I've known you you've always hated when people bring up your size. People are also generally wise enough not to intentionally upset you either, so..."

Georgia felt another wave of panic coming, fearing what this version of her might have done in the past to create such an unwholesome reputation.

"What do you mean 'upset' me? Have I ever... hurt anyone?"

Rebecca shook her head,

"Oh no... Well, not intentionally, anyway. You've cracked my ribs while hugging me on two separate occasions, but that's all water under the bridge now. It's more like... people are afraid of what you might be able to do—if you ever wanted to. I've never seen you hurt a fly though."

Georgia didn't like the idea of her injuring her best friend, but the news that she was not presently regarded as a public menace was a positive at least.

"Okay. That's good I guess. But I still don't get it. Why do I have all these muscles? They're so huge and ugly, I can barely even get into my uniform."

Rebecca burst into laughter, only covering her mouth when she realised her outburst had upset Georgia.

"What?!" Georgia boomed, a seam along her bicep ripping open in the process.

But Rebecca just continued to chortle away to herself under her breath.

"Oh sorry... It's just... yeah I guess you really are not yourself today are you? Hey, maybe you slipped through the multiverse or something?"

"I don't know Bec, I have no idea what's going on. But what is so funny, why are you laughing?"

Rebecca shook her head dismissively, as though these questions were all impossibly naive of her to ask.

"It's just funny to me because you're asking the same questions that practically everyone has been asking throughout your whole life. I promise you, none of us has the foggiest idea why you, and those muscles of yours, are so bloody enormous. I can't believe you don't remember! Don't you remember all the doctors doing tests on you, trying to figure out why a preschool girl had muscles bigger than a bodybuilder?"

"You mean I was like this when I was a kid!?" Georgia gasped.

"Oh Jesus... Yes, babe, you were famous. They've written medical publications about you I think... Honestly, Georgie, I really thought this was all something that you hated talking about. I guess it's good in a way that you're coming to terms—"

"I am not coming to terms with it!" Georgia growled "I want to go back to normal right now! I want to be a normal girl again!"

She felt the tears return, unable to stop them from streaming out of her eyes this time.

"Oh," Rebecca replied, hopping off of her counter to go and tenderly embrace one of Georgia's arms. "I'm sorry babe, this obviously has you shaken up. After school, let's try and figure out what's going on here, okay?"

Following some final words of encouragement from Rebecca, Georgia managed to calm herself down enough to face chemistry, to which they were now 15 minutes late.

"Oh gosh. We're missing stuff, we need to go." Georgia sniffed as she crouched down to exit the bathroom.

"That's the Georgia I remember," Rebecca replied cheerfully, following close behind.

"Really? So I'm still a good student then?"

Once out in the hallway again, Rebecca shot her a sarcastic eye roll.

"Yes Georgie, you're still on track for valedictorian, don't you worry." She said derisively, "just a word of caution though, in this universe most students around here aren't so happy with the strongest, tallest, and smartest person in the school all happening to be rolled into the same person."

It felt foolish but Georgia was comforted by this knowledge. Although her overnight transformation into a terrifying female behemoth was certainly no less than a waking nightmare, at the very least she had been offered a mercy in that her track record as a model student was unaffected. And as if to confirm this fact, for the rest of the day, her remaining classes went, miraculously, without any major hiccups at all.

Just like in her first period that morning, all the rooms in which she took lessons that day had a special place assigned to accommodate someone of her size—be it a modified extra-wide or reinforced chair, or occasionally an entire corner of the classroom dedicated to her. But as embarrassing as these accommodations were in the way they exaggerated the size difference between her and her classmates, Georgia did not let that affect her work, which remained as top-notch as ever.

And just like before, none of her classmates once made any comments regarding her humungous size, her absurd proportions, or the unaccountable rippling muscles that covered her from head to toe. Perhaps Rebecca was right, and they really had all become so accustomed to occupying a space with a girl twice their height, and multiple times their weight, that it was simply nothing worth remarking upon anymore.

It was surely not that the other students were unaware of her presence—the way those around her silently and instinctually reacted to her size was apparent at all times. Where once she would have to bump and jostle for space to walk through the busy corridors—avoiding being crushed by a throng of classmates almost all of whom were larger than her—now everyone in the vicinity would actually move out of the way of her by at least a metre or so's radius at any one time. It was presumably a wise decision, Georgia thought. She was who posed the danger to them after all, most certainly not the other way around.

On the same count though, Georgia had to make great efforts on her part to remember that she was no longer the small, insignificant wallflower that she once was. Despite the generous accommodations made for her size around the school, the structure of the building continued to be her mortal enemy. There was not a doorframe tall enough, nor entryway wide enough for her to pass through without serious, concentrated effort. Bathroom stalls were similarly hopeless, and after a failed attempt to get herself in one in between lessons, she decided to just hold it in. Even her personal belongings were not up to the task of handling her newfound power. Almost everything she picked up was rendered tiny and frail in her hands, and only after obliterating half her pencil case's worth of pens during the first half of that day did she decide that it'd be best to keep a conscious eye on her own strength from now on.

However, it was Rebecca's warning about their fellow students' attitudes towards her that proved the most apt. For it was not her enormity or her muscular build that angered all of her classmates but—in the most bizarre twist yet—it was all the very same things she was used to. As an impressively competent student, who was adept in every single subject, and a proud teacher's pet to boot, Georgia had never been shy at answering questions in class. Any opportunity that presented itself where she would be able to demonstrate all of the extra-curricular knowledge she had gained from reading advanced textbooks in her spare time, she would seize it with both hands. And today was no different. Pretending she was back in her normal body, she offered up answers, quips and insights every chance she got. And just like she remembered, her classmates would groan and sneer at her sycophantic attempts to please her teachers every time. Georgia never exactly enjoyed these reactions, but she had no interest in anything else than being top of the class, so it was a small price to pay. Fortunately for her, the teachers were invariably delighted with her and praised her wit and intelligence just as they always had. But at the same time, Rebecca's warning was right: there was definitely a slightly different colour to the scowls that her classmates would shoot her now—as if they thought she was intentionally trying to bask in the knowledge that she was not just untouchable intellectually, but physically as well.

But soon, the other students would have their revenge, because the final period of the day was PE— by far Georgia's least favourite subject. There, the physical difference between her and her fellow classmates would surely be cast in even starker contrast.

The musclemorphosis (part 2)

Georgia did not like being a 12-foot woman. She most certainly did not like being a woman in possession of muscles that were probably powerful enough to crush a car. The day of her transformation so far had been exhausting, and she was more than ready to go back to her normal life. She hoped that at some point she would simply close her eyes for a while and open them to find herself as she remembered. Surely, this all had to end at some point?

But while Georgia longed to be back in her familiar diminutive body again, she certainly could not claim that this was a body she had been very happy about to begin with. In fact, in all aspects other than her academic prowess, Georgia was a deeply insecure person, most of all when it came to her appearance.

Georgia's long-held dissatisfaction over her body was always brought painfully to the surface at precisely times like this—when she and the other girls would have to prepare for PE. Ever since the beginning of high school, Georgia had always dreaded those changing rooms. It was the place where she was forced to confront head-on all of the parts of a woman's body that her own had resoundingly failed to grow. Breasts, bums, and body hair—all proudly on display by her classmates, many of whom she clearly remembered used to look like malnourished little waifs just like her. It often felt like those girls had grown such beautifully feminine bodies just to spite her specifically. It was simply unfair, she thought.

Georgia hadn't always hated her body so much, that had really only begun during high school. She wasn't sure exactly what started it, perhaps it was simply a result of watching all of the other girls in her year blossom into women while she continued to languish as a twiggy 5-foot-tall girl. Whatever it was, ever since then, she had spent many long, painful nights studying the reflection of her naked body in her bedroom mirror. For hours she would stare at herself, trying to will her body to undergo proper puberty. She longed to grow tall like Rebecca, or to develop shapely hips or an hourglass figure like some of the other girls. Even the appearance of breasts seemed to elude her. Her mother was similar in proportions to her in many ways—hinting that a genetic role was at play—but even she had boobs. Why couldn't she grow something there at least? That seemed to be the least that an 18-year-old girl ought to deserve.

So, as Georgia stood in the changing rooms that afternoon, clutching her PE gear over her new—and admittedly quite enormous—pair of breasts, she couldn't help but wonder if this nightmare was all of her own making. Perhaps whomever she had been praying to all those nights in front of the mirror had gotten sick of listening to her pleading for a new body. Perhaps they had decided to give her the ultimate in ironic punishment.

But then again, Georgia had never wanted to have a woman's body solely for her own benefit, she just hated how the other girls looked down on her. She hated the way people always thought she was some infant that Rebecca had been charged to look after. She hated how her clothes were perpetually several sizes too big for her. It was ironic indeed that today she had been presented with almost the exact opposite problem. Although the PE kit Georgia discovered in her locker that afternoon was as comically large as the uniform she had found in her wardrobe earlier that morning, she knew that at best it was going to be quite the snug fit.

But of course, there was no point in resisting the inevitable. Georgia had tried to escape PE many times before, claiming that it interfered with opportunities to study for her real subjects, but Mr Tamworth would not hear of it. So with the lesson about to begin, she begrudgingly undressed herself and changed into her kit. She attempted to shut her eyes through most of it, so as not to have to gaze at all of the unsightly bulges of muscle that had sprouted all across her body and limbs. She'd had a hard enough time even looking at her forearms during her classes, which would flex unsettlingly at every stroke of the pen. Her biceps were just as bad too, slowly tearing their way through the seams of her sleeves as the day had gone on. Georgia couldn't understand how a body like hers was even possible. Her muscles were simply preposterous. Some parts of her, like her thighs and shoulders, were so bulky that was a challenge to move her limbs around fully. And on top of all that were those stupid gigantic breasts. When it was all put together, her body really did make little in the way of physiological sense.

Georgia tried her best to ignore the shape of her naked chest as she pulled her PE shirt over herself as quick as she could. Despite its huge size, the shirt still fell a little short, revealing the bottom half of her abdominal muscles to anyone who stood close enough—and given that her abdomen was situated at a height well above most people's heads, that was presumably going to be the case for everyone. But despite Georgia's shame throughout all of this, once she had completed the process of getting changed, she noticed that none of her classmates were even looking in her direction. Apparently, the only person who seemed at all alarmed that there was a hulking 12-foot-tall creature undressing amongst the other girls, was herself.

Once out in the gymnasium though, her intention to just fade into the background during the lesson was undermined in seconds. Georgia walked up alongside her class to form a semi-circle around the teacher, but when Mr Tamworth spotted her standing tall above the group of students, he stopped mid-sentence. Everyone in the class then turned and stared up at Georgia with identical perplexed expressions. Georgia couldn't figure out what she had done wrong. It was as if she had made some kind of imposition, or perhaps released some flatulence without realising. Only after several awkward exchanges with Mr Tamworth, and a sharp kick in the shin from Rebecca did she realise what the issue was. As it turned out, she was actually forbidden from taking part in the first activity for that day, which was a game of dodgeball.

So with her tail between her legs, Georgia slinked off to the sidelines. She briefly attempted to squat down on one of the foot-high benches there, but when it began to make a worrying cracking sound as she lowered her weight down onto it, she decided that sitting on the floor was a more sensible idea. Watching the other girls play their game of dodgeball, Georgia worried if she had done something in the past to have gotten herself banned from the activity, or if it was just a generalised concern for the other students' safety on the behalf of the teacher. Whichever the case, Georgia did not mind in the end really that she had to spend 20 minutes on her own—if anything she would have liked all of her PE lessons to go this way. She had been such a feeble individual before that most activities or sports would usually lead to some kind of embarrassment or injury on her part. This, of course, was precisely the opposite problem that she faced now, but at least this one had gotten her out of participating.

However, Georgia's peaceful moment by herself on the sidelines did not last long. Soon enough, she was called back to the group when the class moved on to athletics. The girls now had to cycle through a series of exercises at various stations that Mr Tamworth had arranged around the perimeter of the hall. Some involved pieces of apparatus, like jumping over a pommel horse, or giving twenty jabs to a punching bag, whereas others simply demanded that they complete some exercise, like a set of pushups or star jumps. Georgia hated this kind of activity as it usually only confirmed just how hopelessly unfit she was, but to her surprise, once she got going, she discovered that it was all incredibly easy. Some of the exercises, like the push-ups for instance, were so absurdly straightforward in fact that she began to wonder why she despised PE so much. Georgia looked around at the rest of the class as she breezed her way through the stations. Even after 15 minutes of this, many of the other girls had already collapsed into sweaty puddles, but Georgia on the other hand was not even out of breath.

Towards the end of her cycle, she was so pleased with herself that she went straight into her final activity—a go on the punching bag—whilst quite happily ignoring the chorus of shouting that had begun to erupt from the rest of the class behind her. The bag was too low for her to punch standing up, so once down on her knees, she gave it everything she had. A colossal thwack resonated around the gymnasium, followed by a long, stunned silence. Once the dust had cleared, Georgia realised just what an error she had made. She had pummelled the thing so hard that she had demolished the support structure into pieces, created a huge dent in the wall of the gymnasium, and left the bag in an unrecognisable heap on the floor with its interior spilling out everywhere. Suddenly the protestations of the others in the class became clear—this too was presumably another activity she was banned from participating in.

After Georgia had apologetically cleared up the remains of the punching bag she had destroyed, the class moved on to the final activity. It was to be a game of volleyball, and given that she was 4 feet taller than the net itself, the decision to exclude her from this did seem rather logical. So Georgia was given permission to leave the class early—although on reflection it sounded much more like she was being asked to leave. A round of muffled sighs of relief then echoed around the gymnasium as she stooped through the entrance to the changing rooms.

The PE lesson was a learning experience for sure. One thing was clear above everything: these muscles of hers were certainly not just for show. Strangely though, as embarrassing as that had been, Georgia found herself less upset leaving the lesson than she thought she would have been going into it. After taking a moment to collect herself in a mercifully empty shower, while the other girls finished the lesson, she ever managed to arrive at the calmest mental state that she had been in all day.

So with a clear mind, Georgia changed back into her oversized and partially torn school uniform again and tried to reconsider how she felt about all of this. In the back of her mind, she was still half-convinced that this ultimately was just a horrible dream. No one could really be this big, or this strong. She knew that. It was not a scientific possibility. As such, she would wake up tomorrow back in her old, appropriately-proportioned body, and all would be right with the world. But then again, she took the time to remind herself: if that didn't happen, and even in the very worst-case scenario—that she really was going to be stuck as a bulky mountain of a woman for the rest of her life—at least her school work had not suffered as a consequence. That was all that mattered in the end.

So whether it be a dream, or an unexplained freak reality-slipping accident, she knew the best thing for her mental health would be to try and enjoy what small gifts this body of hers afforded her while she still had it. Now that the initial shock had worn off, and she had learned first-hand just how small and fragile everything and everyone around her was, Georgia felt she could allow herself to appreciate that there was something remarkable about  all of this. In a very real sense, she possessed a kind of superpower. Her knowledge of physiology could not account for how the body she now owned was in any way possible, but the strength that it afforded her did seem commensurate with how it appeared from the outside. Her prowess in the PE lesson proved what muscles of this magnitude were capable of, and when put in combination with such a stratospheric stature, it meant that she was quite likely the strongest human being in history, man or woman.

So as she and Rebecca took their usual walk home from school that afternoon, Georgia felt unexpectedly content with her lot. And for the first time, she felt she was ready to discuss in more detail what the life of this gigantic supercharged version of herself had been like.

"Bec, I've been wondering," Georgia asked Rebecca, as the two friends walked through the gates of the town's central park, "what was it like, growing up with me this big? We have always been best friends, right?"

Rebecca giggled and looked up the 6 feet into the air to shoot her friend a kind smile,

"Oh Georgie, of course we're best friends. Don't worry about that. But as I told you, we never really talked about your size. After a while, I just got used to it I guess. If you ask me, that's why we were always good friends, I always just liked you for you. I never really cared that you were so big."

"Oh, okay. Well, that's nice to know." Georgia replied softly. "So maybe all this isn't as big a deal as I thought?"

Rebecca thought to herself for a moment before replying.

"Everything seems perfectly normal to me babe. I mean, don't get me wrong. People have always been super weird about it, like scared of you, not wanting to be around you, stuff like that. But I always knew there was just a sweet girl in there who got dealt a crappy hand in life and ended up with a body that didn't match her personality. But you just dealt with it, carried on being as brilliant as you are in spite of how you looked. And that's what I like about you. You're resilient."

Georgia felt herself glow with pride, even though she had no memory of what it was she was being praised for.

"Thanks, Bec."

"Don't mention it."

The pair walked on through the park for a while, taking one of their favourite routes that would lead them through a series of playing fields and then up into a small wooded area.

"But Bec," Georgia continued after thinking for a while, her curiosity rearing its head again, "what was it like, really? I'm still just trying to get used to all this. I'm just so huge. It doesn't seem possible. How did I get like this?"

Rebecca laughed,

"Babe, come on! I don't know how to answer that. You're just... you, I guess."

"But I don't get it. It's not a real body, surely?" Georgia mumbled, prodding at parts of her chunky arms and bulging chest, "I don't even know what to do with all of this."

"Hey is this why you're not wearing a bra today?" Rebecca asked, her tongue sticking out of her mouth slightly.

"What? How can you tell?"

"Um, well Georgie, you're not exactly a flat-chested girl."

"Ohhh, God." Georgia groaned defeatedly, "I can't do this Bec. How is this even possible? And how come you're so used to it? I would have thought people would be running screaming at the mere sight of me. I know I would."

But to that, Rebecca just shrugged,

"You're Georgia the Giant, everyone knows that. I mean—sorry, usually I would never use that name, people haven't called you that to your face for a long time. But my point is that you've been this, uh, huge presence in our lives for so long that I think people just accept you for it now. I mean, sure, whenever we visit some other town, you give everyone quite the shock, but I always thought you didn't really like travelling for exactly that reason."

"I guess so," Georgia replied in a quiet voice.

Some of what Rebecca was saying did ring true in Georgia's mind. She had never liked travelling very much, but this was not on account of being too big but rather, in a sense, too small. She was a painfully nervous individual at the best of times. Leaving her small country town, or really going to any unfamiliar environment usually put her in such a state of anxiety that she almost couldn't function. Georgia's body may have transformed completely, but she still knew that deep down those fears remained.

Georgia now wished to discern what else was similar about this version of her.

"But what am I like normally? Do I... do stuff? I must work out all the time to look like this, right?"

Rebecca laughed again, more sarcastically this time.

"You'd think so, huh? But nope, not that I've ever seen,"

"What about in PE, all those activities?"

"Oh that. Well, that was quite something, I'll give you that. But no, that was a first. Normally you just sit those out. That's why Mr Tamworth was so keen to get rid of you. I don't think we've ever seen you do that before. You never do anything physical, Georgia."

"What about sports?"

"You? Sports?" Rebecca suddenly sounded cross, "I've been trying to get you to join basketball for years! They even ask you to join the boy's team every few months. But you've never once entertained the thought. Always say it'll distract you from school work. I'll tell you what though, I'm pretty sure the boys are happy for that one—probably bad enough for their self-esteem just seeing you walk around, let alone having you on the court."

Georgia found herself even more puzzled than before.

"So I didn't get these muscles from exercising, and I don't use them either? I must do  something right? Like, I could be a weightlifter, or compete in some bodybuilding competition or something, surely?"

"Georgia!" Bec snorted, "what has gotten into you? Well duh, of course you could, but you're usually so obsessed with school. Besides, the old you was so self-conscious about how you looked. I can't even imagine you getting up on stage in some skimpy bikini and showing off those guns of yours. You used to get nervous if I even brushed up against your bicep by accident or something."

"Oh, I see," Georgia replied before falling into another thoughtful silence.

As the two friends continued their stroll through the park, after a while Georgia couldn't help but take notice of the way Rebecca was walking. She realised that if she didn't take care to slow herself down, she would end up pulling ahead of Rebecca faster than the girl could keep up. This was a marked change from what she remembered. Rebecca was so tall and long-legged that it was usually Georgia who would have to ask her to slow down.

"Do we always walk this slowly?" Georgia remarked.

"I'm trying my best!" Rebecca replied, obviously trying to hide how out of breath she was, "It's not easy to keep up with a girl with legs longer than your entire body you know."

Georgia found herself laughing despite herself, and Rebecca too, sensing her friend's mood lifting at last, joined her. But a few moments later, it happened again.

"This makes no sense!" Georgia proclaimed, turning to stare down at her diminutive friend panting heavily by her feet, "why don't I just carry you?"

"What? Seriously? Y-you actually want to...?"

"Sure, why not? It would be easier for both of us, right?"

Rebecca looked up at Georgia with wide, almost fearful eyes, before lifting up her arms into the air like a toddler and replying,

"Uh, well if you sure. Go ahead."

With a brief nod to confirm her intentions, Georgia crouched down and placed each of her massive hands as delicately as she could around her friend's skinny body.

"Holy sh—," Rebecca gasped, as she felt the hands clench down around her ribcage. Each of Georgia's hands was almost the length and width of the girl's torso and likely strong enough to squish it like the thorax of an insect if she so desired. But with Rebecca's body firmly in her hands, Georgia then lifted her effortlessly onto her shoulders. Once stabilised, Rebecca wrapped her skinny legs around Goergia's neck and grabbed a few locks of blond hair in her fists for extra support.

"Why did you hesitate?" Georgia asked as she set her body into motion, at last at a comfortable speed. "Have I never picked you up before?"

"Well no," Bec replied from above her head, a slight tremble interrupting her speech with every step Georgia took, "Not since we were kids, I mean. You were always about twice my height and who knows how much stronger than me, but after starting high school I think you'd just gotten uncomfortable showing it. It's amazing though, I've missed this so much. Are you sure you don't mind?"

"Not at all, it's weird really, you don't weigh anything at all."

"Hah! I don't expect I do. Have you seen the size of you!?"

Rebecca yelled in response, to which the both of them laughed in unison.

Now that she was permitted the full speed afforded by the great tree trunks that were her legs, Georgia found that she was able to race through the park at a pace that surprised even her. She cleared the central playing fields in thirty seconds flat, and quickly reached the wooded trail that would lead them out to the other side of the park. As she sped around the winding paths, she noticed that she needed to be mindful of low-hanging branches, both for Rebecca's sake and her own. The momentum she now possessed at her full walking pace also took some getting used to. On more than one occasion when taking a corner a touch too fast, she almost slid into the verges of bushes that bordered the path.

The thing she had been most worried about though was other people. But thankfully, since she could be spotted from so far away, all of the other walkers they passed along the way gave her and her passenger the space they needed to pass. Georgia found herself once again amazed at how little the locals paid her any mind. It seemed that the presence of a timid neighbourhood giantess was known to the townsfolk well beyond the school grounds. She passed the old retired church master, a friendly librarian who used to let her take out books if she forgot her library card, and a group of work friends of her mother's out for an afternoon stroll. All of them offered her a kindly wave and a hello as she stampeded past, just as they would have done back in her old body. In fact, the only thing they seemed surprised about was the fact that she was now carrying her best friend atop her shoulders. This seemed to confirm what Rebecca had suggested—that as huge as she was, outward displays of her size and strength were not something she was known for.

Finally, they neared the end of the wooded section, and the far side of the park. Rebecca's street would be found beyond. But as Georgia stepped through the gates and onto the road she had walked down with Rebecca countless times after school, she suddenly remembered something important to her. So consumed by everything that had happened so far, that it had not once crossed her mind who would be present at Rebecca's house that afternoon: Tristan was home.

Tristan was Rebecca's older brother, a likeable chap all things considered, but especially so as far as Georgia was concerned. It was a poorly kept secret that Tristan had long been the object of her affection. And while Georgia would always be the one to claim that she had little interest in something as trivial as a teenage romance, she had to admit to herself at least that what she felt for Tristan was something a great deal more than trivial (the kinds of steamy private dreams that the boy would often show up in were enough to tell her that). Sadly though, at two years her senior, Tristan was a university student now, studying a few towns over. As a result their interactions had become less frequent than she had enjoyed when they were younger. This ought to have cured her of those occasional intrustive thoughts she would sometimes have about Tristan, but unfortunately Georgia had found that her fondness for the boy had only intensified in his absence.

Although the two of them had never shared any moments together that could have been described in any intimate terms, Georgia had always harboured suspicions that some of what she felt for Tristan might have been reciprocated. They had always shared a studious nature—an intellect and maturity beyond their years. She loved that Tristan could see that in her, where the other boys at school, and even Rebecca to some extent, did not. But even then, she bore no serious hopes that Tristan's view of her went anywhere beyond a mere appreciation for her work ethic and intelligence. In the past few years, Tristan had blossomed into a dashing, tall, and extremely handsome young man. All the while Georgia's own body had scorned her by failing in its own duty to develop into that of a woman's. Now at university, Tristan would surely have no interest in a fully-grown 18-year-old girl who still looked like a little kid, she thought. That, of course, was no longer a relevant issue in her current form, but in its place was perhaps an even more dire one.

Nevertheless, it mattered little what Tristan would think of Georgia's new appearance because there was always another obstacle between her and what could have been. Rebecca may not have been the best student academically, but she was undoubtedly extremely sharp when it came to reading people—and Georgia's fondness for her older brother had not escaped her notice. What's more, Rebecca was also not shy about expressing her displeasure about the idea that there might be something between them. She tolerated their conversations while at home together, but any attempts Georgia had made to spend time alone with Tristan had been ritually overruled.

So as Georgia carried Rebecca towards the siblings' house that afternoon, she felt her mind become ensnared in a fresh bundle of anxiety. New worries entered her thoughts from all angles about what her and Tristan's relationship would be like in this parallel world. It was certain, she thought, that there was not even a glimmer of a chance now that he would want to have anything to do romantically with a giant creature like her. But at the very least she hoped he had not dismissed her as a friend on those grounds too.

"So Bec," Georgia began when they were only a few doors away from Rebecca's house, "how is your brother, he's home from college at the moment, right?"

Rebecca's grip seemed to tighten around her hair at that question.

"Yes. Why do you ask?" She replied suspiciously.

"I'm just wondering, you know... it's just that, I..."

"Fancy him? Yes Georgia, I know. It's no big secret that you have a crush on my brother. And you remember my feelings about that I hope?"

Georgia grumbled silently to herself. At least that much was the same, she thought. She considered probing further but Rebeca interrupted her thought before she had the chance.

"And if you're wondering if my brother fancies you too—in this universe, I mean—don't even bother. Honestly, you're so predictable Georgia."

There was a long pause before Georgia finally replied,

"Well, do we get on at least?"

Rebecca tugged sharply on her hair as if she were a disobedient horse.

"Enough! I don't know what my brother is like back in your other universe, the one where you claim you were small—God, I seriously cannot even imagine that—but yes, in this one he does. Not that he's ever admitted it, mind you, but well... from his behaviour we can sort of guess, can't we? And no, don't even think about it. I forbid it."

"What do you mean?" Georgia replied innocently, "what sort of behaviour?"

"Ugh. Right," Rebecca spat, "I guess you wouldn't know... well he's gotten really into the gym in the last few years. He's been going 5 times a week to lift weights, drinking all this protein powder, and raw eggs and stuff too, watching these videos online about how to gain muscle. I mean, it's all hopeless obviously. It's not in our genes, look at me for example, we're built to be skinny beanpoles with no meat on us at all. He still looks like a scarecrow, only now he has these tiny little morsels on his arms that he calls biceps."

Georgia tried to imagine it. She had always loved how tall and lanky Tristan was, and the idea he could be trying to get buff too did make her feel slightly giddy. That was until she recalled how implausibly enormous she herself was now, and she became depressed again.

"Oh, I see, and why is he doing all that? Has he got a girlfriend?"

"Ugh, get a grip Georgia. No. He's doing it for you I reckon, he thinks it'll impress you. He asks me what your gym routine is sometimes. He ought to have known you long enough to know you don't even have to try to get your muscles, but he just denies it."

Georgia pondered this troubling thought for a while, but before she could arrive at a conclusion, they had reached Rebecca's house. Being almost four feet taller than the door now, she thought it sensible to allow Rebecca to disembark from her shoulders so that they could both get in. But as she was raising her arms to retrieve her friend, suddenly someone shouted at them from around the side of the house,

"Hey! What's all this? I want a go!"

Georgia recognised the voice as that of Tristan before she spotted him a few moments later emerging from around the corner. Georgia felt her stomach perform a little somersault at the sight of him. He was in his usual attire, consisting of dark jeans and a plaid shirt. He had his sleeves rolled up in that characteristic way of his, that always made him look like he was in the middle of some task that made use of his hands. She tried to spot the new muscles he supposedly now possessed, but all she could see was that his limber forearms looked slightly veinier than usual. Nevertheless, Tristan was still his same handsome self: long legs, dark hair, tanned skin and attractive features—all a little too resemblant of Rebecca if she was being honest, but she'd always loved the way he looked regardless. Still, what struck her most of all was how the 6'3'' boy that she had been so used to longingly gazing upwards at, now looked so very small down beneath her.

"I saw you coming over the hedge," Tristan continued enthusiastically, looking directly up towards where Georgia's head and his sister were, "since when do you give rides Georgie?"

"Since today." Rebecca began, answering for her, "It's a long story. Don't even ask."

"Righto, well can I have a go then?"

"No you may not," Rebecca spat back before Georgia could even open her mouth.

In truth, she wouldn't really have minded giving Tristan a lift too. She may even have enjoyed it, the feeling of his spindly legs dangling around her thick neck. Although when she considered it in more detail, the thought of physically overpowering the boy like that did inspire an odd feeling inside her, one that she did not know quite how to place.

As Georgia crouched down and headed towards the front door, something in the way that Rebecca dug her heels to her collar bones told her that this was yet another thing she was forbidden from doing. She then noticed that Tristan had walked off down the side passage of the house, so she followed suit. The passage, which had never struck her as particularly narrow, proved a challenge in itself. But after some careful shoving of her body between the fence and the wall of the house, she was eventually able to squeeze herself through and made it out into the back garden.

The afternoon was warm and pleasant now that the morning's rainclouds had cleared, so the three of them sat around on the grass chatting. With the exception of her elevated height above the other two, it all felt remarkably normal. It was just like all the times the trio had sat around like this in the past. At one point the siblings' mother appeared from the house with two glasses of chilled lemonade, which she passed to her children. Georgia briefly felt a flush of disappointment when it appeared she was not to be offered a glass herself, but only moments later the mother reappeared from inside the house with a full pitcher's worth just for her. The size of her portion was embarrassingly large, but not wanting to seem ungrateful, Georgia let out a feeble "thank you" and accepted the kindness.

The conversation between the three of them that afternoon was remarkably like it had always been as well. Georgia was never very chatty at the best of times, and especially not when Tristan was around, so that much was the same. It made no matter though, she was always quite content to watch the two siblings squabble with each other. Their playful arguing was entertaining as always, but Georgia could sense from Rebecca's demeanour and her watchful eye, that she was being more cautious over what she said than usual. This was likely on account of the day's dilemma—which presumably must have been as confusing for Rebecca as Georgia herself—but it did seem as though part of it was to ensure that Georgia knew her warning about Tristan was still in place. Still, for the most part, Georgia felt herself relax again, safe in the knowledge that things maybe weren't as different as they had seemed at first. This body would take some getting used to, that she was certain of, but at least her two favourite people didn't seem to mind it all that much.

As the siblings continued to bicker with one another over some irrelevant slight one thought the other had made, Georgia felt herself slip into a daydream. Even sitting cross-legged on the floor, she was still so high up above the pair of them that it was all too easy for her to disconnect from the conversation. It was only when her eyes drifted dazedly over to Tristan once again did she spot that he was staring back up at her.

"So how's school, Georgie?" He asked with a chipper grin.

"Oh. Uh, it's okay, yeah." She replied, hesitantly, hearing the quiver in her voice that often made an appearance whenever she spoke to Tristan directly.

"She's being modest, as you know," Rebecca finished on her behalf, "our little genius aced another test today."

"As per usual," Tristan continued, turning back to Georgia, "so when's that big essay presentation thing happening?"

"Oh my God!" Georgia exclaimed, "that's tomorrow, I almost forgot."

Georgia's stomach dropped. How could she possibly have forgotten about that of all things? Somehow throughout all of the mania of that day, it had completely slipped her mind that her big presentation in front of the school was tomorrow.

The planned event was in celebration of a regional essay-writing competition. It was one which Georgia had—unsurprisingly—won. But instead of simply sending her the award, the school had decided to put on an event where she, and a handful of other students who had been runners-up, would have the opportunity to recite their essays during morning assembly. Although her submission received glowing comments from the judges, Georgia did not feel especially proud of it. She considered it a rather run-of-the-mill discussion of the moral issues surrounding fast fashion. But Mrs Lovelock especially was keen to hear her present it out loud, so for some stupid reason, perhaps out of sheer ego, Georgia had agreed to do it.

While Georgia excelled at almost every academic pursuit she applied herself to, the concept of public speaking was one of the only things that truly frightened her. In a sense, it was a testament to how totally her bodily transformation had been occupying her mind, that the presentation—which she had been in a state of near-debilitating anxiety about for weeks—had just fallen into insignificance in comparison. In fairness, she thought, it was still so surprising to her just how similar everything about this new world was. It was a miracle that even while growing up as this towering monstrosity of a teenage girl she had still experienced—from what she could surmise—an almost identical life in every other respect. Even down to the day-to-day details, like her winning the essay competition and agreeing to present that winning entry tomorrow. It was all the same.

With this new horrifying revelation now lodged in her mind, Georgia knew it was time to head home to study. So she bid her friends goodbye and embarked on the walk home. What was usually a 15-minute stroll she finished in record time thanks to her newly elongated gate, and before she knew it she was back in her kitchen for dinner. It was a good thing too as her appetite was one thing that was quite decidedly different about her new self. Amazingly it was even powerful enough to temporarily distract her from the presentation. So she crouched herself down at the dinner table, on the chair that had its legs both reinforced and shortened in half for her, and tucked into her food.

Her sensibly-sized mother, father, and brother all sat before their own sensibly-sized meals consisting of small helpings of lasagna and a little pile of salad. But Georgia, on the other hand, had kindly been offered to finish the entirety of what remained in the casserole dish—a portion of lasagna that likely could have fed a further 8 people—as well as a giant serving bowl full of a separate salad prepared just for her. Although in the moment she was glad to be ridding herself of another painful bout of hunger, she found the frequent nervous glances from her older brother to be unsettling. It was especially embarrassing when she finished this gigantic meal several minutes before the rest of the family and had to put up with them watching her cramming her body back up the staircase.

Once in her bedroom again, Georgia tried her best to decompress. A thousand questions still rattled through her mind, but she knew she could not put off her presentation any longer. For that very next morning, she would have to stand in front of the school, in this new body of hers, and read aloud her essay. The copy of it that she discovered in one of her desk drawers confirmed her suspicions: the essay was on exactly the same subject that she remembered writing about—a diatribe on how people these days must take more efforts to reject cheap, mass-produced clothing, and be mindful of the ethical and environmental impacts of the industry. From anyone else's mouth, it would have been a compelling, if somewhat righteous, piece of argumentative writing. Unfortunately, it was particularly incongruous coming from the woman that Georgia now was, given that she surely possessed a body that would only ever fit into custom-made clothing. But as non-sensical as it seemed, there it was, printed out in A4 paper before her: the essay, word-for-word as she had written it back in her old body. And this too was the essay that had apparently won her the competition it seemed, despite it having been penned by a 12-foot, musclebound girl.

So for the rest of that evening, Georgia decided to cast an eye back over the text, annotating where she would pause, and practising out loud how she would say certain passages. It was a struggle, as she still found the sonority of her womanly voice to be foreign and a little too loud, but she found a rhythm to it eventually.

After a few runs through, it had become dark outside, and she found her eyes growing weary. So Georgia put the essay away in her rucksack and collapsed down onto her grossly undersized mattress to rest at last. Perhaps, she thought to herself as she drifted off to sleep, that all this would have gone away come the morning. Perhaps all that panicking was pointless. It could all still be a dream after all.

***

The next morning Georgia Samson awoke from troubled dreams to the sound of her familiar alarm clock resonating in an unfamiliar setting. Upon opening her eyes and regaining her sight, she realised she was not where she had fallen asleep the night before. She did recognise where she was though—somehow, in the middle of the night, someone had transported her from her bedroom into her family's garage. But it wasn't the garage as she remembered it. Her father's car was gone, and all of his tools and shelves had been replaced by belongings of hers. On the floor were three queen-sized mattresses placed end-to-end, that she was presently lying on. In a state of panic, Georgia lifted herself to her feet without thinking and promptly slammed her back into the hard concrete roof of the garage. It was clear what had happened: she had grown. Again.

The musclemorphosis (part 3)

"My essay! How am I supposed to present like this?" Georgia screamed as she clambered out of the garage. The space felt like a prison, far, far smaller than she had any memory of it being. It was only once she was outside in the front driveway that she was able to take stock of why the garage had seemed so cramped. Horrifyingly, it did indeed seem as though she had suffered yet another transformation—the second in so many days. In many ways, what she saw then was much the same as before. She was clearly still inhumanly muscular and inconceivably tall, but there was something very, very different about the experience of inhabiting this body compared to the previous one. Above all, she was struck by the sensation that everything around her had shrunk.

Inspecting the body that lay draped in a massive pink sheet that she presumed was some form of rudimentary gown, Georgia felt the tears begin to well up again. She had gone to bed assuming that the nightmare would be over. She was supposed to go back to normal, not double in size. Yet it was not just her height that had increased. Upon closer inspection, she noticed that her muscles had grown slightly as well, with notable additions to the width of her chest, the bulkiness of her upper arms, and the prominence of her trapezoids. Her unaccountably large breasts had also inflated even more and hung a shade further down her chest thanks to their increased weight.

What was abundantly clear above all though was just how preposterously large she had become. It was a marked change from her previous stratospheric height, which she had barely even had enough time to grow accustomed to yesterday. Clearly, she had bigger problems to deal with now.

Georgia tried to calculate just how drastic this increase in size had been. Back in her previous 12-foot body, the front door of her house had cleared little more than her waist. That same door was now around the height of her knee. She stood well above the height of second-floor windows, and while she was not taller than the house itself, she gauged that she could probably reach up to grab the chimney stack if she so wished. As a result, there was no longer even a faint hope that Georgia might have been able to re-enter her home. It was no wonder really why she had woken up in a crumpled configuration inside the garage that morning.

If yesterday's events were anything to go by it was likely that Georgia had slipped into yet another parallel realm—one in which all the pernicious mechanisms of cosmic chance had conspired to render the details of her life exactly the same, with the exception of her gargantuan size. What was now most troubling of all, however, was the fact that this freak Universe-altering event had taken place two days in a row. Georgia had apparently been thrust onto a tortuous rollercoaster of transformation that had seen her explode in size,  all the while the world around her remained the same. What was worse was that now she could not even say if it would end any time soon.

Georgia had spent several minutes now standing outside of her home half-dressed, unsure what to do with herself. She lingered there, fiddling nervously with her fingers until finally, something happened. Down by her feet, the front door opened and her brother walked out. Standing slightly below the height of her knee, his body appeared frighteningly small in comparison to her. Even a single one of her massive feet probably outweighed him now. He craned his neck up towards her, using his hand to block the morning sun from his eyes.

"Mum says to hurry up or you'll be late for your thing, she's put breakfast outside for you."

He remarked disinterestedly, before promptly turning away again before she could respond. Georgia was shocked by how matter-of-factly he had spoken to her. He had barely even reacted to her presence in fact, as if finding a gigantic woman in pyjamas standing out in his driveway one morning was nothing new. It seemed that whatever game he was playing on his phone was far more interesting than that anyway.

Georgia was still too shell-shocked to coax any more information out of her brother, but the vague gesture that he had made as he went back inside seemed to imply that her breakfast was in the garden. So Georgia squeezed herself sideways in between her house and the neighbour's and tried to push her way through to the back garden. It was a mightily tight fit, despite the fact that the space was supposed to be wide enough for several peoeple to walk down. Georgia felt a little too intimately the way her breasts scraped against the wall of her house—occasionally with sections of flesh entering open windows on the second floor as she slid past. Down below, her solid buttocks were probably doing the same thing to her neighbour's house too, but she chose not to dwell on that troubling image too much.

Once in the garden, she spotted the preparations that had presumably been made in anticipation of her arrival. The thing she spotted immediately was what had been laid out across the patio table: five or six platters, all loaded high with breakfast food were sitting there letting off enticing clouds of steam. At first, it looked like the table could have been prepared to host an entire party's worth of people, but Georgia soon came to the painful realisation that most likely all of that was for her. This vast quantity of food was apparently what a monumental beast such as herself needed for a morning's sustenance.

Georgia could not deny though that the offerings on the table did look incredible. They had all of the hallmarks of her mother's best cooking, the sort of effort she would usually only roll out when they had company over. Placing her colossal body down on the ground beside the table, she inspected the food up close and breathed in the aromas. It included a pile of five entire loaves of crusty bread, a large platter stacked high with what must have been at least three packets of bacon, an uncountable stack of thick American-style pancakes with syrup drizzled over them, and two dozen hard-boiled eggs all neatly de-shelled and arranged in a bowl. Finally, off to one side, was a large pile of unprepared and unsorted vegetables, presumably some kind of afterthought to fill up whatever space remained after she had consumed the other mountains of food. And of course, to wash it down were two enormous water-cooler bottles filled with approximately two gallons of milk. Georgia felt her stomach growl at the sight of it all lying there, and although the sheer quantity of food her mother had prepared for her was deeply embarrassing, she was not strong enough to stop herself from immediately tucking in.

As she devoured the food, Georgia sensed her nerves relax somewhat thanks to the dissipation of her hunger at last. But despite the fact that the food was delicious and was exactly what she needed, a part of her mind was still on edge. She was wary of what her mother and father would be thinking about all of this—how they would feel watching their daughter behave like such a glutton. The meal was undoubtedly satisfying, but so very shameful at the same time. She was ashamed most of all about the fact that, despite the absurd quantity of food, she knew it would barely be enough to fill her up. And it must have cost an absolute fortune to boot. Still, Georgia was unable to stop. Every primal urge coursing through her giant body forced her to eat, and to keep eating until she was done. To her surprise though, this point of satiation—either by coincidence, or more likely past experience on her mother's part—came exactly when she poured the final gulp of milk into her mouth.

Having vanished the smorgasbord of breakfast food from existence, and enjoying a new sense of clarity that had come from ridding herself of hunger, Georgia decided to investigate what else had been laid across the garden table for her. She realised then that the large reams of fabric that she had assumed were tablecloths or bedsheets, were actually in the colours of her school uniform. Lifting up the large white sheet, she watched it unravel into the largest button-down blouse she had ever seen in her life. Similarly, the piece of heavy tartan fabric lying underneath it, upon closer inspection, was actually a skirt—completing her familiar school uniform, only in a size fit for a bonafide giant.

Without many options for privacy at her current size, Georgia presumed that her mother intended for her to get changed where she was. So she whipped off the pink sheet and got to work as quickly as she could before the neighbours spotted the naked musclewoman getting changed in the back garden. Just like the day prior, Georgia found the grotesque bulges of hard muscle that covered her from head to toe to be a challenge to look at for too long. Worst of all though were the breasts, those two engorged sacks of meat that hung heavy and pendulously from her chest. It was obvious, even to Georgia, that a woman as large-chested as her ought to be seen in a brassiere—if she considered herself a person with any sense of decency. She had realised that much yesterday after the comments from Rebecca. She had been shocked that the girl had noticed that she wasn't wearing a bra so quickly, but when she saw the reflection of her chest in a mirror later that day, she realised that it did not take much detective work to spot the two-inch long nipples sprouting visibly from beneath her blouse.

So Georgia had made the resolution to herself before bed last night: when she next got dressed for school, she would make an effort to figure out how to put on her bra. But instead, that morning, she searched through all of the clothes that had been offered to her, and there was not a single item of underwear in sight. In a way, she felt relieved about this fact, as she still had no idea how such a garment even functioned, but the implication of this somehow made her feel even worse. Really it should have been obvious from the beginning that this version of her could not possibly own a bra: she had outgrown all forms of lingerie in existence.

The blouse was passable, albeit a noticeably worse fit than yesterday— the sleeves were again unable to cover most of her forearms, and the top two buttons were impossible to fasten due to the volume of her breasts. The skirt too, while being just about wide enough to get around her hips, was definitely shorter than the headmistress would have deemed acceptable under normal circumstances.

Georgia then felt a desire to inspect her reflection, to confirm everything that she was able to cover up was indeed covered. A mirror was obviously not on the cards, so the only other alternatives were the windows of her home. Unfortunately, these did not offer much in the way of a complete reflection: the second-floor window of her old bedroom only gave her a view of her chest and compressed bosom, while the kitchen window down below reflected only the lower half of her legs. It was not ideal, but by sequentially crouching to various different heights, Georgia was eventually able to take it all in and inspect the entirety of her body.

Looking at sections of herself one after the other like that, she felt overcome by just what a terrifying collection of overgrown parts her body now consisted of. She scarcely even looked like a human being anymore. It was only the exaggerated hourglass outline of her figure—created by her heavy chest and muscular buttocks, in comparison to her relatively narrow waist—that gave her body a somewhat feminine quality despite its enormity. Otherwise, her physique was monstrous. She most certainly would not have believed it was her, if not for her face—her familiar shoulder-length blonde hair, rosy freckled cheeks and the slight pudginess around her jaw from years of wearing braces, somehow all that remained incongruously atop her shoulders. It was a face that in no way imaginable belonged to the body it was attached to.

Confident that she was now at the very least fully clothed, the only outstanding problem was that she had no footwear to speak of. At first, this presented a problem, but she then cast her mind back to the slip-ons she had suffered through wearing the day before. Even at their ridiculous size they were not really big enough for her, and had badly restricted the blood flow to her toes by the evening. So perhaps it was little wonder then why no shoes had been laid out for her today. It seemed like a flagrant violation of her school's uniform code, but what else was she to do? Her feet looked to be easily 50 inches in length, and much too wide for any realistic shoes. And she couldn't exactly just fashion a pair of flip-flops from the bonnets of two cars.

But as Georgia searched the garden for some kind of solution for her lack of footwear, she began to appreciate that it was really not so bad being barefoot outside. While she may have been walking on the hard, uneven floor, she experienced surprisingly little discomfort from it. In fact, unless she intentionally placed her weight down on a ledge or divot in the ground, the world felt almost soft and pillowy underfoot. It was as if growing to such a scale had freed her of the need for footwear altogether.

A short while later, her mother appeared at last, waving a tea towel out of the kitchen window to try to catch the attention of her gigantic daughter.

"Come on Georgie, you don't want to be late for your presentation," she called out at the top of her voice.

Georgia forced a smile so as to not let on the minor dilemma of having been—for the second day running—transported into a freakish body from a parallel world,

"I am ready, mother." She replied, straightening the hem of her blouse to prove it.

"So off you go then!" Her mother called back, shooing her in the direction of the rear gate of the garden. Georgia furrowed her brow.

"Well, aren't you going to drive me?" She asked, but for some reason this question caused her mother to howl with laughter.

"Don't be daft darling, now off you trot!" She shouted, before retreating indoors again, shutting the window behind her.

And that was that, she supposed: apparently she was walking to school now.

Perhaps this too should have been obvious from the beginning. What sort of vehicle could realistically contain her? Georgia had always enjoyed her lifts to school, so for a brief moment she felt a little embittered by her mother's refusal to take her. But once she had embarked on the journey, her mood brightened considerably. She began to wonder why she had never thought to walk to school before. It really was not that far, all things considered. After the slight awkwardness in getting herself through a few of the more narrow streets close to her house, once she had made it out onto the main road, the journey was a breeze. Little more than 5 minutes had gone past before she spotted the black iron fence of the school in the distance.

Admittedly, there were things about life at such a dizzying height that made the journey a lot easier than before. Many obstacles that pedestrians would encounter while out and about, were all but irrelevant for someone of her stature. There was no need to step around cars anymore for instance, or even wait to cross the road, as long as it was not too busy. Her legs were more than long enough now that a single step sufficed to clear two lanes of traffic at once. She did this a few times on her walk, before figuring out a little too late the reason why a couple sitting in an open-topped car had started to whoop at her as she did. Apparently it had completely escaped her thoughts that she was not wearing any underwear beneath her skirt. From then on she saw it fit to use the fabric of the skirt to cover that part of herself whenever it looked like someone would be about to find themselves in between her legs for whatever reason. Unfortunately, as Georgia soon discovered while walking down the main road towards the school, this was something that occurred with worrying frequency.

While cars no longer posed any great obstacle to her, Georgia knew that she had to expressly remind herself as often as possible about the potential fragility of her fellow pedestrians. They all scurried around down below like small rodents, darting away from underneath her soles just in time to avoid her bare feet colliding with the pavement. From a vantage point so high up it was a struggle to keep track of them all down there. Occasionally people would appear from beneath bus stops, or from around corners too fast for her to react. Sometimes people would seem to appear from nowhere, and Georgia would only later realise that they had presumably just been obscured by the outward swell of her own breasts. Often they would just be trying to walk past her, simply trying to get to wherever they were going while putting up with a giantess taking up the majority of the road. Allowing the people beneath her to weave in and out of her legs like that, Georgia again wondered if it was really acceptable that she be walking around without anything in the way of underwear.

Yet miraculously, none of that seemed to matter. Just like with her fellow students the day before, the pedestrians did not even really react much to her presence at all. It was like living amongst a giantess had become second nature to them. They all knew exactly how to walk alongside her—side-stepping in the right direction at just the right time so as to not be crushed underfoot. It was amazing how adept almost every pedestrian she encountered was at doing this, but it still did not make it any easier to navigate around. Georgia could not stop thinking about just how terribly small and fragile they all were in comparison to her now. It was nice that they seemed to know how to deal with her size, but surely it would take little more than one misplaced step, and someone who was not keeping enough of an eye out, for them to be squashed flat like a spider.

As she continued onwards towards the school, Georgia decided that she ought to try and figure out precisely how tall she had grown. Rebecca had confirmed that her height yesterday was in the region of 12 feet, but she was clearly well beyond that now, perhaps even double it. She possessed a clear view into the second-floor windows of most of the semi-detached suburban houses she passed. Her height was also in excess of most of the small trees that lined the streets of her town. Only the largest of the oak trees that verged the outskirts of the park did she still need to look up to. Perhaps the most remarkable comparison of all though was with the double-decker buses. Those humungous vehicles that she'd often enjoyed riding in and looking out over the road from above, now only came up to the height of her breasts. Georgia noticed, as she passed one along her way, that her hips and shoulders were actually wider than the bus too. She probably could have comfortably mounted one of them and used it to skate herself down to school if she'd really wanted.

The final confirmation—as if it was even needed by this point—that Georgia was truly a giant, came when she reached the school. Those imposing black spikes, which had looked so terrifyingly high back on her first day of school, were now situated comfortably below her waist. On any normal day, Georgia would have walked all the way around the corner to reach the main gates, but from the looks of things, that effort was no longer needed. She was already here after all, so she saw no reason not to simply step right over the fence and walk inside.

Perhaps it was still the shock of having experienced so much rapid, incomprehensible change, or perhaps it was simply her desire not to arrive late for her big presentation, but so far Georgia had impressed herself with how well she was dealing with everything. She still felt hopelessly confused and deeply ashamed of her body of course, but taking in the fresh air during her walk to school, she began to feel like some kind of survival instinct was kicking in at last. She took the time to remind herself that at least her mind was sharp, and her body healthy, functioning—and most of all, strong. This troublesome issue about her nightly transformations would have to wait for the time being. At least until she had finished her presentation that is. However, there was one final mission she had to complete before heading to the auditorium, and that was to find Rebecca.

It was a Tuesday morning, so Rebecca was presumably already inside the school somewhere— chatting to the other basketball players after morning practice, or enjoying a quick snack from the vending machine like she liked to do. Unfortunately, the interior of the school was now quite evidently off-limits. While she knew that the gymnasium, and perhaps a couple of the larger halls might have been large enough to contain her, the problem was that none of the doors to the building were anywhere near wide enough to get her shoulders through. And everyone in the school clearly appreciated this fact as well. In fact, even the mere act of her approaching the front entrance seemed to be creating an air of unease amongst all of other  students down at her feet. The teachers who had been charged to do the morning greetings that day also seemed rather alarmed to see her there—they all shot steely glares up at her that suggested she was not supposed to come so close to this part of the school.

Eventually, though, she spotted her maths teacher Miss Parker appear out of a third-floor window that was almost level with her head, who then called out to her,

"Georgia, what are you doing over here? Go round to the auditorium, they're setting up now."

So she did as she was told. Her usual route to the auditorium was obviously inaccessible, but Georgia recalled that there was a back entrance to the building near the playing fields that led out to a loading bay. This seemed to be where Miss Parker was gesturing towards, so she decided to round the perimeter of the school to find out.

Sure enough, around the corner, Georgia discovered that the high double doors of the auditorium—usually used for loading in stage equipment and set-pieces for plays—had been left wide open in anticipation of her arrival. A few other students, as well as some of her teachers, were loitering around outside, walking in and out of the doors and chatting amongst themselves. She spotted Mrs Lovelock standing with them, a small older woman, no taller now than her shin. While Mrs Lovelock was by far her favourite teacher, she was still the one who had originally encouraged Georgia to enter the competition, so in a way, Georgia wondered if she could hold the woman partially responsible for all of this.

When Mrs Lovelock spotted the giantess lumber towards her, the kindly woman smiled and waved.

"There she is! How are you my love—feeling okay about all of this?"

Although she had to shout to be heard all the way down at the ground, Mrs Lovelock still had the same warmth and tenderness in the way she spoke that Georgia had always liked so much about her.

"Not really. Do I have to do it?"

She asked in a feeble—albeit booming—voice. Although her question had sounded like she was trying to get out of doing the presentation, the more pressing issue on her mind was rather how she was supposed to present in her current state.

"Oh don't be silly love, once you get up there the time will fly by. You'll be finished before you know it. This will be good for you, Georgia, I promise."

Georgia wanted to continue to ask more about the logistics of how this would all work, but Mrs Lovelock was suddenly called inside by the headmistress, leaving the nervous giant standing there alone.

Georgia felt a strange sensation come over her then. It was like she was frozen in place—unsure of what to do or where to go. All the while, the tiny doll-like people scampered around at her feet, preparing for the morning's assembly. Occasionally a teacher or another student would glance up at her, but they never stayed for too long. It was like she was a titan carved from rock, a monument that had small but nonzero chance of springing into life at any moment, so was best to steer clear from.

As there was still half an hour before the event would begin, and given that watching the other students do their readings ahead of hers was probably not an option, Georgia determined that she ought to use her time to find Rebecca. And besides, she had been standing there too long now, she couldn't just pretend to be some colossal statue all day.

The central problem really was that she was so far away from everyone. So weighing up her options for a few moments, Georgia decided that the best course of action would be to get down to a lower level. First checking that she would not squish anyone underneath her body, Georgia then lowered herself down on all fours—making sure in the process to gather up some of the fabric of her skirt between her legs so as to cover her indignity. Now down at a much more comfortable height, she was able to crawl towards the loading doors that led to the backstage of the auditorium. She peered through the doors at the hum of activity inside. The feeling of doing so was curious—she was struck by just how much the school reminded her of a dollhouse she used to own when she was a child. The only difference of course was that all the little occupants of that miniature structure were happily wandering around of their own accord.

Just as Georgia's mind was about to drift off into a daydream, she felt a tiny hand touch a muscle on the side of her thigh. For some reason a primal instinct sounded the alarm in her brain that she was under attack, which caused her to recoil and land with an earth-shaking thud on her backside against the auditorium wall.

"Woah. Careful there Georgie, I'm only small remember." Rebecca yelled at her in between laughs, while frantically backing away from the tumbling giantess, "What's up with you? I guess you're nervous huh?"

"Oh, hi Bec. Yes. But not about the presentation." Georgia began, leaning her body closer to where her friend was standing, "Bec, something terrible has happened."

Rebecca brought herself closer in too and stood between Georgia's crossed legs.

"What is it? It's not about all this memory-loss business is it? I thought we had gotten through that? I was thinking that maybe you'd just had some kind of mental blip, on account of all the stress you've put yourself under recently. Are you sure you're okay Georgie?"

"Rebecca..." Georgia whispered, leading down as fas as she could now so that her face was right up beside Rebecca's, "it's happened again."

Pathetically, she felt her tears begin to well up. Rebecca's eyes widened.

"Oh. Um, okay... Wait, what are you getting at exactly? You forgot you were big or something? Or... wait, what do you mean 'happened again'?"

"I grew!" Georgia cried in a muffled voice, the tears now definitely trickling down her cheeks, "It happened again! Overnight, I grew again!"

Rebecca bit down on her lower lip and tried her best to force a sympathetic smile. It was clear to Georgia though that she had long since exhausted her friend's patience for all of her madness.

"Right, I see. Look, just calm down. It's okay. To me you look exactly the same as you did yesterday when you had your little freakout."

This was exactly what she did not want to hear. Georgia knew she had to diagnose this issue more carefully now.

"Wait, Bec, tell me exactly what we did yesterday," she interrupted, sniffing her snot back up into her nose.

Rebecca rubbed her chin.

"Umm, I dunno, we had that English test which you aced. Chemistry, French, PE... we had our little crisis moment out behind the music building while we tried to figure out what was going on with your memory. But after that it was a nice day actually. You let me ride on your shoulders for the first time, and we hung out with Tristan in the garden. Honestly, I thought your mood about everything was better than I'd ever seen. You were acknowledging stuff that we hadn't spoken about in years. You seemed happy!"

It was astounding. Somehow the day that Rebecca had described had gone exactly as she had remembered it. There was just one minor detail that was out of place.

"But that's what I thought too... only, we didn't talk behind the music building, we talked in the bathroom, remember?"

Rebecca tried to stifle a laugh.

"What? A bathroom? Georgie, I haven't seen you inside a regular bathroom since you were like 10 years old."

Of course. Georgia pressed her face into her palms. She wanted to cry more than ever now but just felt too exhausted to even conjure up any more tears.

"Bec," she said defeatedly after a long pause, "how big was I yesterday? Be honest."

Rebecca let out a long sigh.

"Oh bloody hell. Well, Georgia, as far as I, and I guess everyone else around here can tell, you were the exact same size as always. What was it, 22 feet? I don't remember the number exactly. What on Earth is going on with you babe?"

"What's going on, is that this keeps happening!" Georgia lashed out in response. "Yesterday I woke up and I was this huge muscly freak of nature, and none of you seemed to remember me being normal. And today I woke up and... and it's gotten even worse! Look at the size of me, I'm a bloody giant Bec! What am I going to do!? This can't keep happening to me!"

"Shh, shh. Oh, Georgie..." Rebecca answered calmly, "Just please believe me when I tell you that from where I'm standing, you're still the same old you. So just try to relax. Everything is perfectly norm—!"

"Everything is not perfectly normal!" Georgia roared through gritted teeth. "I'm not even a real person anymore! I'm too big to fit inside the building! How can I live like this? What about my grades!?"

But at that, Rebecca could apparently suppress her laughter no longer. Despite the obviously precarious mental state that Georgia was displaying, something about her breakdown was amusing to the girl.

"And why are you laughing at me!?"

"Oh Georgie, I'm sorry, really. It's just what you just said: that is so you. Even with all of this craziness coming out of your mouth, you still only care about one thing, don't you? Well, let me reassure you, babe—you may be a giant, but you're also the smartest girl I've ever met. Guess it's that giant's brain you've got, I dunno."

Absurdly, this news did make her feel a little bit better.

"Really? But... but I can't even pick up a pencil. How do I attend classes like this?"

Rebecca shook her head in exasperation.

"Am I really going to have to jog your memory every morning from now on?"

"Well, apparently so!"

"Fine, fine. Look, don't worry, the school has special pencils for you. They're these things that are as big as baseball bats, I've no idea where they get them from, but whatever. And as far as your classes go, you've got a nice little set up outside the science building—a place where you can kneel down and watch the class through the window. Happy now, my muscly little brainbox?"

Rebecca slapped her playfully on the thigh, causing Georgia to smile beside herself.

"I suppose so."

She replied, silently acknowledging that this information had indeed comforted her far more than it had any right to.

But while it was heartwarming to hear that such generous accommodations had been made for her around the school, Georgia was once again overcome with that pesky feeling of shame when she really thought about what it meant. Like with that humungous breakfast her mother had prepared, had she really forced the school to do all that for her? Had she inflicted her colossal size on the world for so long that all of this was just normal?

"But is that really how it's always been?" Georgia asked Rebecca after she had wiped her tears off of her cheek, "Have I really always been this big? Bec, I swear, two days ago I was tiny, I wasn't even 5 feet tall. The idea of being this size makes no sense to me. How is it possible?"

Rebecca looked away with an expression of total befuddlement, as if the prospect that her friend was once a regular 18-year-old girl was not even fathomable.

"Beats me babe. You'll have to ask your parents about that. Honestly, the idea of a normal-sized Georgia—that, to me, is what sounds impossible. You're a giant. That's just what you are. Get someone to go onto some website for rare genetic disorders and look up 'Samson's gigantism'—spoiler, you're the only recorded case."

"For God's sake!" Georgia cried, looking up to the sky in disbelief, "And that's just it, is it? I'm a giant and everyone just accepts it?"

"Well, not exactly, I can tell you about the queue of people waiting to hire you to do stuff for them if you really want me to. But we're not supposed to tell you about that in case it might upset you. The rest of us have just learned to accept that about you. It always seemed like your school work was the most important thing in your life."

"Well that's good right?" Georgia asked.

She had considered the question to be innocent enough, but Rebecca's mouth twisted into a knot, as if there was something she wanted to say but couldn't.

"I suppose that depends on your perspective."

This final comment from Rebecca gave her pause. Was she a fool for thinking that the primary concern in all of this was whether her school work had suffered? The body she had woken up in was unrecognisable as her own—unrecognisable as a human being even—and yet the one constant was her commitment to being a top student. The fact that a 22-foot-tall  woman not only existed, but also was insistent upon keeping up dutifully with her schoolwork—that, was apparently just something that the people of this world just had to deal with. Did this fact suggest that her academic drive was the truest and most resilient side of herself, or did it merely reflect her stubbornness—an unwillingness perhaps to identify what truly made her special? It was certainly food for thought.

Taking a quiet moment to reflect by herself after Rebecca had walked off to join the audience inside the auditorium, Georgia no longer felt content with the world as she had on the way to school. She had thought the fact that she was still a perfect student would make her happy, but it did not. In fact, it made her want to cry all over again. How could this be the life that she led? Given enough time she might have learned to live in this incomprehensibly enormous body of hers—to take up some new occupation, or at the very least to live somewhere where there was enough space for her to walk around. So why hadn't this version of her done so? From what she could tell, it seemed that at no point in her 18 years of life had she even thought to live a life that was better suited to her size.

Georgia felt hopeless. But the clock marched on, and the assembly had already begun. She had been so consumed by her own inner turmoil that she had already somehow missed the essays of the two runners-up. She spotted then through the open auditorium doors that the headmistress had departed the stage and was wandering through the backstage area towards the open doors. No, she thought, it was too soon for that, surely. She had not even had time to make the requisite preparations in her mind for how she was going to recite her speech. But indeed, it was too late for any of the that. Her headmistress had spotted her sitting cross-legged outside and was coming for her. There was no place to run. It was her turn.

So with a final gulp of self-encouragement, Georgia got up onto all fours and crawled through the backstage area behind her headmistress. She tried her best to put all her stewing anxieties out of the way so that she could spend what little mental energy remained on running through her essay in her mind. Once they had reached the back of the stage, the headmistress ushered her up towards the high velvet curtains, as if herding a ginormous cow to slaughter.

Georgia placed her knees and both hands down on the wooden boards of the steps. Although they made a worrying creaking sound as she lowered her weight onto them, judging from the haphazard fashion that additional supporting boards had been nailed down to the floor, it did seem like the school had made the necessary preparations for her someone of her size.

"Go on, dear, they're all waiting"

Her headmistress whispered encouragingly when she dithered just behind the curtains. There was no turning back now. Georgia parted the curtains and crawled through.

Although she knew she was always going to have to crawl to get up there, Georgia still had half a mind to stand up like a normal performer once she had gotten on stage. Surely the ceiling was tall enough, she thought. But once through the curtains and beginning to erect herself at last, she heard the muttering of the audience fire up immediately. Georgia quickly realised the reason why. Although the auditorium was an impressively tall building by all accounts, there was still no hope that it would allow her to stand up all the way. Georgia managed to erect herself to almost her full height, before she sensed the overhead lighting fast approach. So, like a beaten animal, she crumpled back down to all fours again. It was only logical of course, she really was simply too large for everything now. It was a stupid idea to try and stand and perform. Besides, the microphone she was supposed to speak into was attached to a lecturn far down below her at the front of the sage. Suitable for the height of a normal person perhaps, but for Georgia, it would have  only been useful if she was somehow able to speak from her knee.

So there she was, down on all fours in front of the entire school. She was forced to lean her body so far down to reach the microphone, that her breasts pressed up against the floor of the stage. It was clear that her cleavage from this angle would have been on full display to everyone in the room, but what else could she do? To move to a more appropriate stance would require touching the microphone, and that was something she didn't dare do given that the device was smaller than the tip of one of her fingers. So with no other options, Georgia just got as close as she could and cleared her throat.

Feedback from the microphone reverberated around the room and then died away. She heard her own heavy breathing echo back at her through the speaker monitors on stage. A couple of coughs and a few hushed conversations emanated from random locations in the audience, but apart from that, silence. With every second she did not speak, the tension and her heartbeat only intensified.

So wracked with nerves had Georgia been while crawling on stage, that by all accounts the speech she had prepared two bodies ago should have vanished from her mind. And looking out at the audience then—her fellow students scowling at her with jealousy and disdain, the odd couple of parents from out of town shocked by the monstrous girl who had just appeared on stage, and lastly her teachers with their expressions a mixture of sorry pride and cautious pity—Georgia felt keenly just how wrong this all was.

She then began to speak. A steadfast side of her mind put aside the mounting panic and dug deep into her memory. From some dark recess, it returned, having retrieved her essay. The words came trickling back to the front of her mind word by word, and she recited each one as they did. It felt involuntary, in a way, almost as if she were listening to the old version of her speak through her current mouth.

The essay began slowly at first. Georgia recalled she'd decided to carefully lay out all the relevant context of the piece before attempting to convince people of her position. But over time, the essay departed from its initial cold analytical voice allowing more emotion to creep in gradually. After a few paragraphs, and as she approached the more argumentative prose, the pace accelerated. She remembered that she had planned to read the rest in a steady but quick rhythm, so as to make it to the end in the allotted time.

As she settled into the flow of the essay towards its middle, Georgia was reminded of just how brilliant a writer she was. The prose was fluid and lithe, but also finely balanced—containing just the right mixture of parochial vocabulary punctured by occasional splashes of vivid imagery. It was daring yet convincing in its arguments and made use of every oratorial technique she had picked up during her extra-curricular reading on public speaking. She spotted Mrs Lovelock in the front row beaming with pride, witnessing her star pupil overcoming the fear they had spent many long afternoons working on together. Georgia even found it within her to smile back as she recited a particularly wry piece of linguistic decoration referencing Shakespeare.

However, although Georgia could appreciate that she was finally confronting this long-held fear of hers, for some reason the act of doing so did not make her feel any better. Mrs Lovelock aside, the longer the essay went on, the more the faces of her audience seemed to turn sour. She spotted the other students roll their eyes and make gagging gestures every time she used an advanced piece of vocabulary they presumably did not understand. The smattering of parents and other adults in the audience also seemed rather nonplussed with her performance. It was clear they were never going to be convinced by the essay's arguments, especially given the physical appearance of the girl presenting them.

She was now approaching the finale of the piece. When she had written it, this had always been her favourite part. It was a clear and powerful message, with a climax that brought together all of the threads she had introduced earlier on. But as she read it aloud then, something about it rang different than she had remembered. The words flowed out of her mouth, but as they did, Georgia wondered about what the meaning of them really was. She'd thought she had a good message, and although all of the words were the same, the meaning was gone. It suddenly sounded hollow to her ears.

Did she really believe in what she had written? She knew going in that the message about steering clear of cheaply-manufactured clothing was going to sound like a great clanging non-sequitur when read aloud by a person who looked like her. But even if she had read it back in her old body, would it have really felt any different? It was technically brilliant, yes—all the arguments were precise and well-posed—but as she began the final paragraph, Georgia had the startling realisation, that she did not care one bit about anything she was saying.

At precisely that moment, Georgia pinpointed where it had all gone wrong. And it was nothing to do with her bodily transformation. The essay was just like everything else in her  life: an academic exercise. There was no real opinion being expressed here. No stakes. Georgia felt a sharp stabbing pain in her chest as she was struck by just how disgracefully vapid the essay was. An impressive piece of writing it may have been, but it was a piece so totally devoid of personal truth, so irrelevant in its applicability to any real person—least of all herself—that she had to fight back yet more tears to even recite its overwrought conclusion.

By the time she was done, Georgia could sense that a total breakdown was imminent. Her headmistress was in the process of making her way back onto the stage, holding a medal that was evidently too small to fit around her neck. Georgia could not take anymore though. Not  another embarrassment. It was all too much.

So in the middle of the final sentence, Georgia just stopped. The audience remained silent. There was no applause, and nor did she want any. It was time to go. As fast as her massive body permitted, she spun around on the spot and thundered past the headmistress on all fours. Crawling through the curtains, tumbling down the wooden steps, and pushing her broad shoulders through the backstage area, she forged her path out of the auditorium.

Once outside, and finally able to stand up again, Georgia set her powerful legs into motion and sprinted away from the school. She crossed the football fields and made for the most distant corner of the school grounds that she could see. No one could catch her, not at her size, so she knew she would be alone, for a while at least. Then, once in a deserted corner of the field, surrounded by nothing other than the birds twit***ing away in the trees, Georgia collapsed down on her front and sobbed into the grass.

The musclemorphosis (part 4)

Georgia was unsure how long she had spent lying down in that field crying. She could still hear distant sounds carried by the wind of the audience making their way out of the auditorium. It had certainly been long enough now for someone to have made it over to her. Yet she remained alone. Not a soul had decided to follow her it seemed. Perhaps no one felt like checking on her. But for that, she felt glad. Georgia was in no mood to talk to anyone, not even Rebecca.

In many ways, the image of her alone in an empty field was the first accurate reflection of how desperately lonely this nightmare had left her feeling. No one in the entire world seemed to have any memory of the normal girl she once was—the girl she still believed lay buried deep down, lodged somewhere inside the monumental lump of muscle that she now saw when she looked down at herself. Somehow that girl seemed so far away now.

For the thousandth time, Georgia wished for some cosmic power to put her back in her old body. That plain, unfeminine, underdeveloped body she was used to. It was absurd when she thought about just how much she wanted that body back, given how many hours she had spent staring spitefully at it in the mirror. She remembered how she used to slide her hands over the absence of her hips, and cup the flat skin where her breasts had refused to emerge. How she would just try to will her body—any part of her body—to grow. If only that girl knew what it was she was wishing for.

"Oh what I would do to have it all back again", Georgia said aloud to empty air. She promised herself then, that if somehow the Universe could somehow be put to rights, and that tomorrow morning she would find herself transported back into her boring old body, she would never again resent how she looked. She would not spend her evenings calculating how long it would be before she would have enough money to buy a breast augmentation. She would stop staring enviously at Rebecca's statuesque figure whenever the girl wasn't looking. Georgia promised herself that she would be happy and content with what she was given.

*

The world outside had gone very quiet now. The others had all gone back into their classrooms, and the visitors who had come only for the assembly had all driven off. Only the sounds of birds could be heard now, the seagulls tearing apart crisp packets and discarded kebab boxes in the distance. It was possible she had been out there for an hour by now, but all the sorrowful daydreaming had stripped her of the ability to measure the passing of time. Although her sobbing had subsided, she still felt wretched inside, unable to face returning to school just yet.

This was all very new for Georgia, to intentionally miss classes like this. But what difference did it make? She didn't belong in this world, she was supposed to be back in her old one.  Georgia wondered if she should just let this giant lug of a woman deal with the consequences of missing school. But when she gave it a second thought, she wasn't sure what those consequences would have even been. The more she pondered it, she realised that she of all people really needn't work so ferociously hard all the time. Especially not at this stage of her academic career. She was two months from graduating, but had taken on so many extra courses, and performed so consistently well in all of them, that she didn't even need to pass her finals to get into University. Such was her academic prestige, that three of her preferred places had already given her unconditional offers, including the particularly elite institution that she had been planning to go to. That was until all the madness of the past few days had taken place.  Now she had no idea what the plan was supposed to be for her.

So why was she even here, Georgia wondered then. Why must she torture herself like this? As if she hadn't suffered enough. Clearly, the more pressing issue was how this version of her would continue to live a decent life. It was suddenly so obvious to her that what she should have been questioning was if someone in her condition could even attend university. Say in the worst-case scenario that she remained like this forever, could she really stomach turning up there on day one as a fresher, and forcing all of her lecturers and fellow students to just figure out on their own how to deal with a 22-foot giantess walking around campus? What would be the point of even attending? Just so she could prove to a brand new set of people just how smart she was? What did it matter? What positive change to the world would she enact by doing that?

Georgia noticed that her nerves had begun to settle down at last, and that she felt strong enough to lift herself up off the grass to sit upright. The clouds were beginning to break, allowing just a few beams of midday sunlight to shine down onto patches of the unmown grass around her. She took in a few deep breaths of the cool air and tried to clear her mind of all the anxious thoughts that continued to rattle around like they always did. It was a practice that sometimes worked when she got upset with herself. When she thought about it, she really was the worst person to be chosen to go through a nightmare like this, given that even at her best she was perilously close to a nervous breakdown. But while Georgia sensed that she had managed to cry out of the worst of the despair she had plunged into while reading her essay, a certain hollowness remained as a result. It was clear that something had to change if she was to get any better.

The sight of the school buildings across the field was still too painful to bear, so Georgia turned her body away from them and watched the street that lay beyond the iron fence instead. She tried to focus on each passing moment one at a time. To remain in the present—not worry about what had just happened or what might. She followed the branches of the trees as they swayed in the wind. Took note of the different colours of each car that drove past. For some reason, an image popped into her mind of her stepping over the fence, going to intercept a car and lifting it into the air. Perhaps she should ought to try it, she wondered, just for fun—it was something she might be able to do now. That would really show everyone how just powerful she was.

Just then, Georgia felt something tug at her side, she batted it away with her hand, thinking it was an insect crawling on her, but when she struck whatever it was, the insect made a loud yelp.

"Agh! Jesus Georgie, careful!"

Georgia twisted her body around and saw that Tristan was lying on his back on the grass, nursing the side of his ribcage with one hand.

"Tristan!" Georgia cried, "oh my god. I'm so sorry."

Without thinking Georgia scooped her hands up underneath the boy's flimsy body, allowing him to lie flat on her palms.

"Uh... Georgie, hold on," Tristan began, grabbing parts of the mysterious platform that was now in the process of lifting him up into the air. "I'm not sure I'm used to thi—"

"Oh no! I'm sorry" Georgia replied, but as she let her hands give way, Tristan clung on even tighter.

"Wait no! Don't drop me! Jesus! Just... just hold me steady, okay? It's fine."

"Um okay. If you say so. What are you doing out here?"

Georgia lifted her palms up towards her face so that Tristan and her could look each other  more comfortably in the eye. She noticed that her hands were about two-thirds of the length of his body, and that all things considered, her palms outstretched like that did seem to create a rather nicely sized seat for him.

"I-I don't know." Georgia began, her voice trembling slightly from the act of touching Tristan, "I just... needed to get out of there. I didn't know you were watching."

Tristan smiled.

"Yeah, I saw it... I mean, your essay was so impressive Georgia. You're so eloquent. I couldn't believe it... until the end, that is. I could tell something happened. We were all pretty confused. What was that all about? Why didn't you accept your medal."

Georgia could feel the shame build itself up into a knot inside her throat again, but she swallowed it away, determined not to let Tristan see her cry.

"I couldn't. I didn't want it. I don't deserve it, Tristan."

But the boy just scoffed.

"What!? Of course you do, you won that contest fair and square! Didn't you hear the other essays? They were rubbish compared to yours."

"It's not about just the essay though... I don't think someone like me really deserves stuff like that."

"But you're obviously a genius, I think everyone can see that. Who better to deserve that kind of recognition?"

Georgia shook her head. He wasn't getting it clearly, but frustratingly she felt unable to pinpoint the words that would better articulate how she felt.

"I... can't explain it. I feel like I did all the right things, but, what was it all for? All I've ever wanted was to do the best that I can... but... it's like, when I think about it, I can't really figure out why. I always told myself it was because I wanted to do something great. To help the world. But every time I try and think of someone or something that I was helping by trying so hard all of the time, I feel like the only reason I did it was to feed my own ego."

Tristan's brow furrowed. It seemed he was appreciating more of where she was coming from but his expression still clearly reflected the fact that he did not believe a word of it.

"Who cares? We all do that. You can't beat yourself up just because you're better than all of us at it. And you're just a high school student for God's sake Georgia, there's plenty of time to use your super-brain to make the world better."

Suddenly the words she needed popped into her mind.

"But I've already made the world so much worse by trying! Look around! What was the cost of me doing all of that? All the accommodations people have made. The school, my parents... so much effort, just to deal with someone like me. There's so much more I could have done, as opposed to just working all the time ... Tristan, be honest, am I a drain?"

Tristan propped himself up onto his elbows. He seemed to on board, but growing more concerned over the things she was saying now.

"Georgia, how can you say that? It's not your fault that you're different. You deserve all the same opportunities as every other kid back there. It's well within your rights to chose whatever life you want."

"But I'm not talking about what I deserve," Georgia replied, firmly. "I'm asking if this is what I should have chosen. If this is the life I should be leading. Is there something better for me out there?"

"Well that's not up to me Georgie" Tristan replied, before being cut off by Georgia bringing her palms, and his body, closer to her face, "Woah, hold on a sec—"

"I said be honest. I'm asking your opinion Tristan, what do you think I should have done?"

Tristan was obviously perturbed by Georgia's unusual behaviour, let alone the sight of her so totally overpowering him like that. If what Rebecca had told her was anything to go by, she likely had never once done this to another person in all the time they had known each other.

Tristan gathered himself up into a cross-legged position and stared up at Georgia's looming face, which though small in comparison to her own body, was still so much larger than his.

"Well, I mean... I dunno. I would never usually want to try and divert you away from the things you're obviously so brilliant at... but damn, if you're really asking me, of course there are things you could be doing. You say you want to help the world. I would argue that most things are pretty well within your power."

"What do you mean? What power?" Georgia asked naively.

"Are you joking?" Tristan scoffed, getting up to his feet.

"Tell me what you mean."

Once stably balanced on her palms, Tristan walked forwards slightly so he could speak right up close to her face.

"Georgia, I don't know how else to say this, but you're like the eighth wonder of the world or something. Look at where I'm standing right now. I'm nothing compared to you. The rest of us probably wouldn't even be able to conceive of the feats you must be capable of. And if I'm being honest, I always found it hard to understand that you yourself didn't seem able to conceive of them either."

"How do you mean?"

"Well, it's no secret that you're probably like the strongest person who ever lived or whatever. You could probably walk back over there and demolish that bleeding school into a pile of rubble you wanted. I wouldn't even blame you if you did. But until now, I don't think I've ever seen you do anything that suggested you actually knew how powerful you were. Hell, I don't think I've ever even heard you mention anything about your size to me once before, hence why I'm still kind of confused about where this is all coming from."

Georgia thought on that for a moment, wondering how much of the events of the last few days to let on.

"I guess I've had a change of heart."

"Clearly," Tristan replied, offering a weak smile and placing one hand tenderly on her right cheek.

Tristan remained standing confidently at the edge of her palms. However, Georgia could sense that her heart would be about to burst out of her chest if she let him continue to touch her for any longer. So after a while she pulled her head back slightly, receding from his reach.

"You don't mind this do you?" He spoke up again, after a long pause, "Holding me like this?"

Georgia smiled beside herself.

"Not at all, it's much easier than trying to hear you shouting at me from down there. You don't weigh anything, don't worry."

Tristan seemed to find that comment amusing for some reason.

"Well no, I wasn't worried about that. I just wondered because that was always something I thought was strange about you too. If I was as big as you, you can bet I wouldn't be able to stop picking people up like this. Yesterday, when I saw you carrying Rebecca for the first time in—I don't even know how many years—I couldn't believe it... I really felt..."

Tristan began mumbling, as if something had come over him all of a sudden.

"Felt what, Tristan?" Georgia pressed him.

"Well, you know... Not to blow your trumpet too much but, I was in awe of you. I always have been, but seeing you actually carry her like that, it was like a real demonstration of what I always knew you were capable of. To be honest, I was so insanely jealous of her."

Georgia realised then that she had begun smiling from ear to ear and couldn't stop herself.

"Oh. I see. Well, it just made sense is all: she was walking so slowly... but... why would you be jealous?"

She felt it was a reasonable question to ask, but Tristan just rolled his eyes and shot her a sarcastic smirk,

"Oh come on Georgia, do I really need to spell it out?" He proclaimed with his hands on his hips.

"Spell what out?"

Tristan rubbed the bridge of his nose and let out a heavy sigh.

"Oh Georgie, you may be the smartest girl I know, but you have a bloody hard time seeing what is right in front of your face sometimes..."

"How do you mean?"

"I like you... I really like you."

Georgia's heart began to flutter in her chest again, but still that involuntary grin refused to leave her face.

"Really? I-I like you too."

A single abrupt laugh left Tristan's mouth.

"Well, I know that! I'm not sure if you're aware, but it's kind of obvious when a 22-foot-tall girl has a crush on you. I tried to make it obvious that I fancied you back by complimenting you all the time—I can't believe you didn't notice."

While Georgia had no memory of what this version of Tristan might have complimented her about, it was true that she would quite often be showered with praise by him back in her old body. Especially whenever they discussed anything academic. Perhaps, in this world and in the other, those compliments had had some kind of subtext to them.

"Oh, I see. I guess I never realised that was because you liked me. But... if you don't mind me asking, why? What could you possibly see in someone like me?"

"Jesus, Georgie... you really need to take a look in a mirror, don't you? Is it that you can't find one big enough?"

That comment should have embarrassed her, but she could sense that Tristan's teasing was intended to be playful rather than meanspirited.

"I-I don't understand."

Tristan took a few further uncertain steps forward along Georgia's hands, up to the very base of her palms close to her face. He lifted up one arm and tried to reach up to her again. Although she knew that even the thought of Tristan's touch made her tremble, she forced herself down to lean forward so that he could return his hand to her cheek. After a while, he sighed and spoke firmly into her eyes.

"Georgia, you may not see it yet, but you're the most brilliant woman I've ever met."

Something about the word 'woman' made her feel especially giddy in that moment.

"Me? But what could you see in me? I'm a monst—"

"Stop that. Georgia, you're not just insanely tall, super-intelligent, impossibly strong, and most-of-all, smoking hot—you're also just an utterly singular woman. You're incredible. I have no other words to describe you. Suffice to say that there is not anyone else like you out there. It's about time you admitted that, don't you think?"

Georgia fell quiet for a moment. Her instinct was to protest the things he was saying, but she felt dissuaded from doing so after how final and definite Tristan's response had been.

"But what about Rebecca" Georgia began frantically, "she would never—"

"Forget about her! She's just protective of you, that's all. She's only afraid of us being a thing because she thinks I might hurt you. All you have to do is show her that you are your own woman and that some little boy who's no bigger than your forearm is nothing to worry about."

Again it was the way he referred to her as a woman that left a funny tingling feeling inside of her. It was a word that had never been used to describe her in all her life until that moment. And for Tristan of all people to consider her as such, it made her feel mature—as mature as she always knew she was deep down. It made her feel like she was someone who did have control over her own life.

"Look. If you're not interested, I'd understand." Tristan continued after he'd noticed that Georgia was drifting off into an anxious daydream again, "Maybe the idea of you and me being together is farfetched, you could probably got and pick up any guy you—"

But Georgia had heard enough. Before her mind could catch up with her body, she stopped him mid-sentence. Swiftly moving her palms around, she gripped her right hand tenderly around Tristan's torso and pulled the boy's body up to her face.

Their lips touched. At long last. She gave him the kiss she had been dreaming about for so many years. Granted, it was not exactly as she had imagined it—her lips were far too large for his small face to take all at once, and she had no clue if he was even kissing her back. But the significance of it all was enough. All she had wanted was to feel him against her mouth. The boy, that wonderful boy. She didn't care that he was the size of a doll compared to her now, he was still just as dashing as ever. Just as handsome and adorable. But the sweetest part was that she knew now how he felt. That he saw her in such a beautiful way. Not in spite of how she looked, but because of it. Because she was a mature, fully-grown woman, and not a child.

From the motion of Tristan's face in between her lips, she imagined that he was kissing her back,  though in truth he was too small for her to really tell. She wasn't sure how long a kiss should have lasted but there wasn't much that he would have been able to do, should he want it to end. So after letting her lips savour his face for just a few moments longer, she released him. With a final smack, their lips parted, and she inspected his small face and body up close again. The hand that was holding him was large enough to encircle the diameter of his ribcage completely. For support he was grappling onto her thumb and index finger with, but his legs dangled freely in the air. Yet despite being totally immobilised by a woman so much larger and stronger than him, he seemed both pleased and curiously excited by his predicament. Tristan stared back at her, and smiled. He seemed out of breath, the entire lower half of his face covered in a thin film of saliva.

"That was some kiss... I'm... not sure what to make of that." Tristan began, still panting slightly.

"I'm sorry... that was my first kiss."

"Well, I'm honoured."

Georgia remained holding Tristan in her hand for a long while after that, but for the most part they just stared into each other's eyes. Occasionally Georgia would lift her other hand and stroke his face and his long brown hair with her fingers. The boy, in turn, attempted to stroke the parts of her face that were within his reach too, but due to being mostly immobilised in Georgia's fist there was little he could really do. It was strange. She'd assumed that boys were not supposed to like feeling so hopelessly emasculated like this. But Tristan almost seemed to enjoy it. Although she must have looked unthinkably large to him, from the subtle glint in his eye, and the occasional smirk he shot in her direction, it was almost like he was excited specifically by how enormous she was.

Georgia too found the sensation of holding Tristan in her hand to be much more exciting than she'd expected. When she had spent all those long nights in her bed, fantasising about her and Tristan together, she'd often imagined them gazing lovelingly at each other like they were now. The present moment was remarkably like her fantasy then in some ways, but from an outsider's perspective this was most certainly not how it was supposed to look. It was all backwards. She'd always fantasised him with his long arms wrapped around her, her head resting up against his chest listening to his breathing and his heartbeat.

So while a part of this experience did excite her, it made her feel oddly melancholy at the same time. She still longed to feel his arms around her, to have his hands stroking her back for comfort. She supposed that she was too large to really be comforted like that by anyone now. Moreover, Georgia couldn't stop imagining how her previous self would have reacted if she had seen the two of them as they were now. She surely would have recoiled in horror, disgusted not just at her own ghastly appearance, but the way her colossal size rendered the boy she'd loved for so many years little more than a feeble plaything. It was so wrong, so unsightly. She knew that it was not how it was supposed to be.

And still, despite all the usual swarm of anxieties and insecurities that continally buzzed around inside of her head, trying to undermine her at all times, on this occasion they didn't change how she felt. They were all unimportant in the end. They couldn't make that moment any less magical. She was with him. At last. And she had kissed him no less. That was all that mattered. She was happier than she had ever been.

Overcome with a sense of giddiness over everything, Georgia felt she was ready to make out some more, and Tristan seemed to want that as well. She allowed him more autonomy this time, and he made his way around her lips by himself, kissing various parts of them with his own, and stroking her large rosy cheeks at the same time with tiny hands. They chuckled every time he used all his strength to smoosh her cheeks together and make her lips purse. Georgia was finally able to appreciate that the absurd size difference between the two of them was actually quite amusing in a lot of ways. Tristan clearly did not mind it, and from the way his eyes widened and his body trembled slightly every time he reached up to touch her, it only made her even more confident that her size did excite him. At several moments she could even swear that she spotted him glance down into the cavernous cleavage that lay below him, only to quickly return his gaze to her with a loud gulp.

While they engaged in their longest make-out yet, Georgia began to bring her tongue forward in her mouth to explore what she could do with it. It was clearly too big for him, so she allowed Tristan to touch as much of it with his own as he felt comfortable with. But just as she was getting used to the slippery feeling of his microscopic tongue against hers she started to become aware of some movement down below them. Then, suddenly a cry,

"Ugh! What in God's name is going on here!"

Came Rebecca's voice. Georgia opened her eyes and pulled her face away from Tristan.

"Oh Bec, piss off will you," Tristan yelled back, still with one hand on Georgia's cheek trying not to let go.

"I will not. Get your hands off of her now. She's only 18, you sick bastard."

Tristan tried his best to wriggle his body around inside her fist so that he could turn to look down at where Rebecca was standing.

"Excuse me sis, but exactly how should I do that? I think Georgia is quite capable of handling herself. As you can see, there is nothing much I can do. She's in control. As she should be."

Rebecca was obviously steaming with rage, her arms were crossed and she was tapping her foot on the grass in an exaggerated manner as if to try and assure them of her displeasure.

"Georgia. Whatever he's making you do, you don't have to do it. Put him down so we can—"

"No!" She heard herself shout. "You may not understand it, but I like him. I've always liked him. He's not making me do anything. I wanted to kiss him so I did. I picked him up and I did it. So there."

Rebecca looked thoroughly shocked to hear Georgia speak to her like that.

"But why? What has he told you? Georgia, he's just a pervert who has some weird crush on you for some reason."

Something about the way Rebecca phrased that comment made a small ember of anger spark up inside of her.

"What exactly do you mean by that? What is so strange about him liking me back?"

Something in Rebecca's mood shifted in a blink, she seemed flabbergasted to see Georgia lash out so suddenly. She immediately began to back-pedal. Georgia noticed then that her biceps and shoulder muscles had begun to tear the seams of her blouse again.

"Georgia, I-I didn't mean—" Rebecca began, her voice trembling slightly.

"Do you think just because I look like this, no one would want me? Tristan and I share more than just that. We actually find each other interesting."

"Yeah Bec, the fact that she's smoking hot is just a bonus."

Georgia did a double take. She felt her face flush red. Tristan had sounded as if he meant the comment as a joke but the wry smirk he shot her seemed to suggest that he was deadly serious.

Rebecca seemed at a loss for words. The girl looked around the fields blankly, grumbling to herself. Eventually, after it became clear that Georgia was not letting Tristan go anywhere any time soon, she looked back up at them again and threw up her hands in defeat.

"Look... whatever. If you're really sure... I just always thought you two liked each other for the wrong reasons. But if... oh who cares, I don't even know what's gotten into you Georgie, I can tell you're not the same as the girl I thought I knew. And maybe that's a good thing. Are you sure you're alright though?"

It seemed as though Georgia had won, but for some reason she found her frustration difficult to tamper down in time.

"I don't know Bec. I have no idea what's going on anymore. I thought I understood how things work but nothing makes sense anymore. I'm a humungous freak of nature with stupid gigantic muscles and these ridiculous massive boobs. What's the point in behaving like I always have? From now I'm just going to do whatever I want. And if you don't like it then tough, because I'm a giant, it's not like you can't stop me."

Georgia realised then that she was actually much angrier than she had anticipated being when she began her outburst. She had realised halfway through that all of this presumably sounded like ramblings of a madwoman to Tristan who was still not aware that Georgia had no memory of looking the way she did now. Now what had she done? Both Tristan and Rebecca were looking up at her with intense fear on their faces.

It was over. She'd blown it. There was no possible way she could explain to Tristan of all people what was going on inside her head. Even Rebecca didn't seem to understand it. But as she began to lower Tristan down to the floor, ready to run away from the both for good, she saw that Rebecca's startled expression had turned into a half-smile. Then, out of nowhere, she began to laugh.

"What!? What are you laughing at?" Georgia spat, her voice quivering from anxiety again.

But Rebecca just laughed even harder, Tristan now joining her.

"Why are you laughing? I don't understand. I'm sorry I said all that, I'm not really in a good state of mind right now."

"Georgia! Please!" Tristan interrupted, waving his hands in front of her face "You're right, I have no bloody idea what that outburst was all about... but don't you see that you're right? I can't believe you finally see it: that's what people have been telling you your entire life."

"What do you mean?" Georgia replied softly, wiping her nose with her other hand.

"About you doing whatever you want," Tristan replied

"You don't have to do anything." Rebecca continued on behalf of her brother, "I can't understand why you torture yourself so much. You are a giant, babe, so just be one!"

Suddenly it all made sense. Why must she allow herself to be chained down to an endless series of exams and essays and homework? The world she had submitted to didn't want that, and it served her no good either. She was a giant. A real giant. The only one in existence she imagined. Her power presumably knew no bounds. If she wanted to really use this strength of hers, that was her right. It appeared even that that was what her two companions wanted from her.

Sensing some clarity at last. Georgia picked up Rebecca from the ground and allowed her and her brother to perch themselves upon either shoulder. Their legs dangled over her collar bone and rested just at the summit of her bosom, which had been lifted and compressed by her tight blouse. She could feel their tiny hands grip onto her engorged trapezius muscles for balance—a sensation that only made her appreciate anew just how truly enormous she was compared to them now.

Wordlessly, Georgia rose from the ground and walked off. Stepping effortlessly over the iron fence of the school grounds, she made her way towards the park. She didn't have to take much care to watch where she was walking. The street that ran between the school and the park could be easily stepped over with one long stride, she needn't even bother to stop the traffic that passed between her legs. The only caution she knew she must exercise was to ensure she would not crush another pedestrian beneath her feet, but from her vantage point, she could see so much of the world around her that there was rarely any danger as long as they didn't get too close.

Stampeding through the park at speed, Georgia decided to take the route that led away from the wooded area. The trees and their low-hanging branches were an obstacle she was not keen on facing, especially with her two fragile passengers perched upon her shoulders.  The path she took them on led up to a slightly higher altitude than the others anyway. Thanks to her statuesque height, it offered them all a breathtaking view of the rest of the park that was bathed in the afternoon sunlight.

Within minutes she had arrived back at Rebecca and Tristan's house. She stopped for a moment outside to allow the pair to marvel at the view of their house from 22 feet in the air. Rebecca then commented off-handedly that the plastic gutters on their roof were full of leaves. With a single finger, Georgia cleared out the gutter and flicked the pile of wet leafy matter into a pile on the driveway. It was only when she lowered Tristan and Rebecca down onto the ground that she realised the size of the pile she had made. It seemed though that the pair were also rather shocked by that—admittedly unremarkable—illustration of her size and strength.

The trio spent the rest of the day together chatting and marvelling at Georgia's body. But soon enough, it was time to go. They had been enjoying themselves so much that the day had somehow gotten away from them. By the orange glow trickling throuhg the clouds scattered along the horizon, twilight was now encroaching on them. So after crouching down on all fours one last time, and ignoring the muffled gagging sounds that Rebecca made as she did, Georgia gave Tristan a final kiss goodbye. She then rose up to her full statuesque height and departed into the sunset.

As Georgia walked back through the park towards her house, she decided to take another route, a circuitous one that she would often not have any reason to take. The incredible speed with which she could traverse the landscape was nice, but it did not allow her much time alone to ponder her thoughts. So she stayed there, stepping carefully along the winding paths until the sun had set beyond the horizon. Soon dusk arrived. The sky was still cloudy but moonless.

On the other side of the park fence, she looked in towards some of the first-floor windows of the rows of semi-detached houses. Just like her friends, the people in those houses would probably be nice and warm now. Enjoying their evenings studying, or reading a book, or watching something on the TV. Georgia felt a mild feeling of sorrow return to her as she walked along by. If this really was to be her fate—that she remain a 22-foot-tall hulking creature forever—it was likely that she would never be able to do any of those things again. At least not indoors. While she had allowed her friends to convince her that life as a giant need not be as bad as she had first assumed, she did nevertheless mourn the loss of her old, normal life. She had never even taken the opportunity to really enjoy it while she could.

As Georgia approached her own street, the feeling of freedom and lightness that had come with her newfound self-confidence seemed to have slipped through her fingers somewhat. She knew it would be impossible for her to magically transform into a content and self-assured person in an instant, but why couldn't she hold on to some of that pleasant feeling at least? She tried to remember what Tristan had told her, but with her friends long gone, Georgia felt the worry and anguish returning. She even tried to conjure up the images of the lustful looks that Tristan gave her when she had held him in her hand, but she began to doubt if they had even happened.

Suddenly the events of the day seemed so long ago. Could she really continue on like this—to live the life of a 22 foot woman? Surely not. At 12 foot, perhaps that was manageable, but not this. She was too large. Much too large. Georgia wanted to go back inside. To crawl up in her old bed and hide away under the warm blankets. She wanted to be rid of all the muscles and the enormous breasts. She wanted to wear normal clothes again. Was she really supposed to wear a gigantic version of her school uniform for the rest of her life? How would she get by like that, what clothes would she wear once she left school? Worst of all, was how much bigger she was than everyone else. It seemed like she would never be hugged properly again. She'd never get to feel the warmth of Rebecca's long arms comforting her whenever she got upset. Or to rest her head up against Tristan's hard chest. She was even too big to hug her mother.

Georgia stepped over the parked cars along the side of her road and made her way back to her father's garage. The lights were on upstairs in her parent's room. She had a mind to knock on the window just to bid them a goodnight, but it made her feel stupid even imagining doing that. So instead Georgia decided to try and get some rest. She was exhausted after everything. Crumpling up her body into a painful knot of powerful limbs and excessive bulging muscles, she crammed herself into the undersized garage and tried her best to make herself comfortable. Her pretend bed—created from three double mattresses aligned diagonally between opposite corners of the garage—was not long enough, and most certainly not wide enough for her proportions. But that, she supposed, was all the comfort she deserved.

As the night outside grew darker, a sense of hopelessness returned. But Georgia was done feeling sorry for herself. She had no tears left to cry anyway. Whatever this cosmic practical joke was intending to teach her, she had taken its point. No more complaining about her lot in life, no more despising her body, and no overworking herself to the detriment of everything else. She would use her talents for good, and not to inflate her own ego. That had to be the point of it all, she thought. It had to be.

As she drifted off, Georgia repeated her promises to the empty air. The proclamations made her feel like something had to change at least, be it in her own head, or better yet the body she inhabited. She prayed and prayed, to whoever might have been listening. "Just take me back" she whimpered softly into the mattress.

Eventually, she did manage to relax, and melancholy dreams whisked her off to sleep at last. From the sense of calm that greeted her as she left the wretched world behind, she truly believed that it would all be fine. Tomorrow she would wake up and the nightmare would over. She would be back in her old body.

When Georgia Samson awoke the next day from troubled dreams, she found herself in a new environment once again. It was not her old room, sadly, but nor was it her father's garage either. It wasn't anywhere she recognised at all. Looking down across her body that lay before her, she felt her stomach sink. That massive, undesired physique of hers remained. But even still, it was not identical. Something was different. Georgia had changed all right, but most certainly not in way that she had wanted. She had grown, for the third time.

The musclemorphosis (part 5)

Just as she had the morning prior, Georgia Samson awoke to find herself in yet another new setting. It was not in her family's garage, nor was it her old bedroom. It was somewhere new entirely. Groggily, she rubbed her eyes with fingers much too large and thick compared to the size of her face. She then lifted herself up, noticing in the process that she was lying on some vast soft surface that was somehow both wide and long enough to provide her room to lie down. It was only then that she realised that the building she was situated in the centre of was actually incredibly spacious.

Although in her drowsy and confused state she was still unable to determine what was going on, remarkably, Georgia was in surprising lack of discomfort. In fact, for the first time throughout this entire ordeal, she felt as though her environment was at long last suitable for someone of her size. Indeed as she began to stand up, Georgia noticed she was able to erect herself fully with still a further few feet of clearance remaining above her head to stop her from colliding with the ceiling.

For a brief moment, Georgia wondered if she had returned to a somewhat normal size. Her previous 22-foot height would have surely made almost all buildings off limits. However, even a cursory glance at her surroundings confirmed that this could not be the case. The building she was in was undoubtedly immense, and truthfully, even this was only barely enough to contain her. Once Georgia had completely elongated her noticeably thicker-looking legs, she was able to reassess just how close the walls and the ceiling were. Given the sloped roofs of the building, it was really only the centre of the space that she was permitted her full height anyway. Her upper body was well-above support beams of the construction and if she wished to move about, she would inevitably have to crouch down to half of her standing height.

Nonetheless, for a brief moment, Georgia felt elated. At the very least she was indoors, that surely had to be a sign that she had not grown excessively. It was only that this gutted building that someone must have sourced for her was just a touch on the small side. But only after she inspected the contents of the building more closely did the situation become more concerning. The things she discovered around her did not seem right. From the shape of the construction, its sloped roofs and the lack of dividing walls or floors, she gathered that most likely she was inside of a barn. Its spacious empty interior, piles of straw, and heavy wooden beams stretched from either wall and supported the roof, all adding to this impression. Yet their sizes surely were far too small for this to be a barn with any reasonable function.

Most of the contents of the building had been cleared away from the central space so as to make way for the huge blanket that lined the floor under her feet. It seemed to be constructed out of many individual tiles glued together, each of which was slightly smaller than one of her feet and the shape of a double mattress. All of the objects that had presumably once been stored there had instead been pushed up against the walls and into the corners of the room. Stacked up in a series of disorganised piles, there was a small tractor, pieces of miscellaneous machinery, several bails of hay, as well as piles upon piles of roughspun sacks containing what looked like grain or animal feed. They were all easily identifiable, and yet they were all so very tiny, Georgia thought to herself—like toy replicas of farming equipment that had been made for a child's playset.

Turning away from her curious, miniaturised surroundings, Georgia looked at her body properly for the first time and screamed out in horror. Somehow she had failed to notice that she was standing inside this building stark naked. Georgia frantically began to try and cover parts of her giant body, but although her hands and arms were huge in size, the various swollen parts of her muscular physique were simply too enormous to cover all at once. Georgia had acknowledged already that she had likely grown once more, but stupidly she had forgotten about this aspect of her transformations. Her body was noticeably more muscular than before, a feat she scarcely thought possible. Its shoulders were more massive and broader in extent, and her arms and legs were both thicker and stronger-looking. Yet at the same time, they were all somehow less well-defined. In fact, her body, from head to toe, seemed a touch bulkier than before, as if beneath all the bulging muscles, the skeleton itself had been forced to increase its load-bearing strength, just to accommodate her immense stature.

However, it was what Georgia discovered atop her chest that made her most want to cry out in despair. Her breasts had also grown, yet again. On account of the bulkier appearance of her body that day, the soft mounds did appear slightly less absurd bursting out from the taught skin of her chest. However, their present size was beyond anything remotely reasonable. They hung heavy and pendulous on her body, with a width that caused them to press up against her biceps, and a length that extended down to her navel. They were so large that she was only able to cover them using both arms fully outstretched, meaning she would have to make a choice whether to cover her bare nipples or her groin if she were to remain standing up like this.

Panic-stricken, Georgia got down on all fours and began to maniacally scour her miniaturised world for some kind of clothing. Unfortunately, there was nothing in sight other than straw and farming equipment. Now that she was coming to terms with the fact that she had undoubtedly grown to probably an inconceivable size, she realised that it should have been obvious from the beginning that there was not going to be a piece of fabric large enough to conceal a body as monstrously huge as hers. If the size of the tractor that she was able to pick up effortlessly with one hand was anything to go by, she must have been a truly gigantic individual now.

As she tossed aside the hay bails, sacks of feed, and pieces of farming equipment around the barn, Georgia became aware of just how noisy she was being. Everything she did seemed to make a deafening racket—each tiny action sending up a din of crashing and banging that echoed around the barn. Even just placing a hand down delicately on the floor was enough to kick up clouds of dust and hay into the air and send a thud reverberating through the ground beneath her like a seismic tremor. As she crawled around on the floor of the barn, searching for clothes, Georgia witnessed the way that every object within her vicinity would rattle and shake after every slight motion of her gargantuan body.

Even after minutes of searching, there was still no form of clothing to be found. Not even a modest covering that might have hidden her indignity. Disaster seemed imminent now. She was still stark naked, and sooner or later, someone was going to discover her here. And from the sounds coming from outside the barn, that time was now.

In the distance, Georgia could hear the muffled sounds of people talking outside. The barn only had a few small windows situated high up on one of the walls, but the horizontal wooden beams prevented her from approaching them up close. The only other way she would be able to see outside was through the excessively wide entrance to the barn. The entrance looked to be far wider than any normal building would ever need, leading her to presume that it must have been extended specifically to accommodate the massive width of her musclebound shoulders. Georgia wanted to approach it and peer at who could be out there, but from the sounds of it, this was precisely the direction from which those people were coming. All she could see out of the entrance from her vantage point inside the barn was a dense thicket of trees and a dirt path. After a few moments of waiting, her dire situation was confirmed: from somewhere just around the corner, the group was coming along the path towards the barn.

As the people drew nearer, Georgia could start to make out their voices individually. She heard women's voices at first, many of them, all having separate overlapping conversations. Gradually, it then became clear that the entire group was women. In a way this should have been a positive, as being seen naked by men was certainly the worse of the two options, but being seen by what sounded like such a large group of people was perhaps even worse.

There was nothing she could do now but wait to be found. Spotting no other option to conceal her naked body, Georgia crawled over to the far corner of the barn and hid as best as a giant like her could. As if in some vain attempt to make herself smaller, she gathered herself up into the foetal position, pulling her thick legs up against her body to cover her crotch and as much of her stupidly large chest as she could. It was foolish, she knew, as there was not even the slightest chance that those women would not spot a colossal naked girl with gigantic muscles and enormous breasts crouching in the corner of a barn. Unfortunately, there were simply no other ways out of the situation, save perhaps for smashing down the walls of the barn, which would likely cause more problems than it solved.

Finally, the group arrived. Through the entrance to the barn, in walked a team of ten women, all wearing navy blue scrubs in the style worn by nurses. Georgia watched the women through her fingers, expecting them to react to her presence in some way—whether to squeal in horror, or run away, or even pick up the pitchforks resting upon one of the barn walls and attack her. But shockingly the nurses did none of that. In fact, they acted almost as if they could not see her. Only one of them, the oldest of the group, even looked in her direction, and she did so only momentarily, almost as if to merely confirm that she was still there and nothing more. Why exactly the presence of an unsightly giantess cowering naked in the corner was not the cause for anything other than serious panic and alarm, Georgia could not understand, but the nurses did not seem to care about her being there one bit. They just continued to get on with whatever task it was that they were engaged in whilst chatting amongst themselves in hushed voices.

The nurses split into two groups and over the next few minutes continued their work in a  swift and orderly fashion. Two of the nurses were tasked to remain in the barn and move some of the heavy sacks closer to where they had been originally, while the other eight, after having agreed on some kind of calculation, walked off out of the barn again. The two that had stayed seemed to be a little frustrated as they moved the sacks around. Georgia guessed this was because of the way the sacks had been scattered across the floor by herself while she'd  searched for clothing. She felt embarrassed to have made their lives difficult by doing that, but in fairness, she had not appreciated just how large and heavy those sacks would have been to a normal person. To her, they had been small enough to pick up between her thumb and index finger.

A short while later the eight nurses who had walked out of the barn returned. All of them were exerting themselves, pushing several large four-wheeled steel dumpsters along in front of them. Once fully inside of the barn, the nurses then set about tipping out the contents of every single sack that the other two had prepared, filling each dumpster in turn. The sacks had seemed so numerous to Georgia before, but the nurses did not stop until every single one had been emptied. Inside the sacks, what she had assumed was animal feed, actually seemed to be a substance more closely resembling cereal than anything else.

While most of the nurses got on with filling up the dumpsters, three of the others left for a second time. They then returned a few moments later, heaving in behind them a heavy vessel balanced on top of a six-wheeled trailer. The vessel was enormous, like the sort of tanker used to carry water or fuel, however this one appeared to be full of an opaque liquid. Seeing as the nurses appeared to be entirely undisturbed by her presence, Georgia permitted herself to scoot her body a few feet across the floor to take a closer look at what they were preparing. She noticed then that the eight large dumpsters that the nurses had arranged neatly arranged along one edge of the barn were indeed all full to the brim with cereal, and that the tanker presumably then contained several thousand gallons worth of milk.

With their task apparently complete, the nurses began to leave one by one. The sensation she felt inside her body then Georgia had experienced enough times now to know what this was all about. This was to be her breakfast: eight—admittedly clean-looking—dumpsters full of cereal, and a tanker full of milk. If the previous day's body could eat enough to feed an entire party's worth of people, apparently today's one required enough food to feed an entire farm's worth of livestock for a week. Georgia felt that familiar wave of shame return as she considered just how absurd the whole situation was. The fact that it had taken the effort of ten women just to bring her breakfast. And who knew how many people it at taken to prepare it. Why could she not have done this herself, she wondered? It was a colossal amount of food to be sure, but it was only cereal— she could probably have prepared this feast in seconds if only they had let her.

But no matter how sorry for herself Georgia felt about the burden she had inadvertently placed on those women, she knew she would not be able to dwell on that feeling for much longer. She knew what was coming next. The sight of all of the cereal and the milk had instantly set off that irresistible primal lust for food. The same sensation that had overcome her before all of her meal times on the two previous days. And perhaps as befitted her current inconceivable size, this was the worst she had felt so far. She knew that the monstrous beheoth whose body she now inhabited needed feeding like nothing else on Earth, and no amount of shame or embarrassment over the fact was going to stop it. It was an urge that would consume her mind so totally that soon no rational thought or intelligent instinct would be able to prevent her from acting upon it.

And sure enough, that urge came right on command. The idea that she remain there trying to conceal her naked breasts and her crotch suddenly seemed trivial compared to the intense hunger growling in her stomach. So despite the fact that her body was in full view of the remaining nurses, Georgia immediately dragged herself to the far end of the barn, picked up the first dumpster in her hand and tipped the vast quantity of cereal into her mouth. The way she was able to pick up the heavy container so effortlessly meant that she was briefly forgot that the perfectly-sized spoon she was holding was actually once a full-size industrial dumpster.

Once she had finished the first load, Georgia immediately tossed the container aside and made short work of the other seven. Her mind was so addled by hunger that it wasn't until she was tipping the final mountain of cereal into her mouth that she realised that she was probably supposed to have mixed it with the milk she had been provided. It was a good job that she had left it to last though, as eight dumpster's worth of cereal had made her mouth exceedingly dry. So letting the final dumpster crash to the ground, she lifted up the heavy tanker in both hands above her head. She knew the quantity of milk inside must have been truly enormous because for the first time she actually felt the weight of an object. She needed both hands to lift the tanker up to her mouth and angle it so that she could drink its contents. But once she had lifted it up above her head, Georgia was able to suck the contents out through its wide opening in seconds. Sadly, by the time she was done with that, while the worst of the hunger pangs had gone, she was still as ravenous as before. Georgia knew that if somehow the nurses could source her even more food, she would have been able to consume it all again several times over.

After she had finished her meal, the nurses then disappeared for what seemed like 10 minutes. With the worst of her hunger pangs subsided, the embarrassment about her situation returned. She felt especially ashamed about the way she had inconvenienced those two poor nurses so much by carelessly throwing around the sacks of cereal earlier. So Georgia decided that the least she could do was to place the tanker and the eight dumpsters in a neat row by the entrance to the barn so that the nurses would be able to remove them again without having to wander around her too much. Around the time she finished, Georgia could hear the nurses return, so she crawled back to the corner of the barn again to hide.

Just like before, the nurses continued to chat to each other about various pieces of shared gossip, but from the sounds of their voices, they seemed to be being exerted by something now. As they rounded the corner and reentered the barn, Georgia realised what it was. The nurses had divided themselves into two teams of five, each of which was carrying two vast pieces of folded fabric. As with her breakfast, Georgia was familiar enough with the experience of her nightly metamorphoses into increasingly enormous giantesses to know what this was all about. Five of the nurses were tasked with carrying a huge piece of white cotton, which—as absurd as it seemed—was clearly going to turn out to be her school uniform's blouse. Whilst, just behind them, the second group was occupied with the job of heaving in her skirt—which by all likelihood was the largest piece of tartan fabric ever fabricated.

The nurses dropped their two heavy loads to the floor with a loud thump. Georgia noticed several of them wiping the sweat from their foreheads, or nursing their lower backs to recover from what was clearly an exhausting job. After that, one of the nurses—the older one who seemed to be directing the group—looked over towards the corner in which Georgia was hiding and gave her a curt smile and nod. There was a kind of finality to her action which hinted to Georgia that she was trying to tell her that they had completed what they had been tasked to do for that morning, and were now intending to leave.

From the way the rest of the nurses scurried back towards the barn entrance, it was obvious even from Georgia's vantage point that the nurses were keen to get out of there as quickly as they had arrived. However, she still had so many questions about what on Earth was going on here, and was about to lose a vital opportunity to learn valuable information. So swallowing her shame, Georgia got up and crawled toward the nurses to try and intercept them before they disappeared out of the barn. Several of the nurses seemed to be alarmed by the way she was thundering along the ground towards them and ran out of the building even faster, but the rest stood their ground, including the head nurse. Georgia knew how ridiculous she must have looked—a naked giant crawling on all fours with her enormous breasts dragging along the floor underneath her. She also could not even imagine how terrifying she must have been, given that she towered so high above the nurses even after having lowered herself to the ground like this.

The group of women seemed more than a little unnerved by her approach, but the head nurse shielded her companions and looked sternly up at Georgia's face as it loomed down high above the group. As softly as she could manage using the deafening voice that boomed uncontrollably from her mouth, Georgia attempted to ask the nurses some questions. Although she was still rattled by everything, and speaking more incoherently than she would have liked, Georgia tried her best to ask the nurses who they were and what they were doing. Quickly realising that the giant was obviously just confused, most of the nurses just walked straight out, but the head nurse remained and barked abrupt, unelaborated answers back at her. The woman was clearly trying to give the impression that it was far beyond her pay grade to be answering inane questions like that.

Nevertheless, despite the fact that the nurse was not in the least bit forthcoming, Georgia was able to determine some information. The group had been hired by her school and her parents it seemed, though whether their roles were that of carers or servants remained  unclear. It was obvious however that the morning's events were a ritual, something that they had been doing for quite some time. As the head nurse explained this to Georgia, she did so with a rather suspicious tone of voice, implying she was more than a little bit confused as to why her colossal client could not remember any of this herself.

Georgia attempted to ask more questions about where the food and clothing came from but received little in the way of a response. The nurse had grown impatient, and presumably had other tasks to complete that day that did not include humouring the internal emotional crises of a giant woman. However, just before she left, the nurse paused for a moment. A crack formed in her steely demeanour that seemed to suggest some element of concern. Perhaps it was simply curiosity from having detected the obvious panic in Georgia's voice, but the nurse inquired then if she was dissatisfied with the amount of food they had brought her. From the surprising look of sudden anxiety in the nurse's eyes, it appeared that this question  more serious that it sounded. But Georgia shook her head and told her that the quantity was sufficient. It was an answer that made her feel wretched, not just because of how embarrassing the quantity of food had been, but most of all because it was a lie.

Just before the nurse walked out the entrance of the barn, Georgia decided to call out one final question, broaching the topic that had been bothering her most of all.

"Excuse me, I'm sorry but, do you know how tall I am?"

She spotted several of the younger nurses who had remained in the barn look at each other to exchange puzzled expressions and stifled laughter, but the head nurse just cleared her throat and replied curtly,

"48 feet at last measurement, ma'am. May we leave you now?"

And there it was. As if it really needed any confirmation, given just how small everything and everyone was around her now: she was a genuine giant. Apparently, for the third day in a row, Georgia had indeed more than doubled in height. As if it could have gotten any more ridiculous. 48 feet, that was simply impossible to believe. It was the sort of stature that did not even seem appropriate to describe any sort of living creature. Were blue whales even that big, she wondered. She dreaded to imagine just how much she weighed on top of that.

Georgia was not exactly sure what to do with that last piece of information, so she simply returned a feeble nod of confirmation to the nurses, instructing them that they could leave at last. The women then departed from the building as briskly as they had arrived.

*

After sitting alone with her thoughts for several minutes after the nurses left, Georgia realised there was nothing more she could really do. She would have to face the world eventually, as painful as that may be. So lifting herself up off the ground, she began to inspect the garments the nurses had brought her. She rested them up against her body and winced in precisely the same way as she had done every morning that week so far. By yet another miraculous hand of fate, they did indeed seem to be close to the perfect size. It all was just as implausible as ever, but there they were. Those nurses had been smaller than the length of her hand, and yet somehow, someone out there had been tasked to fabricate clothing for a monster like her and had managed it.

It was remarkable really. Georgia knew she should have been thankful—after all, the world had so generously provided her with the means to conceal this grotesque body of hers—but she could not find the strength within her to feel happy about it. In fact, she felt mortified. All these revelations were accumulating in her mind like a crushing avalanche of shame. The absurd breakfasts that these people had prepared for her, the enormous clothing, not to mention all of the ridiculous arrangements that the school will have made to accommodate her size during lessons. She had thought yesterday that it could not get any worse, but somehow it had. Even in this world—a world in which she existed as an almost-50 feet tall building-crushing monster—people were still looking after her.

Thinking back on the days prior, and the conversations she had shared with Tristan and Rebecca, Georgia tried to pinpoint what it was that was making her feel so miserable. It was not exactly that she was ashamed of her own body anymore. As massive as she was—and today she was so large she struggled to even make sense of her own scale—in a funny way, she was actually getting used to that aspect. Perhaps it was just shock, or adrenaline. Or perhaps she really was growing accustomed to being so huge. But Georgia's worries at that moment surprisingly no longer centred around her appearance. Now that she was able to look past her own body she realised that something else was gnawing away at her mind now. It was how she felt watching those nurses. Something about the way they just went about their work. That backbreaking job of hauling in those dumpsters and serving that ungodly quantity of food. The way they had been tasked to carry in her clothing. They may have been dressed like nurses, but they were performing the tasks of indentured maids. As if it were some duty they were bound to complete. The head nurse had implied that they had been paid to do it, which was something at least, but still: how much must it have cost to feed and clothe a creature like her.

It was all too preposterous to bear thinking about. The arduous work of ten people had done little more than feed her a modicum of breakfast and bring her two items of clothing. Just like before there were no underwear, bras, socks, or shoes—just a blouse and a skirt.  Apparently, it was acceptable to go to school like this, and that a giant 18-year-old girl striding about the place with huge unsupported breasts and no underwear to speak of was all just perfectly acceptable. What kind of world was this that she found herself in now?

Georgia was forced to conclude that all of this madness was a result of her obsession with feeding her own stupid ego at school. If the previous day's experience was anything to go by this world was all just the same in that regard. As pathetic as that made her seem, even as a 48-foot woman, Georgia presumably remained the model student. The teacher's pet. The girl who never did anything wrong. The one who always got full marks, never missed a day of school, and tried to show everyone else up at every turn. Even though she had now grown into an individual so large that she could easily crush the school under her feet, apparently this version of her had still failed to break out of the same monotonous lifestyle adopted by her old self. It was like she and every version of Georgia across the multiverse were stuck, at odds with a world that had no choice but to accommodate her desire to stay bound to a set of rules that it never imposed on her in the first place. It did not matter whether she was 5, 12,  22, or 48 feet tall—every single universe's version of her was the same at her core. She was a person who was consistently unable to acknowledge the truth of who she really was.

When would it end, Georgia wondered to herself as she held her clothes in her hands. But when she looked inwards, she already knew the answer to that question. If one thing was certain: she was now the only being in existence strong enough to break out of this vicious cycle.

While Georgia thought over what she was going to do about all this, she begrudgingly covered herself in her oversized clothing at last. The impression that they would comfortably fit her was dispelled in an instant. The skirt was downright indecent and did not cover much beyond the first quarter of her thighs, but the blouse somehow even worse. It was hopelessly tight, her chest now being so wide in extent and her breasts so colossal. The top four buttons were hence rendered impossible to fasten. Georgia looked down at her compressed cleavage and the way it blocked out the view of the entirety of her body below it. It was something she still couldn't quite believe she was seeing. Her breasts on the previous two days had been an inconvenience, but these were almost dangerous.

But the more she thought about it, what really was so remarkable about her breasts—especially seeing them close to bursting free of her clothing like that—was just how much they reminded her of certain perverted fantasies she'd once had. There were many nights in fact where she had fallen asleep imagining what she might look like with breasts. Occasionally they would even involve her having a bosom of a similar magnitude to what she now possessed. Perhaps it was all the panic brought on by the rapid transformations of the previous days, but peculiarly Georgia had almost forgotten about those particular fantasies. Certainly, the rest of her present physique was not exactly something that had crossed her mind. But nonetheless, for the very first time that week, Georgia felt a glimmer of excitement attempt to break its way past the thick clouds of despair in her mind.

Looking out of one of the barn's windows, the apparent height of the sun in the sky told her that it was likely around the time she should be getting to school. But it did not even take a second thought for her to decide that today she was not going. What would be the point, she wondered. It was futile. No, today was when everything was going to change.

To break out of this cycle, Georgia knew that she needed to get back to how she felt after talking with Rebecca and Tristan yesterday. That self-confidence she had gained back then. She did not know how she was going to live from now on, but for sure it was not going to be like her old self. Perhaps she had gotten it all wrong last night when she had fallen asleep, praying for the universe to change her back. Whether she had been wrong about what this nightmare was trying to teach her, or wrong about which things were supposed to change, she did not know however. It was possible of course that it was all just meaningless. But whatever the case, there was no point going to bed every night drowning in tormented thoughts, just wishing to be made normal again like magic. This was who she was now. She would accept her lot and be the 48-foot-tall giantess, whether she liked it or not. And if she woke up the next morning 100 feet tall, or god forbid, even 200 feet. She would deal with that too. Who knew, maybe she would find a good use for the curse of immense size that had been bestowed upon her. She was, after all, the most powerful being on the planet now, Tristan had said as much himself, and that was when she was merely half her current size. She was something else entirely now.

*

Clambering out of the entrance at last, Georgia discovered that she was in a familiar location after all. The humungous barn was one she recognised in fact, situated in a field not that far from the edge of town, and close to a river that she and her family had occasionally picnicked beside during the summer. In her memory, that river had been a half-hour drive from her home, but somehow it only took her a few minutes of walking before she spotted the suburbs on the edge of town.

As she glided over the fields and pastures, taking care to avoid the winding country roads that divided them up, Georgia was able to take stock of just how magnificent she was now. A giant really was the right word to describe her, she was almost majestic in a way. Her body was simply larger than almost everything, from horizon to horizon. Although she came across a couple of grand old oak trees that had a few stray branches that were just about taller than her, almost everything in the countryside was dwarfed in comparison.

Even by the time she made it into the town proper, this sensation of her sheer unstoppable enormity did not diminish. Georgia realised that she was almost twice as tall as the typical semi-detached house now, and while she would not have enjoyed doing it, she could probably have stepped cleanly over a row of houses if she had the need to. Even most of the taller buildings were not much of a match for her. She could comfortably peer into the fifth-floor windows of some apartment blocks she passed along her way, and even paused to briefly grab a hold of the spire of a nearby church she came across on the outskirts of town.

Because her body was now far too wide to walk down most of the smaller streets without blocking traffic, almost all of Georgia's usual routes were off-limits to her, forcing her to stick to the main roads. Unfortunately, this did not allow her to avoid the issue of traffic entirely. At one point in her journey, Georgia realised she had no choice but to merge onto the six-laned ring road that encircled the town. Recognising at that moment that she needed to get a better look at the ground, she decided to compress her large breasts out of the way as much as she could with her hands so as to plan more carefully where she would place each step. It felt foolish to be seen groping herself so publicly like that, but the thought of crushing something underfoot was undoubtedly worse.

Georgia walked carefully along the road, taking only very small steps while pretending that her bare feet were just two regular vehicles trying to make their way to work. She found it surprising at first just how skilfully her fellow road-users were able to navigate the road in her presence, but then she recalled the pedestrians she had encountered on her way to school the day before. These people had all learnt long ago how to drive along a road with a giantess walking down it. In fact, they were probably more used to her size than she was. So for the most part, all of the drivers simply dealt with the fact that two car-sized feet were stepping down the highway along with them, and did whatever they needed to accommodate her. Some drivers chose to slow and wait for her to pass, whereas a select few got impatient and sped up—winding their way around her legs to overtake her.

By the time Georgia reached the school, something about the immensity of her body had almost gone to her head. She felt almost intoxicated by it in a way—as if she was appreciating something about herself to which she had previously been blind. When she took a moment to really consider it in full, she could admit to herself that there really was little point in being afraid. It was likely that she was near-indestructible at this size. Even if everyone in the entire school decided to band together to try and vanquish her for whatever reason, there was simply nothing they would be able to do. Perhaps not even the armed forces would be able to defeat her.

From a distance, Georgia looked across the school grounds, sizing herself up. She tried to imagine which of the buildings she would be able to crush underneath her body if the mood struck her. It would be too easy, she thought, not that it was anything she would have an inkling to do. In any case, the school was not her destination that morning. And given that her fellow classmates were only beginning to arrive for their morning lessons, it appeared she still had time to catch Rebecca along her way.

It was only a few steps over the remaining streets until Georgia landed within the grounds of the park. She situated herself in the centre of one of the large playing fields—realistically one of the only locations in the park where she could comfortably stand without getting in the way of someone. Lowering herself to a squatting position, she finally got a better look at the world down below. This time, Georgia knew that she had to take care to press the fabric of her excessively short skirt against her crotch. Her legs were so thick and rippling with muscle that she had gotten away without underwear so far while walking around. However, crouched down like this, there was a much more sizeable risk of flashing her gargantuan womanhood to unfortunate passersby if she did not take sufficient care.

Now much closer to the ground, Georgia was able to study in more detail all of the miniature people going about their tiny business. She inspected the world that only two days ago she used to inhabit. It was uncanny, like a living toy set. Georgia could scarcely believe that she used to be so small. In some ways it felt strange just how peaceful everything looked on that scale. How serene the world was when she was not trying to navigate it. Yet after everything she felt along the walk so far that morning, that sensation did not leave her with a sense of dismay or anxiety. For the very first time in all of this, she didn't feel that she was too big for the world.  She was as big as she was. And if everything and everyone else was really that small and insignificant, so it was.

Scanning left and right, she watched the pedestrians walk along the narrow paths through the park. A few of them were her classmates on their way to school. Unsurprisingly, given the events of the previous two days, none of them recoiled at the sight of the looming giant, studying them from above. They all just kept walking. Occasionally one or two would glance up at her with cautious eyes, but they quickly looked away again—as if to suggest that they were not really that interested in what she was doing there anyway.

Georgia stayed there for some time, making sure to keep an eye on the route that she knew Rebecca would take to school. It was only her that Georgia wanted to see. She was the only thing on her mind. After about ten minutes had gone by though she could sense that her continued presence was becoming something of an inconvenience to those trying to use the park. From the accumulation of some uneasy-looking men in sporting gear along a nearby path, she presumed that her crouching there in that field was now preventing a football game from being played. But it was just her luck that right at that moment Rebecca emerged from the wooded section of the park, trotting along with a rucksack on one shoulder. Georgia stood up to her full height again, glided over the group of men and within a single step was over on the other side of the park ready to intercept Rebecca.

Rebecca spotted the towering woman storming towards her immediately. The tiny girl then sprinted up along the path to where one of Georgia's feet was blocking it, looked directly up towards the sky and waved. She shielded the Sun from her eyes as she did, as if looking up at the steep wall of a vertiginous skyscraper.

"Hey Georgie, what's up? The girl called up at her "What are you doing out here?"

Unfortunately Georgia could barely hear her. So she sighed and crouched down as close to the ground as she could manage.

"I don't know what to tell you Bec, it happened again."

"What?" Rebecca replied, stepping backwards from the bend of Georgia's gigantic knees.

At first it seemed like Rebecca was unsure of what Georgia was implying, but then it hit her.

"Oh, really? That? The memory loss, multiverse-y thing? Yikes, so how big did you think you were this time?"

"About half this size. But it doesn't matter. I no longer have the energy to care anymore. I've decided I'm just going to deal with it."

Rebecca staggered backwards several more steps, her eyes widening in disbelief.

"Seriously!? That's amazing Georgia. You know, after our chat yesterday, Tristan and I were worried that maybe you'd lose your confidence again. But I'm so happy to hear that babe."

Georgia elected not to confess that this loss of confidence was exactly what had happened, and instead got to the matter at hand.

"So what do you say? Shall we ditch school?"

Rebecca's face lit up.

"Fuck yeah! Lead the way, big girl."

This time Georgia did not hesitate before lifting Rebecca into the air. If the girl had been small compared to her before, now she was practically minuscule. Georgia could comfortably wrap her hand around Rebecca's entire body, and have very likely crushed her feeble frame into dust if she had been any less careful. Rebecca clung to her thick fingers as she delicately lifted the girl up high into the air. Then, once standing comfortably standing upon her shoulder like a miniature pet parrot, she held onto Georgia's ear for support and called out,

"Onwards!"

The musclemorphosis (part 6 of 6)

For the first time all week, perhaps for the first time in her life, Georgia felt alive. She felt energised, ready to accept herself for who she was, and ready to appreciate the full extent of what meant. She was a giantess. And it was time to find out what a giantess could do.

So with Rebecca safely standing atop her shoulder, Georgia simply walked forward into the world. She crossed the park, and then the city centre in no time, and soon found herself in the suburbs on the outskirts of town. Rebecca asked several times during the journey where exactly they were going, but Georgia did not reply. In truth, she did not know where she was going. It was too exhilarating just being able to exist in the moment to bother caring about a destination. Georgia was actually enjoying being a giant for the very first time—in fact, she was enjoying being herself for the very first time—and she did not want to spoil that feeling with any of her those bothersome worries or anxieties. Georgia could not quite believe what a thrill it was to simply walk around like this. To just exist in the world as such a monumental being. Somehow she hadn't yet appreciated what a unique viewpoint it offered. Who else could claim to have a view like this?

Nevertheless, despite Rebecca's confusion, from the occasional comments that the girl would speak into her ear, it was clear she was enjoying the ride just as much as Georgia was. She liked to draw Georgia's attention to all of the interesting things that surely only those with their vantage point would be able to spot—the buildings around town that had gardens and swimming pools on their roofs; a yoga class in full swing on the top floor of an office building; even a group of university students in pyjamas passing around cigarettes on the roof of their dormitory, who quickly dispersed when they spotted her loom overhead. Every so often Rebecca would ask Georgia to stop and lean down so they could look into some apartment or office building. The two girls would then peer inside and stifle laughter as everyone tried their best to get on with what they were doing whilst putting up with a giggling giantess and her friend watching them through the window.

Eventually, once they had bored of teasing people through fifth-floor windows, Georgia wandered towards a more convenient location for someone of her stature—a leafy suburb in a quieter part of town. Rebecca tugged on her ear at one point during the trip, asking to be placed down on the roof of a nearby apartment block that seemed to be a good height for her and Georgia to have a conversation at eye level.

"As fun as all this has been Georgie," She began, suddenly out of breath for no obvious reason, "what exactly are we going to do today? I've never known you to want to do anything other than study. What exactly is your plan with all this?"

Georgia had to confess that she had yet to think that far ahead.

"I don't know. I was just enjoying walking around with you, to be honest. Just being out here. I feel so free, Bec. After all of the madness of the last few days. I really can't believe I never just stopped and tried to enjoy being a giant. I'm just so bloody huge, aren't I?

"I mean... yeah, kinda."

"So what do you think I should do?"

Rebecca grinned from ear to ear at that question, and almost looked like she was shuddering from sheer excitement.

"I... have a few ideas," she answered, coyly.

"Tell me!"

The sudden glee with which Georgia had replied seemed to amuse Rebecca.

"I mean, where to begin? I'll be honest babe, I've fantasised about being you a lot—"

"What, really?" Georgia interrupted, unsure of exactly how to feel about that information. "Fantasised doing what?"

Although Rebecca blushed slightly at the question, she continued to smile like a mad woman.

"Don't get me started, I imagined all sorts. Some things that are really not appropriate to tell you... but the thing is Georgie, that was all fantasy. I had no idea what you would actually be able to do..."

"So what did you have in mind for today then?"

"Well, I was thinking that that was exactly what we should do... Seeing as you're finally acknowledging your size, why don't we find out what those ginormous muscles of yours can really do?"

Georgia furrowed her brow.

"How do you mean?"

"You know, test 'em out. See how strong you really are."

It was obvious that Rebecca was demanding some kind of demonstration of strength, but Georgia remained unsure exactly how to provide her with a show like that. So in need of more of a clue, Georgia took Rebecca's directions for where to go next. She pointed them in a direction of a deserted minor road, one which would take them right out of town.

The road wound its way through a sparsely wooded area to the North of the city, lined on both sides by low-hanging trees. Along the way, the branches evidently posed something of a threat to Rebecca, forcing the girl to nestle up close against Georgia's neck for safety as she violently tore through all of the foliage that hung in her way. Georgia wanted to turn around to tidy up the mess of broken branches that she had let fall all over the road below, but growing impatient, Rebecca spurred her on—directing her towards a clearing in the wood up ahead.

Once they had made it out of the forest to what was apparently Rebecca's intended destination, Georgia noticed that they seemed to have arrived at the entrance to an old scrapyard. The yard itself was devoid of life, and possibly disused, with a hefty metal padlock holding the front gates shut. Rebecca remarked that this site was somewhere that she and her father would occasionally visit when they needed to dump old appliances and the like. So after some more words of encouragement—Rebecca ensuring Georgia using some kind of secret know-how that they would not be trespassing—Georgia swallowed her ingrained well-behaved nature and took the single step over the high barbed wire fence that was required of her to stroll inside.

As she walked through the wide muddy paths of the scrapyard, occasionally crushing various pieces of discarded metal underneath her bare feet as she did, Georgia gradually figured out the reason why Rebecca must have brought her there. It seemed her friend was entirely serious about testing the true limits of her strength, and in fairness to her, what better testbed was there than a heap of junk that no one would mind being destroyed into unrecognisable debris?

At first, those mountains of scrap seemed to consist of little more than miscellany—parts of old appliances, half-dismantled machinery, and pile after pile of torn-up tyres. But as Georgia delved further into the yard, eventually they arrived at the jackpot: a humungous pyramid of old rusty cars.

When she spotted it, Rebecca immediately began to jump up and down on Georgia's shoulder in excitement,

"Oh go on Georgie! Smash one!" Rebecca yelled into her ear. "You know you want to! Pick up one of those stupid cars and crush it."

Until that point, unlike Rebecca, Georgia had not allowed herself to get too overexcited about all of this. She may have had a change of heart about who she was, but the sort of mischief that Rebecca was proposing still lay rather dauntingly far out of her comfort zone. Suddenly she felt some of her old sense of obedient self-preservation rear its head again.

"I'm not sure if I can Bec. I can't just destroy stuff for no reason. What if someone still needs them? And anyway, who says I can even pick up an entire car? They'll surely be too heavy to lift, right?"

But Rebecca was obviously unconvinced and gave her earlobe a playful slap.

"Nonsense. Look at those things, they're just rusting away out here like garbage. And don't even try and tell me you think they're too heavy for you. That's a load of rubbish if I've ever heard it. You're a goddess babe."

Rebecca was clearly just trying to goad her into doing it now. Georgia scoffed, pulling her ear away from the girl's tiny hands.

"Okay Bec I get the idea—"

"No" Rebecca yelled suddenly, grabbing her ear back and sternly speaking into it: "I want to hear you say it."

"What are you on about? Say what?"

"That you are a goddess."

Georgia laughed again, and turned her head so she could look directly at Rebecca who remained perched on her left shoulder like a little pixie,

"I'm not saying that, Bec. Don't be silly."

But Rebecca was clearly not taking no for an answer. Her smile had faded now, yet she continued to look dead into Georgia's eyes.

Then, just as Georgia was about to dismiss the idea for a second time, Rebecca suddenly grabbed each one of her cheeks and smooshed them together to prevent her from saying another word. It was clearly quite an effort for her to do this and it forced her to stretch her arms all the way out to reach both cheeks at once.

"I'm not joking babe," she barked into Georgia's face, "I want you to get this through your giant skull okay: you are a goddess. Do you understand? Now say it. What are you?"

This was getting silly now. Who was she to talk to her like this? Georgia had half a mind to pick Rebecca up in between her fingers and flick her away like an annoying bug, but something about the look of cold determination on her face gave Georgia pause.

"Fine. I'm a goddess. Happy now?" She replied dismissively after a few beats, the feeble reluctance in her voice obviously undermining the meaning of what she was saying.

"No, properly. Say it again. What are you?" Rebecca repeated.

"Bec..."

"Say it!"

"Okay, okay! I... I'm a... goddess." Georgia said again. It still felt as foolish as the first time even just to say those words out loud, but in her flustered state, they had come out sounding much more convincing than she expected.

"Again." Rebecca kept on, squeezing her cheeks together even harder.

"I'm a goddess." Georgia returned once more. Her voice was now unaccountably commanding in tone, despite her remaining hesitation.

"Good. And what are you going to do?"

"I... I'm going to smash those cars!" Georgia called out suddenly without needing to think.

Having accomplished what she set out to do, Rebecca smiled and removed her hands from Georgia's cheeks at last.

"Yes! I can't wait. But, if you don't mind, please put me down before you do it. You may be indestructible but little old me's not gonna survive a 50-foot fall."

That was the first sensible thing that Rebecca had said so far, so Georgia did as she was told, and placed her friend down on the top of the control booth of a nearby crane.

Georgia then turned to the matter at hand: the cars. Coming up to the height of her mid-chest, the pile was probably only around 40 feet tall, so Georgia decided to pick the car that lay right at the peak of the pyramid. It was a rusted blue hatchback, similar to the one her parents used to drive back when she was small. The car itself was only a little longer than her handspan, but quite easy to pick up once she had got her fingers around the chassis. She then casually lifted it into the air with negligible effort.

Georgia had been speaking honestly when she had told Rebecca that she didn't believe that she would be able to pick up a car. But the instant she took a hold of the rusted contraption she realised how foolish that assumption had been. Even before she had lifted the thing up mere feet into the air she could feel the metalwork bend and buckle under her grip. She managed to get the vehicle up to her head height without having to clench down too hard, but as she tightened her grip whilst bringing it up to her face, it became clear just how fragile the vehicle was. Sensing that the car was seconds away from collapsing now, curiosity got the better of her and she clenched down even tighter. She had thought that she was applying the force as gradually as she could manage, but to her surprise, the car just crumpled up into a pathetic gnarled mess of metal in seconds. From the way she had destroyed it so easily, anyone looking on would have likely thought that the vehicle was made of little more than a piece of origami.

Rebecca had already begun to squeal the instant that Georgia picked up the car, but after seeing the thing disintegrate in her fist like that, the girl was practically beside herself.

"What in the actual fuck Georgia? Did you see that!? Look at what you did to that thing!" She screamed from her lookout point on top of the crane.

Even Georgia found herself laughing at just how feeble she made the car look in her hand.

"It was so... easy... it's like it's nothing for me."

"I mean, duh! So what now? I want more!"

It seemed Rebecca was still not satisfied, so Georgia decided that it couldn't hurt to keep going a bit longer. Setting herself upon some further piles of disused scrap, she found that she was easily able to pick up great armfuls of the stuff and compress them into densely packed and misshapen balls. Several times in a row she did this, letting the heavy clumps of compacted metal drop to the floor and form deep craters in the mud about her feet.

The rest of the pyramid of cars faired little better. Georgia made her way through twenty further vehicles: flattening them in between her palms; crumpling them up into unrecognisable shapes, and even tearing a few in two. Absolutely nothing so far seemed to give any resistance whatsoever, and she was able to disfigure entire machines that lay around the place as if they were little more than flimsy children's toys.

Dissatisfied with the cars and scrap metal, all of which were simply too feeble for her, Georgia instead decided to move towards something that seemed a bit more robust. She turned to a nearby brick wall that loomed high above the yard. The wall appeared to belong to the neighbouring building—a similarly decaying and disused construction, the remnants of an old manufacturing plant that at one point had connected to the scrapyard. Although still quite uncertain about what she was about to do to the wall, at least this idea was a step up from a bunch of rusty old cars.

Taking a sharp intake of breath to prepare herself, Georgia then angled herself in front of the factory and launched forward an almighty punch directly into the wall. In that very instant Georgia realised how misplaced her concerns had been—the building put up no fight whatsoever. Her fist went smashing through the brick wall so easily that she wondered if she had even touched it at first. It was only when the dust and debris had settled that Georgia noticed that her thick vein-lined forearm was now half-embedded inside the building, having just destroyed most of the outer wall and even some of the concrete floors in the interior.

Retrieving her arm from the rubble, Georgia then turned to Rebecca who was sitting cross-legged on the crane and giving her a muted round of applause. Georgia was surprised to see her react like that, having half-expected Rebecca to be gleefully extolling that raw display of unstoppable strength. Instead, for some reason, the girl looked almost disappointed.

"It's just not enough is it? You're too powerful." Rebecca called up to her as Georgia lowered herself down to the ground again.

"I know." Georgia admitted, noticing in the process of answering that she was suddenly grinning from ear to ear.

Although Georgia was experiencing a thrill like no other, having finally witnessed just the very beginnings of what she must have been capable of, Rebecca was still correct in her assessment—this was nowhere near her limit. It seemed there was nothing in that junkyard that stood up to Georgia's godlike levels of strength. Even an entire building didn't seem strong enough. So the two friends, agreed that the problem lay not with Georgia, but with the feeble world that surrounded them, and they decided to move on.

Once Georgia had stepped out of the scrapyard again, her friend had yet another idea. Pointing to the trees that lined the road that had taken them to the scrapyard, Rebecca begged Georgia to go to town on them instead. Georgia resisted at first, thinking that it was unnecessary to harm a living thing for little more than their own amusement, but eventually, the curiosity got the better of her. So once she had found a nearby tree whose trunk seemed about the same diameter as her handspan, Georgia gave it a light pull just to test the idea out. Unsurprisingly, the thing lifted right out of the ground as if it was not much more than a garden weed. Again, the ease with which she was able to rip a fully grown tree straight out of the Earth surprised the both of them. If something as timeless and majestic as a tree was no match for her, it was likely that not much else would be.

Admittedly though, the trees did put up more of a fight than the cars. There was also something about the sensation of ripping the tree out of the ground that Georgia found to be uniquely satisfying. It was exhilarating in a way that something, at last, had actually caused her the need to exert herself and flex those powerful muscles of hers—even as minor as that exertion really was in the grand scheme of things. So putting aside her previous reservations, she followed Rebecca's advice and began to uproot more trees. Trunk after trunk, she yanked them out of the ground, spending only minimal effort each time. All the while, Rebecca just continued to shout words of encouragement, while clinging to her ear for dear life as she went down for another tree.

After Georgia had built up a worryingly large pile of discarded trees in a nearby field, Rebecca momentarily caught Georgia's attention again to try and convince her to test herself on something bigger. She pointed to one of the mighty oaks that lay off in the centre of the field and tried to spur her onwards like before. But Georgia had to put her foot down somewhere, and this definitely seemed like it was going too far. That tree was hundreds of years older than they were, after all, and putting it to such a violent end seemed wholly unnecessary.

Having exhausted all of the more obvious objects around them that could have stood a chance at confronting Georgia's might, the two friends were now at a loss. But then, after scanning the landscape for while for some kind of alternative solution to test Georgia's strength further, Rebecca posed an idea. Pointing towards the field where Georgia had been stacking the uprooted trees, she made the rather dubious suggestion that the only natural step now was for Georgia to test herself against the Earth itself.

Once again uncertain about what her slightly mad and obviously power-hungry friend had in mind—in a way the girl seemed to be having even more fun testing Georgia's strength than she was—Georgia stepped over the hedgerows and made her way out to the middle of the pasture as suggested.

But even after ensuring that they had not alerted any animals or, god forbid, any local farmers, Georgia still hesitated at the very idea Rebecca was proposing.

"Go on Georgie, just do it. Go to town on it." Rebecca moaned, her spindly legs bouncing playfully off of Georgia's collarbone.

"I still don't understand what you mean, are you seriously suggesting that I just punch the ground?"

"Yeah, why not?"

"I don't know, it just seems moronic," Georgia mumbled as she looked down at the ground where Rebecca was telling her to pummel it for no reason at all.

"Well have you got any better ideas? You were the one who refused to tear that building down. So I think this is the next best thing."

Although the suggestion remained patently absurd, Georgia had indeed already refused Rebecca's last suggestion that she demolish the abandoned factory next to the scrapyard. At least, in principle, this idea wasn't in danger of hurting anyone, or damaging property that someone might still care about. At worst, it would just annoy whichever farmer owned the field. So how silly could it really be to just punch the ground a little, Georgia thought to herself, as thoughtless and barbaric as that idea was.

Nonetheless, Georgia had no better ideas, so after placing Rebecca out of harm's way at the very edge of the field, she set herself up. She opened her legs as wide as they would go and bent her body down towards the ground until it was within arm's reach. As before, she felt some of her innate anxieties return at the thought that it could all go horribly wrong. So she took a moment to pause. In and out, she breathed slowly and meditatively, settling her nerves down again. Then, once she was ready, a few seconds later, she unleashed hell on the ground below. With a series of monumental punches, she pummelled her fists into the dirt.

The sound of her fists crashing into the Earth was like the rain of hundreds of humungous meteorites striking the Earth. The deafening rumble was frightening, but nowhere near as terrifying as the shockwaves. She could see them ripple across the ground, causing the grass and strands of wheat to sway in a series of circular waves that propagated outwards from where she stuck the ground. Rebecca seemed to remain unharmed, but it was clear that she could feel the magnitude of Georgia's effect on the land. After only a couple of punches, the girl almost toppled over from the tremors and was forced to splay her legs out to balance herself against the rumbling ground.

But as ridiculous as Rebecca's wild idea was already proving to be, Georgia could not deny the fact that this was actually testing her. At last, there was an immovable object that could stand up to her unstoppable force. But now, she needed more. She had to go deeper. So Georgia kept on punching. One fist after the other, she destroyed the ground beneath her. Huge clumps of dirt and rock were flung into the air, as an ever-deepening crater formed between her feet.

After a few more earth-shattering slams, Georgia noticed that the crater she was forming had become too precarious to remain standing over for much longer. She estimated that the divot she had now created in the land was at least 20-foot deep, and as wide as her outstretched legs. All of the topsoils had dispersed now and the only thing preventing her from digging deeper was hard rock, and even this was beginning to crumble away underneath her fists. And still, Georgia had felt almost no exertion whatsoever, suggesting that she could probably have kept smashing her way through the solid bedrock for hours with little in the way of impediment. She wondered if a career as some kind of powerful piece of human earthmoving equipment might be on the cards for her, once all was said and done.

Nevertheless, as amusing as all of this was, Georgia had no mind to stay there all day creating a borehole to take them to the other side of the Earth. She knew it had to stop at some point, as Georgia was beginning to worry about the effect she was now having on the landscape. Just like with the small forest of trees she had decimated for no real reason, all of this business was really rather unnecessary. And now the poor owner of the field was going to have to deal with a gigantic crater somehow. So Georgia decided then to draw her mindless destruction of the ground to a close and turned back to Rebecca. After letting her friend inspect the crater for herself—albeit not too closely given that it was many times wider and deeper than her entire body—Georgia cleared some of the loose dirt back into it as best she could, and the two friends moved on.

*

The next item on Rebecca's list of requests was a visit to the school. She half-jokingly suggested that Georgia walk up and demolish a building just for fun, only to be quickly reminded that the destruction of any further buildings, especially ones with people inside was not one of the available options. Although even as she said this, Georgia could admit there was something in the idea that appealed to her. After all, despite how much she loved going to school, she felt bitter towards it in some ways, perhaps simply because of how it had facilitated the self-destructive and egotistical behaviour that had landed her in this predicament in the first place.

So eventually Georgia agreed that while she would not destroy the school as Rebecca suggested, they could still go and have a look at it. The pair of them walked back to the park and sat together on the high grassy slope of the central hill overlooking the school until the afternoon. While they sat there together, with Rebecca now adopting a somewhat more comfortable position on top of the swell of Georgia's left breast, the two friends took advantage of the brief moment of peace to reassess everything that had happened so far.

One of the issues still nagging at Georgia's mind was how she had even been able to function in this world, given that the sheer size of her body was far beyond anything remotely feasible for other people to deal with. But just as the nurses had surprised her that morning by conjuring up her school uniform, so too was Georgia astonished to learn about all of the new accommodations the school had made for her in this world. Rebecca pointed out all of the conspicuous additions to grounds that she had no memory of. All around the perimeter of the main classrooms, Georgia spotted the makeshift wooden constructions—stations, apparently, that the school had prepared just for her to attend classes. She had supposedly taken all of her lessons that way: kneeling down beside the rickety scaffolding that serviced as desks, and then looking in through the high windows.

Rebecca explained that this state of affairs was how it had been for years—even since before the beginning of high school. Apparently, as a 13-year-old, Georgia had already grown beyond 20 feet tall, and the school had begun the preparations for their incoming giant student months before she showed up on her first day. Ever since she topped 30 and then 40 feet tall years later, the school had to both raise up all of these colossal desks, whilst also ensuring that all of her classes were moved to second and third-floor classrooms. Georgia was now over double the height of the school and all of her classes during her finals year had been moved to the highest possible floors. And yet, amazingly, Georgia had kept up with all of her lessons regardless. Never failing to turn in all of her work on time, and completing everything to perfection. She even managed to remain the dutiful teacher's pet—always calling out answers and providing intelligent insights, despite the fact that her body was physically larger than the school itself and that she remained perpetually trapped outside of it.

According to Rebecca though, the school's accommodations went even beyond those  monstrosities of wooden scaffolding that surrounded the buildings. It seemed that Georgia had been provided with all of the necessary paraphernalia a schoolgirl might have needed to take her classes—only in sizes hundreds of times larger than normal. Rebecca described, using exaggerated gestures of her arms, the way she would have to pass these humungous implements out of the classroom window to her giant friend waiting outside. These included colossal pens, pencils and highlighters, as well as vast reams of folded paper the size of billboard posters upon which she would copy her answers to homework and exams.

As Georgia had grown to expect already, everything else about the world in which she existed as a 48-foot-tall schoolgirl was much the same as her old one. She may have had to complete her exams on absurdly huge pieces of paper, but she still received full marks on them all anyway. At any point during the previous two days, this would have either delighted Georgia or made her want to cry, depending on her mood at the time. But on this occasion she felt neither of those extremes. In fact, she realised then that worrying or obsessing about such trivial things was unnecessary. It was long past time that she disconnected herself from her old reality—the Georgia that lived there was an old version anyway, not just physically, but emotionally as well.

Rebecca and Georgia continued to chat about her school years, but again the two worlds were so remarkably similar that there was not much to learn. It seemed the only thing that was radically different was PE—which unsurprisingly, was now totally off limits for her. Given that there was simply no activity in existence that she could safely participate in, there was not much point in even getting involved. It seemed instead that Georgia would often sit cross-legged on the playing field during PE, just watching the other normal-sized girls play their games—if they happened to be outside that is, if not, she would just be forced to sit around outside on her own.

Georgia then grew curious about how a giant like her could have made any sort of friends at all at such a hopelessly inaccessible size. Unfortunately, the answer to that was not something that made her especially happy. Rebecca was her only close friend, and like in her old world, everyone else in this one generally disliked her just the same. Yet Georgia found herself unbothered by this fact as well: she did have Rebecca, her longest and best friend, who else could she need? Rebecca then enthusiastically recounted the story of how they first met, back in the playground at kindergarten. It was all much as she remembered, the only notable difference being that Georgia at the time was already a terrifying musclebound 11-foot-tall girl.

Intriguingly, Georgia learned that, back then, she had actually been much more comfortable about her size. She even used to make a habit of offering the other children at preschool rides around the playground on her shoulders. Rebecca howled with laughter as she described fateful instances where the 5-year-old Georgia had decided to pick up unsuspecting teachers, thinking that they would enjoy the ride as well—clearly this was several years before she would understand that grown adults generally did not like to be manhandled by hulking musclebound toddlers twice their size.

Sadly, as Georgia had already suspected, that happy carefree period of her life was short-lived. As she got older and continued to grow even more enormous with every passing day, the obvious differences between her and everyone else started to weigh heavy on her tender mind. Eventually, the ordeal must have drained her of all of the confidence she once had. So as the years went by, that former exuberant young giantess receded inwards and the current Georgia—perpetually anxious, and full of internalised disgust over her own appearance—was left to languish at the surface.

However, the most distressing realisation, after learning all of this from Rebecca, was just how familiar the beats of this story were when compared to the life she remembered. Sure, all of the details about her body could not have been more different, but everything else—her closing off from the world, and turning into the nervous wreck who could barely even travel a few miles out of any environment familiar to her—that had all played out identically. Georgia could remember back when she was very young, just how happy and confident she had been, and how quickly she withered away once she got to high school. The timelines matched up exactly, but of course, the causes were exactly the opposite. Whereas in her old world it had been watching Rebecca and all the other girls grow into tall, beautiful women that caused her to lose confidence, in this world, it had been growing into a 50-foot-tall woman and leaving all of those girls far behind. Once again, Georgia had to pause to weigh up the irony in all of this.

Now that Georgia had a better picture of the world in which she lived, eventually, the conversation turned to Tristan. It was inevitable really, he had been on Georgia's mind all morning, but until now she had been too wary of Rebecca's feelings about it.

"Honestly Bec, you don't have to worry about it." She explained, after deciding to broach the issue at last. "I've liked him for longer than I can remember. I just really can't understand why it upsets you so much. Is it just because we're friends?"

Rebecca was on her front now but still lying down at the top of one of Georgia's compressed breasts. She had been happily chatting away until now, but after the topic of Tristan came up it was like a dark cloud had drifted over her. She chewed on her lip in thought before responding.

"Oh, Georgia... I mean, no... I always knew you would probably be perfect for each other. And I know you've liked each other for so long. But I just felt like it was my responsibility to keep you safe. It sounds stupid to say after all the stuff you did this morning, but you always seemed so fragile to me. I wanted to protect you from getting hurt."

"I'm nearly an adult, Bec. I think it's time I get to make that decision for myself."

Georgia surprised herself with how mature that answer made her sound. But it caused Rebecca to chuckle softly.

"Well, you've proven that much..." She remarked, her eyes drifting away from Georgia for a beat.

"So you wouldn't mind if Tristan and I...?" Georgia began before trailing off.

Rebecca paused, scanning the landscape below them for a while, before turning to look Georgia in the eyes again.

"Whatever, be my guest. You know what, I should probably be more worried about him getting hurt, right? I think you can handle yourself."

The pair then laughed together, the tense atmosphere finally lifting. Georgia tried her best not to let the eager grin on her face reveal just how excited the receipt of permission from Rebecca made her feel.

*

The two friends had spent so long talking that afternoon, that it was now approaching the end of the school day. Off in the distance, they could now see that their classmates were filing out of the school and taking off on their various routes home. A few minutes later Rebecca spotted a group of boys walking along the far edge of the park, a few hundred metres from the hillside on which they were sat. For some reason, Rebecca seemed especially excited to see them, and encouraged Georgia to stampede across the park and "kick the shit out of them". But Georgia refused. Although she knew who the boys were—they were the same ones who had often delighted in making fun of Georgia's height back in her old body, and by the same logic likely this one too—she had no desire to enact any sort of vengeance upon them.

"Oh please, those guys are such assholes." Rebecca continued to moan at her while crawling upwards along Georgia's body so she could tug on strands of hair. "Don't you want to just mess with them a bit? They're the ones who still call you Georgia the Giant."

Georgia found herself laughing at the appropriateness of the nickname.

"You know, I don't think I mind that name, that's what I am, isn't it?"

"Oh come on Georgie," Rebecca whined, "Regardless of whether you like it or not, they're twats. I think they should be the first to learn about this new outlook on life you've got now."

Georgia pondered this thought for a while. In reality, she knew she did not actually have to hurt them in any way—perhaps just frightening them a little wouldn't be so bad. So after yet more bargaining from Rebecca, Georgia finally relented and took the command to stomp off down the hill towards the boys.

There were three of them down there, one on a bicycle and two of them kicking rocks at a nearby wall for no apparent reason—in the way that boys like that seemed to enjoy doing. She had expected the three of them to scarper the second they could feel the rumbling of her footsteps through the Earth, but it appeared that she was too fast for them. Even after she had brought herself up so close that she could barely even see their little bodies beneath the canopy of her own bosom, they had still not attempted an escape. The boys merely stayed there, bathing in a vast shadow created by Georgia's body, and continued what they were doing. It seemed they had not received the memo yet about the local giantess's change of heart.

Eventually though, one of the boys did look up, and when he did his face drained of all colour. He nudged his companions and the trio exchanged a look that suggested they had made a grave error in not leaving while they had the chance. Georgia could not determine what it was that they saw that made them change their minds—whether it was the way that Rebecca was standing on her shoulder scowling at them, or perhaps just the look of steely resolve on her own face—but at that moment the boys saw something and immediately started to make their escape.

"Do something! They're getting away!"

"What would you have me do? I'm not going to just squish them Bec."

"Oh for God's sake just pick 'em up for me will you, I'll handle it from there."

Georgia did as requested. Bending down to the ground, she swiped two of the boys who were in the process of running away. It took no effort for her whatsoever given how far she could reach and how quickly she could move. The two boys squirmed and writhed around in her fists, crying out for the third one who had long since sped off down the path on his bike.

"Hahaha! How do you like that?" Rebecca started to yell scornfully at them. "Have you met Georgia the Giant before lads? She's a very big and strong girl, isn't she? I think you ought not to mess with her."

"Put us down!"

"You're hurting me!"

Came the pitiful squeals of the two boys in response.

"What do you want me to do with them?" Georgia asked Rebecca calmly, as she peered at the two of them up close, one after the other.

"I want them to apologise" Rebecca replied, before being quickly interrupted by the instant apologies of the two boys.

"I'm sorry!"

"Yes I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Georgia." The two boys called out unprompted.

"Huh. That was easy." Rebecca muttered, sounding somehow dissatisfied with what had been a remarkably rapid and successful outcome.

Even though they had ostensibly achieved what Rebecca had set out to accomplish, Rebecca's lust for further torment was not satiated, as only seconds later, did she start requesting more forms of punishment. She tried to get Georgia to squeeze them a bit in her fists at first, but this Georgia refused. It was obviously a bad idea, she claimed, given that she was still not fully cognisant of how strong she truly was. So instead, Rebecca tried to get Georgia to toss them across the field and into a nearby lake. And again Georgia shot the idea down—this time claiming that she was not sure exactly how much restraint she would need to show to avoid overshooting it and having them to end up impaled on the park fence.

Then finally, after yet more insane requests from Rebecca—many of which were so absurd they did not seem to have any possible outcome that would not involve killing the boys—she finally held up her hands and said,

"I don't know Georgia, why not just stick 'em in your cleavage and knock 'em about with your giant tits if you're so worried about hurting them."

"Rebecca!" Georgia cried out, shocked at her friend's use of such coarse language.

"Oh lighten up babe, I'm just giving you options here. You're the one who's refusing to play along. So why not? Who knows, they may even like it. They're very soft, I can tell you."

Georgia was growing impatient now and had a mind to just put the squirming boys down and send them on their way, but a part of her felt a dim glimmer of excitement at Rebecca's latest idea. She had to admit that the cleavage she was now in possession of was incredibly impressive, and she had caught herself inadvertently staring down into it all day. In her manic state over the last few days, she hadn't really allowed herself the time to appreciate her breasts as much as she ought to. It was only after her perspective on her predicament had changed that she could finally bask in her newfound bustiness, and today she was far bustier than she would ever have thought possible. If Georgia really dug deep, she knew that secretly she'd always wanted huge, magnificent breasts like these, even though she had never allowed herself to admit it. Granted, she hadn't exactly imagined having the single largest pair of breasts in existence, but still, now that she had them, why shouldn't she be allowed to enjoy them?

So after thinking on it for a while, in a moment of wild abandon Georgia replied,

"Alright then,"

and promptly stuffed both boys feet first into her cleavage. Her boobs were so colossal now that even a single one was larger than both of them put together. Once they were inside it was clear that her breasts had been squashed together so tightly by her school blouse that her victims were rendered totally immobile. In fact, there probably would have been space for the third boy too if he had not run off.

"Oh my good god! Look at them!" Rebecca howled. "How's that boys? How does it feel to have two ginormous titties squishing your pathetic little bodies like that? I bet it feels wonderful, right? Just be careful or she might try and crush you with them."

Down below, the boys were continuing to try and wriggle out of their soft fleshy trap, but it was no use, the seal was far too tight and there was nothing within their reach to gain purchase on.

"Just let us out! I'm going to suffocate in these things"

One of them cried, the other continuing to flail his arms around, trying to grab at sections of Georgia's soft bosom all around him.

"Help! I don't want to die in a pair of giant boobs!"

The boy cried out pitifully at anyone who might have been listening, and even Georgia found herself laughing at that.

Soon enough though the two friends both realised that what they were engaging in did go quite a way beyond mere bullying, and was probably closer to assault. So Georgia finally managed to convince Rebecca that it was time to let them go.

Extracting the two scrawny bodies from in between her breasts, Georgia set them down on the ground again. Just to add one final blow to their egos though she made sure to give them each a condescending pat on the back using a giant hand that was as large as their entire bodies.

"I reckon they'll think twice before calling me a beanpole next time, don't you think?"

Rebecca remarked as they watched the boys scarper off to the other side of the park.

"Definitely if I'm around," replied Georgia, chuckling to herself.

After the incident with the boys, Rebecca and Georgia decided to spend the rest of the afternoon walking around the town. The view from 48 feet above the ground seemed to enthuse them both equally, and they could not cease commenting on all of the things they could spot in the windows of the buildings they passed. With Rebecca sitting in her usual place on her left shoulder, Georgia wandered about the town aimlessly, pushing her body through whichever streets looked up to the challenge of accommodating her colossal frame.
Unfortunately, the longer Georgia stayed, the more she got the sense that her continued presence in the busy heart of the town was causing something of a commotion. Admittedly, it was approaching rush hour and the traffic was building.

So after a while, a crowd began to form at the giantess's feet wherever she went. Rebecca had been pestering for her to peer inside yet more apartment blocks, but Georgia felt it was long past the time they departed. From the growing panic that seemed to be forming down below, she had to guess that it wasn't common for her to be spending this long wandering around the streets like this—holding up traffic and scraping her massive muscular body against buildings and offices constantly.

Georgia felt keenly now that the longer they stayed there, the more likely it was that she would inevitably break something important. In fact, she had damaged a great deal around the town already that afternoon. One lamppost on the main thoroughfare passing through the town now had an alarming 90-degree bend in it, and many of the more fragile pavements had large footprints imprinted in them. She had also unfortunately smashed a worrying number of windows now, after trying to get herself through tighter spaces than she should have, and inadvertently pressing a bulging muscle or breast inside of a building in the process.

The latest misadventure that was now causing frustration down at street level was that she had apparently stepped on and flattened a magazine kiosk. Although she had lowered Rebecca down to the ground to try and explain that they did plan to pay for the damage, Georgia knew that this was her signal to leave. The day had been fun, but she was mentally exhausted now, and felt that it was about time to go somewhere better suited to her enormity.

So that is how Georgia, and Rebecca perched upon her shoulder, found themselves travelling back to where they always went at times like this: to the park. The park had been their constant throughout their life, especially over the last few days, and indeed now more than ever it seemed to be the best place for her. It was the only environment close to the centre of town that was spacious enough for her to simply exist and not damage anything—the numerous large muddy footprints scattered across the playing fields notwithstanding.

So with the sunset approaching, the two of them decided that what better way to pass the evening than to scale the central hill? The hill was famed in the region and was the centrepiece of the park—it was known for offering the best views of the town and was a popular spot, especially with teenagers like them. It was a hill that Georgia had memories of climbing on many summer evenings like this one. What was different back then of course was how much of a trek the gentle slope had felt at the time. She recalled how hopelessly exhausted by the end of the climb she always used to feel, especially chasing after the athletic and long-legged Rebecca. But that day, with said athlete now resting like a helpless pet upon her shoulder, Georgia scaled the hill like it was nothing. It required little more than ten easy strides before she was at the top. Georgia even found the time to stop halfway through to offer a ride to another small group of teenagers attempting the same climb. The group of squealed with enthusiasm as she whisked them through the air at stomach-churning speed in her hands, only to drop them at the summit mere moments later.

And there they sat: Georgia the Giant and her best friend, watching the Sun go down over the town silhouetted against the horizon. The air was still and the atmosphere up there  was pleasant and tranquil. The only other sounds were coming from the scattered groups having drinks or picnics up on the hill as well. Occasionally members of those groups approached Georgia, seemingly taking an interest in what the town giantess was doing up there with them. Georgia humoured their questions for the most part given that they seemed out of curiosity more than anything.

As she had expected, many people's enquiries centred around what it was the two of them had been up in town that afternoon. A few, it seemed, had been present in the office buildings that she and Rebecca had been peering into giggling, and few had even been unfortunate enough to have been inside a building having its windows shattered by a giant invading breast or muscular buttock.

From the talk amongst the other groups of teenagers up on the hill, it seemed the rumours about the sudden change in behaviour of the local giantess were already in the process of circulating. Georgia could acknowledge that at one point in time she would have found all of that public talk about her utterly mortifying, but oddly enough, at that moment, she did not. In fact, she even managed to come up with some jokey comebacks of her own, bouncing off of the quips that Rebecca would make when someone remarked about her antics during the day. It was almost as though none of it really mattered all that much.

But after a while, the other groups all dispersed, leaving the two friends alone together at the top of the hill. Given that it was twilight already and would soon grow dark, they both agreed that it was probably about time to head back too—Rebecca to her home, and Georgia, presumably back to her barn on the outskirts of town. But just before they were about to depart they heard someone down below.

"Evening you two."

Georgia turned around at once, recognising the voice immediately.

"Tristan! How did you know we were here." She called down excitedly, her heart thumping at the mere sight of him.

"Don't be daft, we can all see you from miles around up here. I spotted you on my way home, thought I'd come to say hi."

"That's great! Would you like a seat?" Georgia replied,

"I would. I'll take the one you offered to Alex and Derrick, if you don't mind."

Those were presumably the names of the boys that she had manhandled earlier that afternoon, Georgia guessed.

"You pervert! How did you know about that" Rebecca shouted back angrily on her behalf.

"Seriously? Everyone's been talking about it, those two are down there bragging about how they got to feel up Georgia the Giant's boobs."

Rebecca groaned.

"That is not what happened, that was supposed to be a punishment."

"Relax, Bec. I assumed as much. And Georgie, a spot on the other shoulder will be just fine."

Georgia had found the conversation between Tristan and Rebecca far too amusing to anything in the way of comments of her own. Even the idea of those two idiot boys trying to pass off what she did to them as some kind of perverted game was hilarious to her. Most of all though, when she reflected on that brief conversation, Georgia found herself surprised at just how comfortable she was with it. How she had listened to her friends openly commenting on her body. It was something that she never thought she would be able to listen to before, not in this body, and certainly not in her old ones. And at the same time, her two friends seemed comfortable doing it as well. Perhaps this lent credit to the idea that her new sense of self-acceptance was clear even in the way she carried herself.

Tristan made himself comfortable on her other shoulder, and the couple shared a brief and familiar kiss—yielding an over-the-top gagging noise from Rebecca on the other shoulder.

"Get a room you two."

She yelled out. Although she was clearly trying to put on an air of disgust, anyone could tell the girl was not speaking with any genuine disdain. Tristan paid the protestations of his sister no mind and continued to kiss the gigantic lips that now utterly dwarfed his own.

For the rest of that evening, Georgia the Giant and her two best friends sat together watching the sun fall below the horizon. The summer evenings were long, and they knew it was probably getting much later than they realised, but they did not care. They had so much to talk about now that Georgia had finally broken free of the thick shell that she had built around herself throughout her entire teenage life. She sensed the relief in both Rebecca and Tristan thanks to this, and for the first time in her recent memory, the trio were able to have a deep and well-balanced conversation—one in which Georgia did not merely sit in silence, but participated and opened up like she always wished she would one day be able to do.

Georgia even felt that she now had the confidence to ask Tristan questions about himself, and in doing so she remembered all the reasons she had fallen for the boy in the first place. It was not just his good looks, or the fact that he, by some stroke of cosmic luck, happened to have a thing for enormous women. Tristan was also funny, smart, hard-working, and shared Rebecca's quick and wicked wit that was what Georgia loved most about her. She felt so smitten for the boy that evening, that Georgia had to try her best not to just sit there grinning like a fool whenever he spoke.

Of course, what Georgia and Tristan evidently both wanted was to spend some more time kissing. And while Rebecca humoured their frequent pecks on the cheek, Tristan's frequent half-joking requests to climb inside of Georgia's cleavage were less to her amusement. But Rebecca did not get a say over her anymore, Georgia had decided on that. So while stuffing the boy in between her breasts seemed a little inappropriate for that moment, she did take to kissing him whenever she wanted. After all, it did not require much effort. All she had to do was scoop him up off of her shoulder, and press his tiny little body up against her mouth to give him yet another almighty slobbery kiss. Rebecca pretended to be annoyed every time, but Georgia could tell from the way she would cackle with laughter as Tristan wiped the huge drops of saliva from his face and clothes after every kiss, that she had her friend's blessing.

Even when it got past midnight and the only light around was the glow from the town below, they still did not want to leave that hillside. They knew it was long past time to go home, but they weren't ready. Though they did not convey the thought to each other verbally, they all collectively held onto the belief that, if they stayed there atop that hill, it was possible the day might last forever. Even once they exhausted all their conversation, and Georgia could sense her companions growing tired, they still saw no reason to leave. So instead, Georgia, Rebecca and Tristan decided to all sleep together, lying down under the summer stars.

The weather was warm enough to camp outdoors at this time of year, but even so, a place on top of Georgia's spacious and firm abdomen provided all the body heat the siblings could ever need. Georgia didn't need much to get comfortable at her size anyway, so she was able to angle herself so as to give her two friends a nice broad surface to lie on. Although her stomach was packed with firm muscle, her breasts were soft and more than large enough to serve as generous pillows for them both. Rebecca and Tristan lay down side by side on top of her, while she used her biceps to press her bosom together so as to support their heads. Rebecca tried to intervene when she spotted Tristan a little too-enthusiastically plumping up his awaiting pillows, but even she could accept that Georgia's body was far too enticing a bed to not have a little fun with.

The siblings seemed to fall asleep almost immediately, but as exhausted as she herself was, it took Georgia much longer than she expected to drift off. Her mind kept wanting to replay the events of the day. It was something she often used to do before going to sleep—normally this was just another way to torture herself by painfully reliving all of the embarrassing moments she had suffered through that day. But especially when compared to the previous two nights, when Georgia replayed everything that had happened over the week, she felt nothing but joy. There was no shame, no dismay over her every misfortune, no dread for what was to come. For the first time, she actually felt at peace with herself.

So that night, Georgia Samson no longer cared what would happen when she woke up. What did it matter how her body would look come the morning? It could be her old one, or it could be one 100 feet tall for all she cared. All she could do was close her eyes and see what fate brought her.
