Not sure where to go from here, but I had this idea so for now here goes:

Nice concept.  I think the story would be how the teacher got from our world to this, and then the scene you've written would be the ending.

Many writers tentatively decide what ending they want before they start writing their stories, (just normally don't tell the readers). 

So go back to the beginning: a 18 y/o high school graduate starting university to gain a bachelors of education degree.  Maybe 5'0" and 95 pounds.  Skinny, unathletic, but smart and cunning.  Something like that.
