 Cool topic !  i agree similar . Would also say early 90's fbb as well . Maybe some were a touch bigger but still close .

The muscular development are proportions are very similar (mostly of the second half of the 80s), but honestly, the present day extreme conditioning is not helping the competitors: they look too dry and veiny just to show a few more striations, and imho it takes away a lot of aesthetic points.

I agree, and I suspect modern extreme conditioning takes more of a long term toll on the bodies of competitors. I'm not sure that that's good for the long-term health of the sport as a whole, but what do I know.
