What is everyone's favorite time period for fbb ? For me i think between 2001-2006 was a great time . It may have not been like 90's with espn shows . But you had so many women come along in their primes during this period . Yaxeni , Gina Davis , Jody May , Elena Seiple , Colette Nelson , Andrulla Blanchette , to name a few . Today their are really only 2 new main stars imo in female muscle , Shannon Courtney and Danielle Reardon . But you had so many back in the day .

Has to be the late 80's to the mid-90's. There was a lot of love for female bodybuilding back then. :wob:

90's for sure. There were athletes much more charismatic, the routines were better and convincing, and the athletes had bodies muscularly more "explosive" more shapely and they had better female look. Bodybuilding today made several steps back and the IFBB is doing very bad job about this category.

I would say my personal opinion of the GOLDEN years of Female Bodybuilding would be from 1988-2003. 1988 because that imo was right at the beginning of the ladies realizing their potential of achieving that next level of physique. And I say 2003 because I think that was the time I started noticing when the "bolt-ons" were getting a little out of hand.
I mean how can any FBB fan not feel this way. Look at the ladies:

Can you imagine what it would have been like if these FBBs were in their prime today and if female bodybuilding was as popular now as it was back then. Where a high-def pic or video is merely a one click away. My Gawd, we'd all go broke from spending on fansites and sessions. These FBBs would be rich.

That's true, Video games and technology in general has improved over the years. But in my opinion, the 90's is the best decade to look back on. Most things were simple back then.

definitely mid-late 90s. I discovered FBB's through my first issue of muscular development mag with Renita harris on the cover and a special piece on Monica Brant. Since then, I always appreciated how FBB's looked back then compared to today.

For competions and professional shows definitly the 90´s,
what concerns diversity ,number of FBB training, for their own purpose `s in the world (sadly mostly in web & not in realitiy...)
