Denise had been competing for a long time as one of the best lightweights in the country, and our cameras finally caught up with her- twice- in 1999. She was in very top contest shape (5'1" 125 pounds) at the time of the Jan Tana Pro contest (and her routine there is included), then she was in very strong off-season shape later in the year at 135 pounds- a lot of dense muscle to carry on that short frame. At the Tana she was really ripped and the new IFBB pro hit the shots in two swimsuits and two dresses in perfect lighting next to the Hotel Roanoke (Virginia) where the contest was held. Her lower body was very well muscled, but her upper body was unreal, showing off huge biceps and chiseled chest, triceps and back poses. For her November session, it was a very warm day and we were able to do a lot more posing with her outside again. For some reason we did not do gymwork, but again, a lot of posing and her interview.
