How do you save/dl a video from dailymotion to your hd? Any info is appreciated.
-
http://www.flashvideodownloader.org/
I think keepvid works with daily motion too.
-
This has always worked for me.
http://keepvid.com/
-
Many free programs can be found at http://download.cnet.com.
Search "youtube downloader."
-
i use Easy Youtube video download 6.5....yesterday it worked
have you tried differend videos? some videos seems to have a better protection against downloading
-
I had this problem as well, what it was (well for me anyways) was the new Java update. i basically rolled back to a previous java, cancelled all future update notifications and i can download from youtube using keepvid.com and snipmp3.com no problem now
-
I always used the Firefox extension YoutubeDownloader, but it quit working. http://keepvid.com is still working, however. I think Youtube's installed some sort of new back end technology to block .flv downloaders, but going through keepvid thwarts it.

you shouldn't disable the java updates. some older versions had critical security bugs in the java plugin.

You can also try www.savemedia.com It's just like keepvid.com

One of the things that can cause certain addins to not work is conflicts with other addins. Shut off addins one by one till you find the problem. Sometimes its just load order, you shut the addin off, things work, and then when you turn it back on everything works fine again. I have ran into this a few times when I have had to update an addin, and then something else breaks. As someone said shut off auto update. Besides this is a good idea anyway as some browser exploits use the update feature to install the bug. If you find there is no way to get two addins to play nice and work with both on, most of the time you can find another addin that does the same function to replace one or the other.

YouTube website had recently been updated since few weeks ago, and almost all youtube downloaders have stopped working after that update. I use a mobile YouTube video downloading app, which had stopped working too. Luckily the app developers noted the issue and they released an updated version only after which I could download videos again. So I must say all old youtube video downloading programs may not work anymore unless they're updated or new youtube video downloading apps can fix the issue.

I'm not sure what browser you are working with but the firefox addons still work.
Internet explorer sucks anyway, so dump it for something good, if your one of the few unenlightened ones still using IE.
In Firefox you can add a little addin to keep the web sites thinking your using internet explorer too if you want.
Youtube has been doing this crap for a long time, I get a little "You need to upgrade your browser" bit, I just click no and I'm still good to go.
Let them try to keep people from doing what they want, they can't and won't be able to do it, someone out there will find the info and fix the new great BS and put the fix out for the world to use.

Use Firefox with add-on DownloadHelper or with Internet Download Manager.
-
http://keepvid.com/
just copy/paste the url of the video
Also work with youtube
Yep use this, the firefox 'download helper' addon was recently unable to download dailymotion videos correctly, but this may have been fixed. Doesnt hurt to try!

Thanks to this thread I decided to download the latest update of DownloadHelper, and yes, they have. Works perfectly on Daily Motion now.
-
http://jdownloader.org
Youtube and Dailymotion.... and other things...
-
jdownloader definitely works for youtube. Not tried with DM. It's a good download tool. You should use it for all the links on this site.
I use DownloadHelper addon for youtube, DM etc though, works fine :)

Realplayer has a downloader plugin for browsers and it works pretty well. It has trouble with the windows streaming video player, do these others work on it? Like on the link below or is it some kind of protection that gets in the way?

-
OH GOD NO! NOT REALPLAYER! I thought we got rid of them years ago!
-
I'm still using Jdownloader for downloading vids form Youtube and Dailymotion.
Although to download vids from Dailmotion I have to do it via Linkgrabber/add links/add urls/Parse urls and I have to find the proper vid links.. ("deep encryption"?)
It's more complicated, but still - it works
-
Dera Admir please don't delete my post because I think this hint is important for other members.
Hey, I had just found the solution for blocked youtube clips.
For example here is a link for a blocked youtube video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoQSd4mJrAQ
Everything what do you had to do is following:
Write between "www." and "youtube" the both letters "ss" into.
The link look than following:
http://www.ssyoutube.com/watch?v=XoQSd4mJrAQ
Now you can watch or download this or other videos.
Pretty clever for a little duck. Don't you agree ?
-
Hello, All! ^-^
When attempting to download clips from Dailymotion, and using Real Downloader, my experience is that Real DL tells me it cannot download this particular clip...this is for virtually ANY fbb related clip... AND seems to be relatively recent...
Now, I've noticed MOST fbb clips are now labeled with language something like "Clip Does not meet community guidelines." The clip will play but I can't DL to HD...via Real DL...
I sign in and deactivate my "age gate" to no avail...
I've also tried Chrome and IE...also to no avail...
Any Thoughts!
All The Best! :)
-
Also get same problem. have been told it is daily motion getting clever.
Hopefully someone will come up with an answer to crack it
-
follow these steps:
1. Go to the dailymotion site and navigate to the video you want to download.
2. Copy the URL of the video in your browser's address bar.
3. Go to http://KeepVid.com and paste the copied URL into the URL text box.
4. Press the "Download" button next to the URL box.
5. Click the download link of your choice in the Download Links section of the KeepVid website. A new window opens.
6. Click to open the file with a certain program on your computer or click "Save File." Click the "OK" button. The video will start playing or will be saved to your computer, depending on your selection.
-
haha, most everyone knew this :)
-
I deleted accidentally my programs for the download of videos from Youtube, Dailymotion and so on....
I have Windows 7 with 64 Bit and Firefox.
Which programs do you use for for download videos from Youtube, Dailymotion and so on ?
-
Hello,
There is a FireFox extension named "downloadhelper" which works fine.
-
I usually just google youtube to avi. Is downloadhelper better? (I've never tried downloading something from dailymotion.)
-
I use keepvid.com for Youtube, as my extension doesn't allow ripping from there.
-
Take a look under the video. Both youtube and dailymotion have their own download links on most videos now.
-
i use savefrom.net now. works every time ;)
-
Downloadhelper also lets you convert to other formats.
-
Firefox + Flash Video Downloader add-on.
-
DownloadHelper for me too
+ GreaseMonkey & SaveTube script for those hard-to-get youtube clips ;)
-
Thanks, all. for these tips! K to everyone! All I know is that Dailymotion doesn't respond to RealPlayer download device...
BTW, has anyone else noticed that most FBB clips on Dailymotion are marked in red as (sic) Not Complying With Their Community "Standards..." ??? :shucks

Could this be that any visible square of skin might soon be considered as an offence in more and more western countries (There is a recent thread about this threat!) ?

Thank you very much for these tips.
Background for this request was the mistaken cancellation of two good download programs in the
Firefox browser.
Recently I had downloaded a video over a server.
But the name of this video file ended with "exe".
Normally, I don't want to download files with names "exe" but back then I have done it.
The video also contained a worm.
If I open a new browser tap on my browser then a browser tap with the name
"http://start.iminent.com/StartWeb/1031/newtab/Newtab.aspx" appears always .
I tried to delete this crap but I am failed.
This worm prevents that I can add new utilities on my Firefox-Browser.
For example "Download-helper" and so on.
I opened control panel of my computer and I tried to delete this program but this was unsuccessful.
I tried to change the homepage of my browser but this was also useless.
Then I tried to find this crap into the registry.
However without any success.
My antivirus software from Kaspersky could identify this malware but it could not repair my browser.
Now, I use Windows Explorer 10 for surfing in the web.
Buddies, I can only advise you the following:
Don't be so silly than I and download NEVER a file with ended name "exe" !
-
Hey buddy .. U could also use internet download manager and integrate ur browser to download vids :)
-
I use keepvid.com to save the best youtube videos to the hard drive. Just cut and paste the url and choose the resolution you want.

Generally on this kind of bug a good firewall can prevent the critter from installing. The one included with windows is not a good firewall. Nor are most of the big name firewall apps as they don't work from its blocked until a rule is setup to let the app connect to the web rather than everything is open which is the default on most firewall apps. Even firewall apps that only have "internet" apps enabled are not good ones to use. In general this means a firewall app this is real easy to setup is usually a piece of crap. On a good firewall you will need to spend time enabling each app you need to connect to the web. Also you should note I mentioned "app"(Application) and that is also another key to a good firewall app. That is, you should need to set a rule for each specific app that connects to the web. Any firewall ware you just enable say port 80 for all apps so you can use a web browser is not secure. As that port can now be used by malware. What you need is a firewall that you enable port 80 only on a specific app like for an example firefox. The firewall should also do a check to make sure its always the same application that it allows to work as many types of malware will use a common name or even replace an app you already have. Many will even duplicate the functions of the original app so they don't seem to be malware at all. Another problem is firewalls that setup windows and all its associated files as "trusted" or in other words enables them to connect to the web. Many types of malware replace windows files, also microsoft has a bunch of spyware in its programs by default. So blocking this spyware with a real firewall will make your machine more secure and also make it faster as these POS windows spyware apps are sending out a bunch of crap thereby slowing your web connection.
Now all that said, what people want is a firewall that just installs and everything works. People have gotten more lazy over time and now want everything to be so simple a child can do it. They get just what they deserve, computers that are full of bugs, are slow and sluggish and are easy victims to malware Any firewall that you just install and your done, is not secure and is not a good firewall to use.
Anyway a few ideas that mite help you in the future to keep malware off your computer.

I used to use keepvid.com, but the ytd video downloader
is better.
-
I download from here: http://en.savefrom.net/, without programs. its valid for YouTube or Dailymotion. you must be to copy the videos link and paste....and download in mp4 or avi, etc.

Hey I clicked around a bit and found a page with info on how you can get rid of this critter, I can't tell you how useful it is as I've never had this bug to get rid of but its worth a try. I read a bit of it and it seems to be fairly well written for a novice computer user to understand. So it should work for you.

This has always worked for me.
http://keepvid.com/
I agree, keepvid is really simple to save videos from various sites in HD quality. Only java is needed!
-
If you want to get videos off certain sites I recommend these:
http://en.savefrom.net/
Save from. net is good
Keepvid is another good video downloading tool.
keepvid.com
-
u forgot the "4k video downloader" for downloading utube clips in the highest possible resolution
i personally use "Download helper" and "4k video downloader"
-
DownloadHelper works well for most YT videos, but not full HD ones.
For those, I use jDownloader or youtube downloader hd - both free.
-
usar freemake video downloader a mi me funciona
-
http://convert2mp3.net/en/
Works as a copy & paste option, but will also work as an add-on...
-
I use ATube catcher.
http://www.atube.me
You can download from youtube in multiple formats, the streamcatcher works on some sites, and what I use for screen recording.
-
For downloads from YouTube:
http://www.flvto.biz/
-
i use the Chrome extension "video downloader plus" for most pages, for YT flvto.biz
-
I have an older Mac (OS 10.6.8) and use
videoblend: http://www.videoblend.org
simple, free, works just fine for youtube - haven't tried it on other sites.
-
I usually use these sites :
Youtube converter (https://www.mp3park.com/)
Mp3 converter (https://www.mp3converter.net/)
Dailymotion downloader (https://www.mp3converter.net/dailymotion-downloader)
Facebook video downloader (https://www.mp3converter.net/facebook-video-downloader)
