Marina says she is happy with her progress towards 2020 contest season, when she will debut in IFBB Pro League.
Picture 1 is when she was in best condition 2018, her Pro Debut in IFBB Elite (smaller athletes in Elite). 
Pictures 2,,3, 5 and 6 are her current condition, she is about 60kg at 154cm. Off season of course, and with a year off competing, to pursue other interests and life experiences.
From the standard you have seen this year, with Physique athletes at their best ever, next year may be even tougher.

Marina is now coaching other athletes, and so her focus is much more on her sports life, than it has been for the last 8 years. This may be her chance, as she no longer has to train alone and be self motivated.
It will be amazing to see her beat her best ever condition, which she must do, in order to stand against the best in the world, the IFBB Pro League athletes!

We wish you good preparation for 2020 Marina! We know you can do it, as you have done it so many times before.

Marina never performs full power crab most musculars, so we never really see just how developed she is, and how hard she can be to beat.. Sherri Gray, who was the USA's favourite to win, could probably tell us what it was like to face Marina.

In 2011 she was bigger but a little less cut.

Marina is making her IFBB Pro League debut as a Pro at the Toronto pro in 16 weeks time!
This is her after workout this last weekend. She says she has 16 weeks to improve.
Her prep started 1.5 months ago, she was 57 kg at height 154cm. Now, she is up to 60kg, and more defined.

Marina has not been on stage since she won her pro card in December 2018 (She also won her IFBB Elite pro card in March 2018, and her debut in May saw her take 4th place).
It will be interesting to see how she does in Pro league, where the athletes are much more defined and bigger, and having had another year off stage.
I only know of Lauren Martin Stow who will also have her pro debut in Toronto, also off stage since she won her card in 2018, and also promising to be much better than she is now!
Lauren will have her work cut out to challenge Marina, but I have seen her in critical shape, so it could be a good battle!  To do well in Toronto, Marina needs to be in the best shape since 2016, and preferably better than 2011, when she was at her all time best.   

But, as we all know, it all depends who turns up on the day. With many athletes wanting to be at the Ms O this year, for the return of FBB,  and wanting to get wins and high placings to qualify,  I am hoping the standards will be exceptionally high, this season.

She is a world record holder in bench press at her weight, but Toronto will mark Marina's most important contest of her Physique sport career, to date.

Marina is a World Record holder, at her bodyweight,  at bench press. Powerlifting is her first love.
She is sad that she can no longer compete at powerlifting. No other woman has beaten her world record yet.

Here, Marina was entering a Powerlifting contest in St Petersberg. She did not lift her heaviest there, achieving 102.5 kg bench press, and 120 kg squat no bandages. She has squatted 160kg in bandages.
Marina retains the world record bench press at her body weight.

In this picture she is not preparing for a bodybuilding contest, this is her natural condition for power lifting. A better resolution was not available, taken with mobile phone when quality was not so good!

Form check before fighting for her Pro Card in Venice 2018. Marina won the Physique Overall, battling powerful competition. She even entered the Bodybuilding contest, and won her class, before being out massed by the largest competitor she ever faced, Maria Bradley! Although Marina was out muscled by Maria, she still gave the big girl a shock by flexing considerably superior abs! One reason Marina has been called "The Giant Killer" in the past, she is rarely  beaten in every muscle group.
