Olympia 2017 is officially down in the books. This experience will be in my journey forever, and I can say that I am leaving with a positive outlook for the future.

Many of you know that this was my 3rd Olympia; however, I did not qualify last year, and the previous two qualifications came on points. This was my first year on a pro win, and my "redemption season" to say the least... It is hard for us to put our journeys into perspective at times. We go and go, and we sometimes forget to stop to reflect on how far we've come. For me, thinking back to just four years ago when I didn't know if I would EVER be good enough to make it to the Olympia. I would have given anything just to BE on that stage. And now, my expectations are much higher; which they should be.

What I take from this experience is only what I have control over for the future. In the future, I need to make sure that I time my final moments better with carbing up, dialing in, etc. I need to look at the areas of my physique that need the most work and stay focused on making those improvements without ever letting off the gas. I need to stay passionate (something I have NEVER lost, and would be "lethal" to my progression if I did). With PASSION fueling my days and my spirit, I can only move onward and upward!
My next goal in my competition journey will be Border States in 3 weeks. I have a few little mistakes that I need to fix before 2017 is over! I just can't rest before displaying my artwork in its full capacity.

I would find it virtually impossible to be a judge for IFBB or NPC. It's not that Wonderful Wendy did not come to the 2017 Olympia in shape, it's that the entire lineup was just so damned good! How to judge the minute differences, especially when you love ALL the women? I would likely flop as a judge. More success to our delightful Ms. Fortino.
