I'm thinking maybe a model can give away a large number of free subscriptions and somehow that way get lots of likes from other people... but I have no idea, I'm just speculating.

Whenever I see comments like this I'm reminded of how many people there are lol. Whenever I see games make bad decisions but people still pay for in game stuff, even if it's not me, they keep the game going.

So even if Qimmah has similar or better stuff floating around the internet than whats on her OF, there will always be people paying for it. She has nearly 2 million followers, most of which are men. I once called up to see what the rates were for her group training classes (this was about 5 years ago) and the prices were quite high. I have no inclination to see what's under the hood in terms of her statistics (by paying anyway) but i was subbed to Natasha Aughey at one point who was even MORE disappointing, and some of her photos had 150+ likes. So at some point during one of those "active" months at least 150 people were subbed.

I talked to one woman who has one and said thanks to her 94k+ IG following she was pulling in about 7500 a month from OF. At 10$ a month thats around 750 subs, which is a little less than 1% of her IG following. Let's bring it down to about 500 subs, so 5k a month from subs and 2500 from people shelling out tips and buying DM videos. So half a percent of her following. If half a percent of Qimmah's IG followers ported over that's 10k subs, and at 35 a month that's mint.

I have no idea what her numbers are and i highly suspect that her subs are less that half of my generous estimate, that's still 12 likes per person. ALSO i suspect that many don't interact at ALL.

i would also like to add that after seeing my own spending habits, and reading about other's spending habits I'm not surprised anymore. some stuff i've read on ***** on what people pay for on OF....like i would never fathom paying anyone for photos of their feet and there are people making more than my annual income off of feet photos alone.

For starters, horny guys will spend a lot of money. Also, in the US at least, making $100k or more is only 85th percentile or something like that (even lower if household income). With hundreds of millions of people, there are *a lot* of people making a lot of money. Sure, $100k isn't *that* much in the VHCOL cities, but it's still plenty to waste some money on OF. Then even $200k is like 95th percentile or something, so there are still a lot of people making even more than that.

Then we live in a consumer nation (and world). Even those not making that much don't see that they're buying a $40k car, they see they're spending $600/month or whatever. They stop at Starbucks before work every morning, go out to lunch every day, spend on subscriptions they don't even really need like Netflix. They don't actually add it up to see the true (monthly/annual) cost. Dropping $35 on a porn site won't be that much to them, especially if they've been sitting at home for 1-2 years, are annoyed with their family (not used to spending this much time with them), want some alone time, etc. Yeah, spending $35 and getting ripped off sucks, but people with money to spend aren't going to lose sleep over it. They'll make sure never to sub to her again.

Yes, it's true, there are lots of people, and a lot of people with a lot of money. And many are willing to take a risk and subscribe to someone even though they don't know what the content's gonna be like. Like I have done myself many times... So I can actually understand if a model can make a lot of money even with a miserable OF page. But when it comes to hitting the "like" button I still find it a bit hard to understand.. But maybe it's like you suggested, some models have so many followers that even if only a tiny tiny fraction of them likes a post it could mean 50 likes or something... Yeah I guess it's possible. So anyway if there's something to learn from all of this I guess it would be that a high number of likes does not necessarily mean good content. At least I will try to keep this in mind myself from now on...

Not sure what you think like means. It's not a commitment to marry the girl, it's just a click. Companies have spent many millions on UX designers to come up with interfaces that get people to click things (such as the Like button) as often as possible. These are eyeballs-on-screens companies. Some guys probably also think clicking like more, commenting, sending messages will actually get the girl interested in them on a personal level.

People are willing to spend small amounts here and there, which add up, not just for sex or porn. I constantly see ads on social media from politicians begging for $20 donations, and they get millions, so someone must be spending. Just today I got an email from a tech company asking for donations to help refugees in need, as well as an email from a food bank asking for donations. Economy of scale can raise quite a lot of money.

Even if half the country lives in or near poverty and aren't spending much, the next 30% makes an okay amount and has some disposable income, the next 10% has a lot of disposable income, and the last 10% has an obscene amount of disposable income.

They can't force engagement on all pages. Some creators just aren't successful. They can create an experience that causes a lot of engagement on the popular pages instead of just kind of meh engagement.

I would bet that a lot of people don't like or comment for privacy reasons. Even if they use fake names and you can't see a list of who liked what, onlyfans is not engineered particularly well (for example, I can buy a video in PM, extract the URL, and send the onlyfans link to the video to someone who has never made an onlyfans account, and they can download it without any authentication, all in about 1 minute of effort), so it might be reasonable to be nervous whether there's some kind of backdoor to gain access to your email etc.

I still don't know the value of the likes anyway, other than you feel like you're a little closer to interacting with the model, or it's a small high for them to see large like counts.

As usual, there will be maybe a few hundred creators with an insane number of likes/subscribers/tips/whatever, a few thousand more with respectable numbers, and almost everyone making essentially nothing. I've seen lots of internet posts about onlyfans/clips4sale/whatever where creators are talking about how making a few hundred extra bucks a month would be huge for them. Most people are in that mindset, very few actually make tens of thousands per month posting pictures of themselves (though those that do have certainly benefitted hugely from the platform's existence).
