One good thing about there being one less pro bodybuilding show is that we can certain that
the competitors are going to show up in AWESOME shape for the few remaining pro shows.

I have a feeling that we are going to see future NPC FBB and women's physique competitors refusing to accept pro cards if they place high enough to earn one.

Needless to say, so goes the Olympia, so goes both categories everywhere, and it might just spread to the NPC, assuming it hasn't happened already.

Actually Arnold should have them pull his name from the event in protest of the disrespect of the FBB's.
But I doubt that will happen, Arnold probably gets a big paycheck and doesn't care if the FBB's are getting screwed over yet again.
The FBB's should be filing a discrimination lawsuit on the IFBB, the Arnold, etc., etc., etc., and all of the clowns running the whole mess.
Also while the FBB's are at it they should be filing suit on them about wage discrimination(prizes, etc.).
And lets see a suit on over dieting other health issues, perv's in the dressing/pump room, etc ......
Hit em in the pocketbook, a few billion in law suits mite knock some sense into the bodybuilding world.

You know the IFBB/NPC would be able to squash any type of lawsuit in nothing flat, sure the ladies have every reason to consider one (discrimination) I don't deny that but deep down they know they'd never stand a chance of actually coming out on the winning end. The best they'd do would probably be getting 'hush money' to keep quiet and settle out of court. What they need, as we've discussed on many occasions here is some entity to pony up big money to start another fed.

I'd love to turn up with an Acetylene torch, cut the pole down with the competitors watching, weld some weights on the ends, and say "Now give is a show, start pumping that".

Its a real sport and has not much to do with the pole from night clubs - most of the girls are really muscular - form follows function. The gils do not strip, its more kind of hard gymnastics combined with dance ...

No one is "blaming" pole fitness (that term sounds so kinky doesn't it?) per se, it's just us asking why drop bodybuilding/physique from one of the biggest shows of the year in favor of,as you said, a gymnastics/dance type of program? Plus,it's Arnold  Schwarzenegger's show for cryin' out loud, you'd think of all the people involved in the sport HE would give the women a fair chance.

I'm not putting down the women in pole fitness, and yes I'm sure they are in great shape.   
But come on here!  We all know exactly what this is.

And you should also note a lot of strippers are athletes.
Hell there are even ones that would do well in a bodybuilding contest. 
But pole fitness is just another name for stripper pole.
I wonder if the women will have to come out and give the judges a lap dance?   

Replacing female bodybuilding with Pole Dancing will get rid of anyone's misguided image of the IFBB as a serious bodybuilding federation.
It never truly was, but at least it went threw the motions of pretending to be one.   
Hell I don't know why the IFBB didn't just go bouncing boobies pageant.
Then the IFBB would still work and they could keep their current letterhead.
