Why I am submissive? And why are you if you are too?

Why am I submissive?

My desire to submit to a dominant woman is rooted in my body image (and body reality!) growing up. As I got to middle school and onwards, I always felt that I was thin and weak for a boy... and I always admired girls who were athletic and strong. My reaction to feeling weak, less than them, could have been to resent stronger girls or be intimidated by them, but instead I felt deeply aroused by them. Even other more subtle things I felt lacking, like not having much body hair and seeing some girls with more, were things I eroticized. Note that I was not generally shy or meek. I was usually the smartest kid in my classes, and I was not afraid of asking questions, answering questions from teachers, and generally have always been very confident in the intellectual "sphere." But I was always a bit shy around girls due to my feelings of physical inadequacy.

As I reached adulthood, I continued to be skinny: I am 5'10 and my weight fluctuated between 130 and 135lbs when I was 18 to 25, and my only physical activity was occasionally playing soccer or basketball – no gym or lifting weights. So, I realistically thought that some young women could physically dominate me (I lived in a Southern European country during that period, so likely not that many girls were stronger than me as if I had lived in the US at the time, but still some)... I did have that experience with my first girlfriend (a story I may tell another day).

I always try to be nice to women, particularly when I find them attractive, although without crossing any boundaries. I find a woman dominating me with their beauty and sex appeal sexy... I find a woman physically overpowering me and forcing me to do her bidding amazingly hot on another level!!

I dont think there's anything wrong with having a personal preference. I read something once that often the attraction towards very strong women can be a symbolic female or motherly figure that is extremely capable and figuratively strong in overcoming challenges. The article i read was basically saying men with mothers they perceived  as "weak" may be most likely to be attracted to, conversely, women that symbolically represent this supreme strength. So it takes on a physical manifestation. Now I say all that to say, who tf knows if any of that is true? Guess it depends on the individual.

I find looking at FBBs to be relaxing. I study anatomy so theres that, and im not interested in men so seeing strong women is just more exotic. But yeah in terms of being dominated or whatever I think thats pretty common for men, especially since we are always supposed to be the strong dominant ones. I think it makes sense why men wpuld have fantasies outside the roles prescribed to them by social pressures etc.

Hi!
I have always wondered if my passion for muscle girls is a form of masochism, but perhaps in my case it is more about admiring female strenght and not aboout being psycological dominated by a Mistress herself.
But, at the same time, I think that my preference for strong females is derived from my personal story: I am a weak man due to a real physical problems and, although I am not attracted only by strong girls, muscle woman are for me a dream and being lifted by them is one of my favourite fantasy.
I don't know, to be hostest, if, although I don't think so, I am a no other than a masochist. In that case there would be anything bad in this thing.
I hope having given a little contribute to this discussion.
Thanks for your attention

Thanks for sharing that. I think it's interesting because your story highlights something that comes up fairly often in the female muscle community: admiration and attraction can develop from feelings that have very little to do with traditional ideas of masculinity or dominance.

In your case, it sounds like you became very aware of physical differences at a young age. Instead of responding with insecurity or resentment, you developed an appreciation for the qualities you saw in athletic and strong women. Over time, that admiration became part of your attraction.

I also think many people separate confidence into different areas of life. Someone can be extremely confident intellectually, professionally, or socially, while still being fascinated by a partner who excels in an area where they feel less exceptional. That doesn't necessarily mean they're weak or lacking confidence overall.

Another thing I've noticed is that a lot of people use the word "submissive" to describe very different experiences. For some, it's about physical strength differences. For others, it's about personality, trust, admiration, or simply enjoying a dynamic that contrasts with their everyday life.

Personally, I think attraction is often less about what we lack and more about what we find fascinating or inspiring. Many fans of female bodybuilding and strength sports are drawn to qualities that stand out from the norm—strength, discipline, confidence, physical power—and those qualities can influence fantasies and relationship dynamics in different ways.

I'd be curious to hear from others: do you think your attraction to strong women came primarily from admiration, from personal experiences growing up, or was it simply something that was always there for as long as you can remember?
