With Ronda being defeated so easly in her last fight , i'am kind of amazed that her popularity is at an all time high . And Holly H.  doesn't get close to the attention as Ronda . Almost like Ronda never lost .

That's because Ronda's hype-train was developed over years of dominance. MMA is still a relative niche sport, so it took a while for the media to pick up on her. Equally, it'll take a while for her to fade. She worked hard at self promoting her badass image and the vast majority of her fan base are casuals who probably aren't even aware that she's lost the championship belt. Holly isn't as controversial, so it's not surprising that she (or any future champs) may never reach the dizzying heights of Rousey (in regards to the number of twit*** folowers).

Kind of like with Mike Tyson when he lossed to Buster Douglas. Before Mike went to prison he was going to fight Holyfield after he beat Douglas.

They say styles make fights. Imagine if Miesha managed to shoot in and take Holly to the ground, smothering, or submitting her. Then Rousey/Tate 3 could theoretically be an easier route for Ronda to regain the title.

Of course it would.  But that won't happen.  Maybe Rousey was indeed concussed, she sure didn't look like her usual self in the second round...but if Rousey couldn't get her on the ground Tate sure won't be able to.

good gawd did Holm knock her permanently senseless?  There's no CRYING in MMA.

I was hoping...but she may never fight again.

 What i don't understand is why is the media acting like She is still the top mma female on the planet ?   She just didn't get beat by Holly H.  , she was outclassed so bad it was like she was not in the same league .  Fighters like Laila Ali , even said the best fighter in the world , in their prime doesn't get beat like that !  Yet still Ronda is on SNL , major photo shoots , talk shows , movie deals . And you don't even hear about Holly hardly .  Nothing is based on merit it seems anymore just who's popular ..  not a bash on Ronda but this is crazy .
