A member has asked me about any recollections of Sharon.  The following is just from memory, not from consulting any files I have of her.

I first noticed her at a show in Edmonton, Alberta that I was covering for FLEX (I think).  She was in the Middleweight class.  I noted her poise on stage, coupled with an elegance of movement when she posed.  I think she came in fourth in her class.  I tracked her down and the next day she and her "husband" came to my room.  "Husband" in quotes because she introduced Colin as such but later I found out that they were not married.  She said that she had been a presenter for Chippendales and that Colin had been the choreographer.  Later I learned that she was the choreographer and that Colin was in fact a dancer.  There had been a murder and she and Colin left the group.

Regardless, she clearly had the moves and I took a few rolls of film of her posing around the hotel.  Even though it was late May, it had snowed the day before.  She never complained about the temperature when we briefly went outside.  I thought that she had much potential for BB if she added a few pounds.

At that time I was living near the beach in Vancouver.  A few months later out of the blue I received a phone call from her, announcing that they had moved from Edmonton to Vancouver and were going to live in North Vancouver.  I asked her why North Van and she said she had heard that that was the right area of Vancouver in which to live.  I told her that my neighbourhood was the right area in which to live (Kits).  Shortly she and Colin were living within walking distance of my residence and she was training at the Olympic Gym where the beauteous Carla Temple had trained and at that time was into personal training.  She and "Latia Lapre" became friends and training partners.  "Latia" told me that Sharon started taking steroids around this time and did add those extra pounds of muscle necessary for future BB success.

When I browsed the thread I did notice her "Gold Statue" posing routine at the Craig's Emerald Cup.  Clearly Sharon was a choreographer as this routine illustrated.  I think among my hundred or so hours of BB video, I have a Hi-8 version of this routine.

I had one major photo shoot with her in Vancouver and learned never to lend out negatives to competitors from that experience.  Then she and Colin were gone to LA.  She did sign a contract with Weider while there, but never attained the Ms. Olympia title.  I heard that she became ill from side effects of drugs and had to retire from FBB.  When I last encountered her (in Toronto) she said she was living in Las Vegas and her "husband" was no longer with her.
