I had a brief affair with an IFBB Pro and O competitor back in 2012, and she took me to her gym where we trained arms. At that point I was in the best shape of my life and thought I was pretty hot shit. Then she took me over to the db rack and said, "Let's run the rack from 50s down to the 10s, sets of ten." Yeah, I gulped . . . and it was only the male ego and my abject terror of looking like a complete loser that allowed me to hang with her. She crushed 30 sets into 47 minutes and when we were done, I was useless as tits on a frog. And no, nothing happened that night. LOL!  Professionally trained women hip deep in the life will dust any weekend warrior, period.

What was her max DB curl?

I have been going to the gym consistently for last 2 years and definitely feel stronger. I can now do like 54lb (24kg) hammer curls after struggling with 26lbs (12kg) but when Vikingqueen told me she does 66lbs (30kg) bicep curls and 60kg barbell curls. I was in shock like there's no way in my head she could lift that much. Even told me next we go to the gym and she would show me in person.

Ms Xena told me she does 100lbs (45kg) shoulder DB presses. The max I can do atm is 70lbs (32kg) and that's a struggle feel like I am years behind them in terms of lifting that kind of weight. Wish I started lifting earlier at a younger age

She wasn't a mass monster, so I don't think she would have been doing much more than that . . . although now that I think on it, doing nine consecutive sets of ten reps all the way down to 10s . . . yeah, she must've maxed out well above 50s, but I don't know how much or if she even trained that heavy. I totally believe VQ doing 30kg and Ms. Xena doing 45s. I sessioned with Ms. Xena once and although not aggressive or dominant, when I asked her to demo her strength, it was a bit frightening.

Doing 10 reps plus tons of sets with minimal resting periods is a recipe for disaster. More likely to get injured, fatigued and lose muscle.
Since I started incorporating 5-7 reps with 3 min rest in between sets reps my strength has exploded exponentially.

I wonder if that's why she is so passive in sessions if she uses like 10% of her strength she could seriously injure clients. Never asked her but wonder if she has beat up clients pretty badly in the past? Or been in street fights?

She used to be a competitive kick-boxer before she was a bodybuilder I believe.
TBH, I had seen her quite a lot and I think she seems genuinely just super laid back as a person.

I did ask Lisa Cross if she does personal training sessions at her gym but says only online sessions.
Rene Campbell doesn't offer PT sessions.

Tamara Makar retired from sessions but does offer PT in Dubai. She has schmoes as clients
Helle Trevino has retired from IFBB apparently, did ask about MW sessions said no but mentioned PT sessions at around 150 euros. She travels across the globe frequently so hard to pin her down.

You need both. Heavy weights and longer rests trigger myofibrillar hypertrophy. That adds muscle fibers. Lighter weights more reps and shorter rests trigger sarcoplasmic hypertrophy. That increases the muscle by adding a "gas tank" around the muscle fibers. Thats why so many FBBs are way stronger than muscular men despite being the same weight or even a bit lighter. For natural athletes its easier and faster to add size with higher reps and lower weights. Anabolic steroid primarily trigger myofibrillar hypertrophy.

Not passive, she is simply just not that strong as she looks! and she admits it

Years ago I heard a great quote by a fbb friend of mine.  Some guy was giving her shit becuase she didn't bench as much as he thought she should be able to.

She said,  "I'm a bodybuilder,  my job is to look strong, not be strong."

After that, I've never been surprised either way.  Just makes too much sense

When I saw Xena last year she was around 100kg pure muscle. I think she is stronger now than she was 5-10 years ago where she looked leaner and not as big but could be way off.

I doubt she is stronger, considering she is getting up there in age, Hard to believe she gets stronger in her 50's than her peak

I might be going to Sweden in March and I did ask about PT sessions with her in Sweden but she said no. Will do sessions at a hotel but no PT.
