Yep Sooooo Hot in her day.

I was in high school when she really hit her stride...making all of the magazine covers and looking like she might overtake Cory as the Queen of Female Bodybuilding.

I worked out and bought the standard M&F and Flex magazines at the time.
I was absolutely blown away with her and her muscles and would "casually" show pictures of her to friends when they came over to hang out.

Anyway...I would ask them if they thought she was Hot. The usual response was "No, her muscles are too big.".  Only one of my buddies also thought she was a smoke show.  So of course, he and I ended up always asking out the naturally muscular girls at school.

 Tonya Knight has died of cancer today. She was 56 years old. I learned of this from Rick Valente. I met her in Santa Monica about 25 years ago. She had her then small son with her. She was so nice. I recently recalled that meeting with her on IG and asked about her son. She told me both were doing fine and she remembered the meeting. Nice lady. Join me in offering condolences. Deaths in this sport is happening too frequently. More info as it becomes available.

Very sad day 

One of my all-time favorite Female Bodybuilders of all time.  When I was first discovering my love for female bodybuilders in high-school, and trying to see if I was on an island about this...I would show pictures of her to my friends for validation.  Many of them agreed she was hot...even the ones that weren't into muscular chicks.

She will be missed.

Terrible loss for the sport. She was part of that great era of FBB along with your Cory Everson, Anja Langer, Diana Dennis from mid-1980's to early 1990's where competitors were muscular and feminine. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

We indicated that she died from cancer.

One of the few FBB's that had posters printed of her that were available in high street shops. She was a great ambassador for the sport, with a unique balance of muscularity and femininity that was acceptable at a time when FBB's were generally not considered feminine.

RIP Tonya.
