Probably she is one of the most beautiful and underrated girl from the sport... I think Karen and Cameo fell in a place where was not space for them. During her days was the switch between Lenda and Kim in bodybuilding increasing the huge gap between bodybuilders and fitness competitors. Karen never was very good during her presentations... too nervous and not enough abilities like the other shorter competitors. But her body was something to die for. It's only matter to pay attention to these pictures:
I always thought that she was the ULTIMATE as the "Athletic body type"... It's something like if you ask to me what is the picture I have in mind about the meaning of an athletic woman, the top pictures always came to my mind. From the same years were Timea and Lena, but with softer bodies because they were penalized as they were told "too muscular for fitness". The meat grinder swallow them and Lena loose her incredible calves, Timea became in a "in-shape-style-model" and Karen completely disappeared. Probably I'm becoming old thinking "past times were better", but when I see the competitors today, in fitness they are flavorless, in bodybuilding they loose their femininity, and in bikini they are just anorexic... It's like it's not space for a girl like Karen. I remember someone who said to me somthing like "feminine muscle", which it was hard to understand, but for some reason (probably genetics) some girls develop manly muscles and other ones, it doesn't matter how muscular they are, you will never confuse them with a man. I'm sure that Karen was in the last type, because every inch of her skin screams femininity in a very strong and ATHLETIC body.
