  • We hired a pro to be her coach a couple of months ago and she's growing like a weed.  Coach is handling training and diet now, and will teach her posing and do her makeup for the show.  Targeting June of 2018 for her first competition.  She's up about 8 lbs since the picture on the left taken on Memorial Day Weekend (5/29/17).

How excellent. It is hard for a woman to put on a lot of muscle for a start and to continue to do it when it isn't totally accepted by main stream society shows an enormous amount of self confidence and self esteem. I have had friends who have discontinued training after overhearing comments like "man arms" and the like when out shopping etc. You don't have to go too far outside the status quo to start to attract all sorts of commentary - fortunately this website shows just how much love there is for powerful women to help balance the equation!!

It is fantastic that you are so supportive of your wife - she should be really proud of what she has achieved so far. I hope she does really well in the show she is prepping for!!!

  • Hi Xena,

Thank you so much for the kind words, we both appreciate it!  When she started she was also hesitant about getting too big.  We both started almost 4 years ago.  I reassured her that it does not happen overnight and takes years of hard work.  Now, she complains she isn't big enough. Go figure!  And, her confidence and self esteem certainly grew as she did.

We both have enjoyed our journeys so far and are really looking forward to our continued progress.  I'm super proud of her!

  • She reads the forum regularly so she's already very appreciative.  Her arms are about 13.25" now and (on machines) she preacher curls 80 lbs and bench presses 150 lbs.  Both 3 sets of 15 reps.

Some pictures from today after training with her coach.  She is now about 4 months out.

  • I hope so! I believe that she know this forum and know what are you doing with her pics  ;D

In Europe we say: 33,66cm; 36,29kg and 68kg.
It isn't heavy lift for her if she could lift it for 15 reps. I know that it's road to comp., not to max lifts and size, but after season...  ;)

    Gr8 job, and go on!
