I remenber that I had read in 1991s'French Press, at the time of Olympia n around: Nearly 1m62 - Offseason 89 Kilos. Olympia contest shape : 79 Kg… But that was from frenh journalists… Anyway, I Always think it's realistic.

She was ahead of her time.. wasn't fully appreciated in an era where hyper-muscle was (sometimes) resented. I understand that symmetry (& a sleek aesthetic) still carries a lot of weight in female bodybuilding. But over the last 20+ years the huge muscle (in and of itself) has established a niche with fans. If there was social media, and a more democratized video industry, in Bev's prime, she would've had a huge legion of followers & fanatics.  She was awesome..

She should have won at least one Ms.Olympia. The great thing is that many female bodybuilders have imitated her look. Bev dared to step outside the box and be an innovator. That is how real change comes. With all the new divisions it will be fascinating to see what happens with the standard.

I think 405 is a little off, isn't there a 10lb plate on the end? That would make the life 425.

I wonder how hard her midsection was? Her abs look like they were carved from stone in that pose with her standing with hands on hips like some superheroine.
