Sad news Tuesday...apparently the rumors of Mandy Blank's death are true. I saw posts from Chris Cormier and Dexter Jackson on her death on get big.com, and Alex Ardenti posted that he heard she was found in her bathtub with the water overflowing, but added he had no specifics at the time.
I knew Mandy fairly well, and last saw her at Binais Begovic's Halloween party in Hollywood exactly three years ago. She was in good spirits and told me she was doing well with her personal training business in Hollywood.
She had moved from Florida to California about 15 years ago or so (not sure exactly), and was a dynamic performer and model. I hired her to guest pose at Pasadena City College when I promoted the Junior Cal (now the West Coast Classic) around 2007 or 2008.
Another loss much too soon.

Another one of those early fitness models with amazing looks and such a hot body. Surely an inspiration for a lot of girls that are around the scene nowadays. RIP Mandy!

That's a shocker. She was on just about every cover of most muscle magazines in the 90s. I remember her on Spin City in one episode. What a shame.

This is so sad. I am about her age (I find it rude to talk about womens age). But she was in a perfect shape and to looking into my own Life, it is so fr3aking sad. I am lost for Words.

Wow, this does come as a surprise. A magnificent beauty, and prolific model. You have to believe she was a real prize to work with because she did so much.

Mandy was a natural athlete, a uniquely gifted trainer, and most of all, an incredibly loving and kind person.
Everyone shone in her light.  She leaves behind a devastated community of family, friends, clients and fellow fitness artists who were inspired
and excited by her talent, energy, matchless style, and joy for living.

She motivated thousands of people to live their best and healthiest lives simply by sharing her authentic self with the world.

Please respect the privacy of her family at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mandy’s name, either
to BestFriends.Org, an animal rescue organization, or Lula Washington Dance Theater, a organization that provides dance education
to kids in underprivileged neighborhoods in LA.  Both were causes deeply important to Mandy.

A memorial will be scheduled for later this month; details will follow here.
