I saw this thread popup in my updated topics and I figure a bit of info on Janet would be in order.



Janet Tech

Born 1957(She was 31 in 1988, Female Bodybuilding mag.)
From Marlton, New york
In 1989 was fitness trainer at Gold's Gym in Cherry Hill.

Contest weight 112-114lbs
Off season weight as high as 128lbs
Height 5-foot 2 inches

Started weight training while attending painting and dance classes at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia in 1983. She did it primarily as a way to stay in shape for dancing.

I remember MuscleSport USA (is that STILL on?) had a clip of her posing with black gloves, which had my tongue wagging. It might have been the same video where she posed to Madonna's "Vogue." I remember from Tina Lockwood's WPW video, the interview points out that she lived down the street from Janet in southern NJ. Strangely, Tina never heard of her.

Muscle sport USA has been gone since 2002.

I recall that posing routine I thought I mite even have a clip but alas I didn't find one.   

I did find a few images of Janet in black gloves, not from the posing routine I'm sorry to say, but for the glove inclined here goes.




Janet was quite a few years older than Tina so I think its probably more likely that Tina's mom mite have known Janet.

Just rediscovered your post. Janet was one of the first women I had ever seen that was a bodybuilder and I've been hooked ever since.  Lines of a dancer and moved like a panther :-) Ironically today she would "only" be in the fitness category.  Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
