In case you didn't know: Concerning Shelley Beattie from the first pic. She had a long battle with bipolar disorder (previously known as manic depression), attempted suicide in Portland, Oregon on February 13, 2008 and died February 16, 2008 as a result from hanging herself. She was my all time favorite Gladiator.

Fond memories of Shelley - her in WPW V160 (with Kris Luebke) was the first FBB video I ever bought, back whilst I was at college in the early 1990s.  Stunning woman, great proportions and a great ambassador for the sport and deaf people for many years (I remember she was voted the person most women who worked out admired amongst FBBs in the early-mid 1990s - a testament to her popularity [especially so on Gladiators]).



With Sandy Riddell, to me she was the woman that no man could tame (she supposedly "wore out" [wink, wink] her huge bodybuilding husband from the 1990s, Mike Matarazzo and was famed for her "apitite").  One of my favourites from that era (she was BIG even compared to many today), she could rescue me from a fire any time (must be somehthing genetic with her, Sherry Smith etc)!
