Don't know what became of it but I seem to recall reading an item somewhere some years ago noting that Pirie's license had been suspended or was in the process of being such owing to improper matters at her practice. Thought she was a stunner as I reckon she was well virtually a senior compared to most of her competition. I think I once noted that when I exchanged emails with her she stated that Pillow was a very sweet person but a shy one.

Well I have not exactly followed Dr. Pirie's endeavors in bodybuilding or elsewhere. I did once email her via her professional website and she sounded very appreciative of my acknowledging her endeavors in the iron game. As for her legal matters, it was a a case of entering her name into a search engine and finding out such. I didn't exactly know what became of her hearing or what drug was the one she got in trouble for using via her practice. I think it was HGH.

Yes it was the 1984 IFBB World Amateur Championships

Some photo captions are wrong, in the way that, according to MuscleMemory, there were two classes only in this competition:
the Heavyweights and the Lightweights, no Middleweights

Just an opinion, and I think I have voice such before, but from the pictures that I have seen of her at the 1983 Olympia, Kay was in far superior condition for that event than the 1984 competition. While sure many would have loved to have seen her take the title, I gather it would have been something of a victory for her to have been runner-up to the woman who would take the title in 1983: Carla Dunlap.
